Alaska is not cold in the summer. We were in Alaska in July and it was in the upper 80's and low 90's while we were there. That was in Fairbanks!! The mosquito's are what you should be concerned about!! They fly around with knives and forks!!
All joking aside, it is the most beautiful place I have ever been. Simply incredible.

since I'm SO used to mosquito's it will be like at home LOL
and the weather will be almost the same too

Hey everyone!!!

The space shuttle just landed here in California and boy was the sonic boom loud!! I was sitting here watching the NASA channel expecting to hear it, and it still made me jump!! LOL
It was pretty cool..... I was able to see the this space shuttle launch 2 weeks ago from Orlando, and now was able to hear it land from my home in California!! Pretty awesome!!!!
I just had to share my excitement with everyone!!!

Y'all see where those of us in the Castaway Club who have been on 5 or less cruises, have been put back in steerage by DCL. Until after your 5th cruise, no more Castaway Club receptions, and no more early onboard booking of new itineraries before the general public.
Way to go DCL. You have two 4000 passenger ships coming, and you alienate the largest part of your loyal customer base????? What are you thinking????
Check out the new Castaway Club site at www.DisneyCruise.com. Oh and BTW, you will need your castaway club number to access the members only site.

That's because the international snow line is the border between our 2 countries. We are forever covered in snow, we have polar bears as pets and snowshoe to work everyday. Uphill in 3 feet of drifting snow during a blizzard and that's both ways!
Alaska is just a wee bit to the north of us
No seriously I work with a guy that was born and raised in Ketchikan and it does look very lovely. Can't wait to go.

Kritter, I read your trip report about your problems at Cozumel. That taxi driver should be charged with kidnapping. Taking you somewhere you did not want to go. I can't believe it. This was just an attempt to get as much money out of the tourists as they could. I can see why you don't like Cozumel now. Was this one of Disney's excursions? When we go next year we all better be on our toes, or just stay onboard the ship. Thanks for sharing your experience Kritter.
