Oct. 15, 2006 (4 nights on the "New" Wonder)

buffet

Jane that is a coincidence, you being above us, we have no verandah either, the first year we cruise we got a cat 9 with a porthole, when I approached Allseas Travel last year, John my Ta told us about the cat 10 with secret portholes, they are basically a room with a porthole but they cant class them as a nine as they have an obstructed view, a bit if lifeboat for example. we booked one last year and it was great, we had a porthole and just a bit of lifeboat obstructing the view, so John has booked the same for us this year, so we have no verandah, and not officially a porthole, but a porthole with an obstructed view. Do you have a cat 9, they are very nice ....

shrimp

Jules, I see now. I was looking at the deck plans and it looked like you had a verandah because the deck extends past your room. That must be where the life boats are. We are in a cat. 8 but as we are both right by the forward elevators, port side, we are very close. Kelly is mid ship, starboard on the deck between us. There is a thread on your room here:

Soon we will need to select a spot to have a dis meet for when we are on board. There have been a few threads posted on the subject. Maybe some of you who have been on board before could give some input too.

MJ-
tell your son I admire his service to our country :thanks: . I am a military brat, so I know of the sacarifice. He will be in my prayers. I have a cousin in the Navy somewhere overseas. He is a pilot and can't tell us exactly where he is, except "in the air".

Hi Everyone!
We are on deck 7. I got a room with a varandah because I am SO VERY claustrophobic!! Since it is my first cruise I didn't mind spending the extra $$. Maybe next time I can go cheaper and longer.
I haven't booked anything yet, but I guess I better soon if I want to go to Palo. I don't know if I want to go, but a friend told me I have GOT to get the chocolate souffle. I wish it was on room service menu...

Are any of you first time cruisers too?
My daughter is 12 and I think she feels stuck between kids age and teenagers. I am glad she can't do the teen club yet.

What are ya'll planning to do on the ship. (no comment necessary from the newlyweds :rolleyes1 . lol)

Its great that more people are joining us, and we were so easy to find PAGE ONE !

Last week she had her snow white dress on, with wellies and sun glasses, not tooooo bad I hear you say, until I explain we were in the town centre, walking in and oout of shops for about 3 hours. She had some funny looks and comments, but she didnt care, she was happy ! :sunny:

Last one, I promise............... Elouise on a trampoline where the harness can help you get real high! She is such a dare devil she was going higher than the 6 and 7 yr old boys!! Cos she was screaming with delight so much, she had an extra long go, as she was attracting others to the trampoline. Then to her delight a small boy of about 6 yrs, got on, he did one bounce and started to cry, so the man asked if she could go back on for free, on the next trampoline, to show him what to do. Of course she LOVED this. so did we as it was free :teeth:
