I think this group should be cut into two or three groups. 10-15 is a manageable number.

If possible, could the three imatex be put into different groups?

I agree -- I think ten cabins is a good number. It helps with packing (especially if flying). I'm still GTY. Can't PM yet (need 10 posts).
 
I am more than happy to split the lists. However since I did not start this my information is incomplete on some of the rooms. On List one I have 5 cabins with no information on them. They are all in one group. I would like to get everyone the information as quickly as possible but I would like to include everyone in the order they signed up but in order to speed this along I either need to get all information in by Thursday or split the groups by cabins that have complete information.

Is everyone agreeable to this?

Secondly We need to keep the sizes manageable I know there are some who only want to be in a group of 10 I would like to take this into consideration and will split into three groups One of 10, one of 15 and one for the remaining cabins. Hi beaglefan. My family did successfully do the Comfort Inn / Atlantis plan.
Here are some key pointers
1) Make sure when you calculate the total cost, you include the taxes and the per person charge. If you look at the bottom of the Choice Hotel page where you "Book Room", it says... * These rates do not include taxes of 20.00% or other charges of 20.95 PER PERSON PER DAY*
It is still a good deal but can get confusing

2) Do not take a boat taxi over to Atlantis. It is a LONG walk from the dock to the Comfort Suites AND it only runs at certain times making it hard to catch boat on your return. I would look up what they charge for the boat taxi, then negotiate that same rate with taxi drive who will take you straight to Comfort Suites.

3) When you get to Comfort Suites it is absolutely simple. You simply go to desk and say you are checking in and out right now. Get you receipt, your wristbands, and then it's a fairly short walk over to Atlantis

When booking this Comfort Suite, there are certainrates that are not quoted into your reservation. IN fact, you will have to pay cash for them when you arrive, so even though you paid in advance, you still owe more. Here is how it works

$223.20 -- 1 BR King bed w/sleeper for 4 people
$86.54 -- estimated taxes
$83.80 -- $20.95 X 4 people for energy and houesekeeping
$80.00 -- 3rd & 4th person in room charge (you may not have to pay this since I believe "kids stay free")
$473.54 -- Grand Total for 2 adults & 2 kids

... The website says this Energy surcharge: 15.95 per person per night. Housekeeping gratuities: 5.00 per person per night These are additional charges not included in nightly estimated total and must be paid directly at the hotel. Persons 16 and older are charged as adults. 3rd/4th person charged 40.00 per night + tax and service charges.

so you also need to add on $20.95 per person and then another $40 per person for the 3rd & 4th person on your reservation


I am not sure what the rate is on Aquaventure now, but my understanding is they have gotten cheaper, so not sure how much you would save by doing Comfort Suites anymore... used to be a good deal, not so sure anymore

We are going to be driving to the port from New Mexico and spending the night. Do you have any recommendations on what hotel to stay at night before that would offer Park & Sail for our car?

Thanks for posting. I didn't realize all the surcharges. We'll have to talk to out TA to see going through Disney is a better deal instead of the Comfort Suite.

pumpkinkate is coordinating the FB group. It is private and so you will not be able to find it. You will need to be invited to the FB group. A couple of options.

You can send a PM to Pumpkinkate with your facebook name and she will invite you to the group. But I see you only have 1 post and you need at least 10 posts to create a PM.

Or you can post your FB id here and have someone invite you to the FB group.

We were planning to take a dry erase board to put on our door. I'm happy to post any room changes there if that's what you meant. :)

If someone from the 15 wants to be in the group of 10 just swap me out. =) Thank you for handling this part of the cruise. It honestly gives all of us just an extra touch of Disney Magic!! Thank you for putting this together! A few weeks ago I started trying to compile all of the potential FEers and it was challenging. So, thank you for giving us the opportunity to add this fun experience to what we are hoping to be a very memorable cruise vacation!:banana:

We would appreciate being in a smaller group (10 to 15). We started getting things together months ago, but don't have enough of some things to cover ~30 cabins. Also packing it all would be a problem.
