Oct. 15, 2006 (4 nights on the "New" Wonder)

Jules

Wayne is VERY Very touched with the slipper idea, :thumbsup2 cos his Granddad was Welsh, and my Nan was welsh too!!! in fact cos he is a Man United fan and loves Mark Hughes and Ryan Giggs, he would even support Wales, over England if he could, cos he hated Eriksen, so much!

no problem Linda, they are very sweet, we wanted to get them last week but of course needed to check the size with you, I'm going to go shopping in about half hours time so will pick them up then

Welcome back Linda! :grouphug:

It looks like Elouise had a fantastic time! Thanks for the photos.

and hi to all the new posters if I've missed saying hi to anyone :wave2:

Belinda, this will be our second cruise, but our first Disney cruise!
On the ship we plan on relaxing on the verandah, a visit to the spa and eating lots of yummy food.

Welcome home Linda  We did miss you so  It sounds like you had a wonderful time.
The pictures of Elouise are great. Wow she is brave. Alie was always a bit of a daredevil too. Is the handsome man she is riding by the elephants Wayne. Nice to see him too. Isn't it grand about Ian paying? Now we can drink and party all night :dancer: :rockband: :drinking1

Valerie-nice to have you pop back in. I do remember the Mousketeers but when I saw them it was in reruns, the way my kids know Fonzie from watching Nick at Night. My Fav was Donald :donald: (Duck that is). I like the way he was always trying to sneak in on the Mickey song.

Belinda, Thanks, I am very proud of my boy too. And he is second generation Navy third generation military. I was an Air Force brat and joined the Navy when I was 20 :dance3: I know what you mean about the soufle. Reading the boards makes you want to try it so bad. We booked a Palo brunch though and I don't think you can get it for brunch.

Kelly, how goes the cake hunt? :goodvibes

Hi Everyone, hope you are all having a nice relaxign weekend, how is the cake hunt going Kelly, like Jane I am interested, did you have your bridal shower ??

I got the slippers Linda, they went in ages 4 to 6 or 7 to ten, I measured the age 4-6 against a size ten shoe, and they look fine would you prefer me to swap for the bigger size to be on the safe side ??

Jules, thanks you are sooo sweet. I guess its better to be on the safe side, and get the larger size, she can always grow into them :sunny: I will be looking on e bay in a mo, for the bandana, thanks for the tip :thumbsup2
By the way Jules, what happened about the job? any updates???

Kelly, have you had your bridal shower yet? Please tell us what you do? Hows the cake hunt going. I hope you find a baker that can put your ideas into practice for you. I know how hard you and Jake have planned all the details to your wedding, so a perfect day is what you deserve.

Hello to Mdavison, :welcome: Hi there Mike, Jennifer, Nicole and Kylie. Elouise is thrilled to have some playmates! Yes, she will be going into the club, at times during the cruise. Shes very outgoing and social, she goes to pre school so is use to leaving mum and Dad for a while. We arent sure how often she will go in or how long for. we will let her choose, to a certain extent. I do think we might let her go in there while we eat in the evening, as I dont think she is going to enjoy a long meal. However on pirate night she has already said she wants to lead our table to "battle" (ie the pirate party!) we are dressing up and taking glow sticks etc. Will you daughters like to attend the Wendy Darling Tea party? elouise is excited about this.

Tink Nanny, whats your real name? Hope you get a group photo done so we can "see" you all, before Oct.

ValerieS1NY.... Wow a holiday romance for the kids, now that would be fun. Elouise can be a right bossy boots, at the campsite there was a disco for kidss one night. She asked a little boy to dance, he cried!! so she asked another, who did dance with her, when the first boy had stopped crying, and with encouragment from his parents, he asked her to dance, she said, " no I have a boyfriend now"....... and skipped off with the other boy................. honestly it was soooooo funny. All the parents were laughing soooo much! Whats Matthew looking forward to the most??

This cruise will be soooo much fun, with all of us on board!
party: :disrocks: :rockband: :rainbow:

no worries Linda, I need to go to Asda tomorrow, so I will take them back and swap them for the larger size, better to be safe than sorry.

Well with all the saga about the job, I got a pay rise last week, and have found that I get a bonus two weeks before the cruise, so I am staying put for the moment, and then start looking again after the holiday, as you know I was not convinced on either of the jobs, and I want to make sure that the next move is the right one, I cant stand chopping and changing, so I am going to bide my time for a while, at least now I know that the jobs are out there and I am capable of getting them, so we shall wait and see. I felt as you know that the coach holiday company had messed me around and I wasn't fully convinced on the cheese factory even though the extra money was a nice thought but it was a bit like better the devil you know, if you know what I mean, I just hope I have made the right decisions, it feels right to Ian and I at them moment ...

just popped to Asda and swapped them, I feel much better now, I think may be a bit too big, but better too big than small, I would hate to give them to her and then she bit disappointed that she cant get them on !! They are so sweet ...

She is so funny - boyfriends !! they are funny when they are that age, my MIL once took my niece to Tesco she was about Ellies age, they have a huge mirror behind the checkouts at our Tesco. my MIL is bending over her trolley to get her handbag and Jess (my niece) pipes up, nanny look at your big fat bottom in that mirror (my MIL is quite a large lady), you could have heard a pin drop as everyone at the checkouts turns to check out her bottom .... we still laugh about that now - Jess is now eight and a real little madam, she has asked Ian to build he a dools house for christmas already !!

Lindy Loo, nice to meet you and Eloise. What is the Tea Party? I'm not familiar with this, I'm sure my girls would love it, can you give me some info! Thanks

Jules ... wow you dont hang around do you !!! Thanks.... to be honest it will be better if they are a little big, as she normally doesnt wear slippers till about Nov/Dec anyway. And if they are so big, well no probs we can keep them till the following year, either that or Wayne will try an get his feet into them ( think Cinderella, and the glass slipper) :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Its really very kind of you to get Elouise a treat. I just hope she behaves. Its a lot of pressure :wizard: on me, to keep her from "meltdown" :)

Mike, its on Wed at 9am, I dont know much more about it, its on for 45 mins, roughly, and I think you need to get tickets at Guest services. Elouise loves Wendy Darling. I think its a little story and a couple of kids get to sit at the table and drink "tea" with her. Elouise is sitting with me, and she wants to send a icon to Kylie and Nicole, so here goes...... :dumbo: pluto: :tinker:

Mike, any chance you have a photo of your DDs? as Elouise would love to see what the girls look like! Thanks...... Shes helping me type and wants to send another picture to everyone :sunny:  :Pinkbounc sorry shes got carried away

Hi everyone....Hope everyone is trying to stay cool, the weather here has been just brutual...I am sure this was covered in another post but we were just wondering how dressed up people are getting for semi formal night...I bought my five year old a cute suit but my husband is in protest...He doesnt want to put on a suit and be too over dressed (I tend to do that to them from time to time)...Just wanted to hear everyone elses ideas...

Lindy Loo

Here is a picture of the girls, couldn't make it any smaller. Still trying to learn how to post pics, but guess it will do. The tea party is a great idea, I will have to tell the girls about it-sure they will love it. Talk to everyone again soon.

Jen
For dress up night I am wearing a simple black dress I think and Jacob will wear just a dress shirt and khakis or black pants and (probably) a tie.

The weather here is finally started to cool down. We got some really insane lightening last night though. I've never heard thunder so loud in all my life. They were long loud booms every time, almost like fireworks not rolling thunder. It was sort of weird actually.

My shower was yesterday, I have a ton of pictures I need to go through and I'll post them later and tell all about it! It was really fun and we got a ton of great gifts!

--Kelly

Mike wheres the picture? we cant see anything to click on to to look :confused3
Elouise is very excited about "seeing" your girls on the pc!

Jen we are quite casual on semi formal night, elouise will have a cotton sundress, I will wear a red and white polka dot knee lenght dress and Wayne will be in trousers and shirt but no tie or tux. He really hates all the fuss, and its his vacation, so its up to him. :sunny: Its a bit of a hassle to pack too much formal stuff for a 3 week hol, only to wear it one night! Even after dinner I bet he will nip back and change into shorts, if its warm.

Kelly cant wait to see your pics, glad you had a great night! :Pinkbounc
Mike, if you cant get the knack of posting photos, Kellys the girl to ask, shes a whizz! You can tell im still learning, as I just LOVE boring you all with our photos :rotfl2: im so pleased with myself when I do it without any help from Wayne

Off to a BBQ now with our next dooe neighbours but one, been working all day, so they are cooking... yippee!

Sparkelly

Not at all, I was just trying to figure out how to make it bigger. I think I have got the idea now. Hopefully tommorow when I am off duty at the Fire Station I can get it fixed. Talk to everyone soon.

Here's a link to pictures from my shower!

We love everything we got but some of our favorite gifts were the Kitchenaid items, the Galway crystal bell for our wedding ceremony, and my necklace that I'll wear for the wedding. It all felt like it was over in an instant which really gave me a taste of how fast the wedding day will fly by! I need to take it all in the best I can.

Mike your little ones are so seet, thanks for sharing with us.

Kelly it loos like you had a wonderful time, the photos are wonderful, the decorations are great. It looks like you got lots of lovely gifts and your necklace is beautiful.
Is it tradition for the guests to leave recipes and ingredients that it is a really good idea, that doesn't happen in the UK.

I am really pleased that you had a lovely time, you are right the time flies by. you need to cherish every minute of it xx

Kelly, Love the pics. Especially of you and Jake in the bride and groom ears. The confetti was cool too. How do you get photo confetti? I noticed that there was another picture on the wall above you of the two of you in front of Cinderellas Castle. :thumbsup2 Glad you had a great time.

Mike your girls are cuties. They sure look like sisters. You work at a firestation? what do you do? My son is a registered EMT in the Navy. He is stationed in Guam and works part time at the Naval Hospital and part time at the fire station. He drives the ambulance too.

Jen, I agree with everyone else here, No need to get too dressed up. I will likely wear a dress but not a dressy dress.
