Hello all!
Just wanted to introduce myself and family. We booked this trip well over a year ago and can't believe it's almost here! My name is Meghan and my husband is Joe. We have a 5 year old son and a 2 year old daughter. We will also be traveling with my parents. We have cruised the Wonder in 2003 and 2008 but this is our first 7 day on the Magic. Not much more to add, but just wanted to introduce ourselves and say how much these boards have helped us prepare and how excited we are!

Do I spy Margaritaville Or is it the other way?

Margaritaville is actually to the right of this picture. You walk to the end of the pier and turn right. It takes approx 5 minutes easy walk from there. Even the incredibly inebriated and hung over Carnival cruisers made it over to Margaritiville. Must have been one heck of a party on that ship. We will be seeing the Carnival Legend in both Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

I have another cruising tip that I haven't seen here before:

Get some blank labels and make post card address labels in advance. You can either write them out or print them. This way, you won't forget anyone, you won't be wasting time writing out addresses and you don't have to bring your address book. And don't forget, if you want to mail your post cards from Castaway Cay, you have to bring CASH to the cute little post office. Just don't expect your post cards to beat you home, since the post office runs on Bahamas Time

Close enough for goverment work. To be honest, the only other date I know would be Fri, and that would be the couple getting married on CC. Other then that, who knows with DCL.

We don't have a clue how to do magents. Nancy and I will admit we arn't crafty people..

Easiest way Ive found, is to download any pictures to your computer. Open up a blank word document. On the top, there should be a button that says insert. Click it. Then click pictures. (the newer one has a little picture on the top bar) select the picture you want to print, then hit ok, finish or what ever the popup screen says.The picture will automatically move to the word document.

Now you have a choice. You can leave the picture as is, or you can make it bigger or smaller, just by clicking on it.

If you left click on a picture, you can drag it around the page. click the picture 1 time, and youll see little circles and a box get drawn around the picture. Left click on the center circle and hold it, and you can change the size of the picture, bigger or smaller.Click on the word document, on the right lower side of the picture, but on the document itself. Then go thru the insert picture routine/resize as many times as you like.

Once you are satisfied with the result, place a blank sheet of paper in the printer, mark 1 of the corners closest to the printer, and then click print. This tells you which side the printer will print on,(some printers will print on the opposite side of the paper,that is up in the tray)so you know which way to load the magnet paper, and also gives you a chance to proof the pictures to make sure they are what you want before printing them on a magnet sheet.
