I need advice. Should I push the issue or leave it alone?
I made ressies at the Poly and requested the Samoa building, pool view then paid for our stay in full. Under the advice of the Tiki Man I just called and tried to give a second choice of the Raratonga with a pool view because the Samoa was a small building. The CM I spoke to said what I Paid for was a garden view and there would be an upgrade to a pool view. I explained to the CM that I felt this was there problem because when I made my reservation I explained what I wanted, they gave me a price and I paid for it in full. She then put on the phone with her manager that told me she didnt appreciate me trying to run circles around them. I asked Her to read my request and sure enough it said ground floor, Samoa building, pool view. I then explained to her that I was no deadbeat. Last year my family spent 17 days at the Poly in Concierge and I had no intension of pulling the wool over any ones eyes and if they had an upgrade I would be happy to pay the difference. No upgrades were available. The Bottom Line Is this. I am a contractor when I quote a price to a client I stick by it, even if I loose money. She even read that the Samoa pool view was my request from the get go.
Your thoughts and comments are appreciated.
Have any of you encountered this and if so what did you do? If anyone of you has a number or someone I could call higher on the reservation line I would love to have it.
Sincerely
