Has anyone stayed in Daytona at the Ocean Walk resort?? We are going in May for 7 nights......2 days at WDW!

Stayed there a couple years ago. Nice place, couple pools, slides, lazy river. You are right at the bandshell where the "concrete walk begins". Next door is a mini mall with Bubba Gumps, it was good, ice cream, coffee shop, movie theater. Kids activities, be sure to check the boards and plan which you want to do. Kinda a food court, we like it for ice cream. Bar with live music. Second building was under construction while we were there, so the water spray area, other pool, tiki bar etc were not done yet, but you can see it behind the green fencing...

WOW! thanks for the pics! did you drive to disney world... how far is it?

We did not go that trip. But my DSis and family (who had condo next door) did leave from there to Disney and I think she said it was 1 hour 20-30 minutes.

WOW...that place looks really great! Do you have a link to their website?

Used to live out that way, figure between an hour and an hour and 15 minutes, as long as there is no traffic.

We stay at daytona beach shores almost every year. We used to stay at Pier Side Inn until it sold out to a big condo. We love the small lodging so we stayed at Ocean Palm Inn last year and loved it, clean decent price and right on the beach..

What are your priorities for EPCOT - world showcase or future, because the hours vary on those. World opens late and future closes early. Do you want to do Fantasmic or do Illuminations*** ? Plan around those so you spend as little time as possible on travel. Don't forget the boat between MGM and EPCOT. But if you are coming to park via car....park at MGM. If you park at EPCOT and end at MGM, you won't be able to take the boat and then go back through EPCOT to your car.

***If you can go real commando, watch Illuminations (9pm) close to back entrance in World Showcase, at finale haul to the boat to MGM. Hustle to Fantasmic theater and watch it at 10:30. May sit in back, but no seat is a bad seat for that.

AK closes early, so I would probaby be there as it opens, do what I want to do at AK and then head to MK. We have done that a number of times. If you have never been to AK then I would say go straight to Everest, get a fast pass or get on, go over to Safari and ride it or get FP....both of those early, do Bugs Life Show, Lion King Show, new Nemo Show and Dinosaur ride....then we would probably go on to MK.

If you are staying onsite, looks like you have extra evening hours for MGM 23rd and MK 25th.

Have fun !
