Oct. 15, 2006 (4 nights on the "New" Wonder)

looks like there will be quite a gang of us Jane - it is very exciting

We are all having computer issues at my work today. It is difficult to get anything done. :badpc:

LOVED the piccies Linda!!! :lovestruc I loved seeing you having a good time in London and I have always wanted to go to Harrods so it was very nice to see things from there. I read a book once about a girl who had a relative who worked at Harrods and she described shopping there.
I have seen marzipan before but they were not as pretty as the ones in your photo.

Jenn- The wife swap with the pirates sounds interesting. Did they live on a ship???

Still no docs. :sad1:

:dog: :cat: :dog:

Jane, that is too funny. I can't beleive how close we are. Such a small world. That's definitely a great list you put together.
Sue, no they didn't live on a ship, but they dressed and acted like pirates. The parents didn't work and the kids didn't go to school. It was quite amusing.

Hi all,

Jennifer we are going to MNSSHP on Thur 12th Oct, and then perhaps again after the cruise. It sounds great fun and a real blast for the kids. I will try and post a picture of the coach ( Cinderellas) which is out for photos. !!

The list is looking fab, cant wait to meet up ! 3pm by Mickey pool yes?

I will try and post a few more pictures of London,if im not boring you all.

Kelly, I LOVE when I wish upon a star, great choice............ though it might make me cry ! With joy of course, when I here it on the boat!

Would love to see more piccies Linda, keep them coming ....

Jenn - we have not had that edition of Wife Swap yet, we normally get the US version on our Channel 4 much later than you get them, however, one of the DJ's on our most popular radio station - radio one - Scott Mills had heard of the Pirate show and got a copy from somewhere, he thought it was so funny and yesterday on his show he kept playing clips of it, it sounded very funny and I cant wait to see - I love Wife Swap.

Linda - I am a right soppy, everytime the cruise horn plays When You Wish Upon A Star I tear up, it gets me every time, we have it on our computer, and I play it often just to wind Ian up

Hi, I have to share with you, although Ian does not post, he reads through our posts every night to see what we have been chatting about, he is much quieter than I am and will most likely take about an hour before he totally loosens up with you all (a bit like Wayne I think Linda), some of the comments he has made tonight have cracked me up :

Linda - he is very impressed with your goodie stash, he thinks you and Wayne are our sort of people, he thought that Wayne was the person in the white shirt until I explained to him. He also says that you look much better than I do when I'm the worse for wear and that you look very young, I told him that you are young, and he said yes but she looks younger still !!

Sue - he was very impressed by your pirate talk and looking forward to talking pirate with you

Jane - you are apparently very organised by getting our list together and he is suprised by how many of us there are, he is also very envious that you live in Florida

Jenn - he thinks that you are very kind person for offering to bring me a band, he was quite touched by that, also for some reason he is looking forward to having a drink with a fireman

Kelly - it is wonderful that you are walking down the aisle to When You Wish Upon A Star and he wishes that I had too

he cracks me up sometimes

I'm at the Great Wolf Lodge right now! It's quite nice...a bit like the Wilderness at Disney I think. I have pictures I'll post when I get home.

I want my cruise documents! Hopefully when I return tomorrow night they will be waiting for me. As well as a large box of Jelly Belly beans! hahah of course they schedule to deliver them when I'm away.

I didn't know they played When You Wish Apon a Star on the cruise! It makes me tear up as well...and after walking down the aisle to it I'll probably be worse every time I hear it! :goodvibes

Ok, must work now....

Kelly, I neglected to mention it earlier but I did want to tell you that I love your choice of a non traditional wedding march. Yes the horn on board the Wonder and Magic plays "Wish apon a star" every time they pull away from port. I can't wait to hear it but I imagine that it will be all that much more meaningfull to you. I have heard (on the DIS ofcoarse) that since cell phones still work in port many people call a loved one just before we make way to share the moment. :cloud9:
Also take time to enjoy your lovely surroundings. All work and no play makes Kelly ....wish she were on a cruise! :wizard:

Jules, thanks for the compliments. When I first joined this thread I created an excel speread sheet of who was coming and added to it whenever a newbie posted. The difficult part was figuring out how it would post here. The spaces disappear so the columns won't line up. :confused3

Jenn, Yes, I have been to Sebastian many times. I also told your husband back when he first joined that my 20 year old DS is an EMT in the Navy stationed in Guam. He works in the Navy hospital, at the base fire station, and sometimes he drives the ambulance.

Just to let you know, Alie still reads our posts everyday too. even though she hasn't been posting lately.

THIS POST IS ESPECIALLY FOR IAN !

Hello :wave2:

You and me are going to get on soooooooooooooooo well! As you ( bless you ) think I look young! and you love our stash of "goodies" :thumbsup2

Now get Jules, sorted on her drinking arm please!

Also, what about booking a 7 nighter next Oct :teeth: I keep saying this to Jules, but you know she still not booked :confused3 Y E T !!!!

Promise to share some stash if you do !!!!! ;)

Off to slap on some Oil of Ulay !!!! ( face cream to those uneducated people :lmao: )

As I said we went to the Hard Rock Casino, to get another Diser, on our NEXT Oct cruise so pins, she collects. The inside was amazing, but no camera where allowed in, or bags. They allowed hand bags, but everything else was "checked in" to the safe room!.
I was desperate to get a picture, I did ask but got told a stern "no way" but 2 female staff.
I so a "manager" looking older guy, so when he was walking past, I winked at Sam ( Boys were on the card table ) and said, " Hi and you the owner?" He laughed and said "No, assistant manager." I looked suitably impressed. And said " oh, what a shame you wont be able to help me then " ( Sad look, like my hamster had just died!).... sorry thats mean to hamsters, I love them , but you know what I mean! He said "Why", I thought right go for it.... "Well you cant authorise a photo can you?" He said Well not really, its the rules." So I replied, " I know, i guess only the top guy can give the authority, thanks anyway"... started to walk away............. "Hey, lady, I can tell you its fine, as long as you dont get any other clients in ( security and all )........... In fact let me take your photo!!!" RESULT! :thumbsup2

:cool1: NEWS FLASH for Jules :cheer2:

Hand lugguage restrictions lifted from tomorrow!!!!! YIPPEE :cool1:

No liquids still, but hand lugguage back to regular size!! :teeth:

:hourglass 24

Has everyone heard about the changes they are making to the adult pool area and to the mickey pool during drydock? :woohoo:

They are going to "upscale" the adult pool to make it more spa like. They are adding fountains and a teak wood deck or somthing like that. :thumbsup2
The mickey pool is getting a new toddler area under the slide and the current toddler area is going to become part of the main pool area to increase capacity. :sunny:

Still no docs :sad2:

Hi Jane

Sorry still no docs - where did you hear about the changes - it sounds great

Jane that looks fab - I can just imagine lying on my teak cushioned lounger with a cocktail, I will just need someone to fan me - any volunteers LOL

The cinema screen sounds good too

Wow MJ that sounds really nice.

Im just worried they wont get it all done, as we are the first cruise to go, after dry dock. Other cruisers after the last dry dock said their cruise was late boarding cos they were still cleaning! plus things werent finshed.

Loads of pixie dust to the workers, to get the changes done on time! pixiedust:
