Amazing! Obama's "proof" consists of cut and paste words of op-eds from some of the Democrats most reliable liberal sycophants, like Joe Klein and E.J. Dionne.

They've never seen a Republican Presidential campaign that they didn't think was dishonorable. In their editorials, Republican negative ads are ALWAYS sleazy and vile while Democrat negative ads are ALWAYS hard-hitting and truth-telling.

No one is holding him responsible. But to have him go ahead and have the right steps be taken and not just support it would say a lot more. How do you not know that 4 years prior an aunt was told to leave the country? In my book, he has a responsibility to make sure the right thing is done now that he's aware of it.

And just what would the right thing be? Insist that she be deported? Why? There are thousands of other illegals in this country that our government is doing nothing about. Why should Obama's aunt be forced to leave and others allowed to stay?

Of course he has. :shrug: I think perhaps people are confused about something: Money doesn't buy votes: It gets the message out so people can make their decisions based on seeing the candidate actually tell them what their plan is, rather than having some distorted view of it projected onto them by the candidate's opponent. And Obama is presenting a far greater percentage of positive ads than McCain... McCain's ads seem almost completely negative.

Disagreement doesn't involve changing the law to impose your own beliefs and values on others; that's intolerance -- the inability to live in accordance with your own beliefs and let others live in accordance with their beliefs.

How would you know if 4 years ago someone told your father's half-sister to leave the country? Do you personally know if they spoke regularly? Heck, I didn't even know for several months that my aunt had passed away. Even then I found out by accident through a newsletter in an organization that we both belonged to. My cousin hasn't spoken to me in over 20 years.

How would you know if 4 years ago someone told your father's half-sister to leave the country? Do you personally know if they spoke regularly? Heck, I didn't even know for several months that my aunt had passed away.

Well, just make sure if you ever decide to run for public office that you search the world for any possible relatives, hunt them down and force them to live a law-abiding life, after all, if you don't it's your fault.

BO has had a very negative campaign filled with personal attacks. Does anyone remember when he made fun of the fact that JM is unable to use a keyboard due to his war injuries? That was VERY personal, yet the MSM glossed over it as if he did no wrong. They seem to be able to dish it out quite easily, but they cannot take it back.

You can't tell me that you don't have 'family' who you don't talk to or see very often. I have a cousin who lives in TN. I haven't seen her for years! She's my first cousin we're blood relatives, but I have no idea what she is doing now. I am not responsible for her actions and I think that it is crazy to think that Obama should be responsible for his 'half-aunt' who he met once when he was only 10.

I don't care if he's running for president or whatever. Nobody deserves to be ridiculed for something that he or she didn't know. Personally I think it's a desperate attempt by the McCain campaign to make him look bad. It's really sad.

I am a Republican but I am voting for Obama. I have listened to both sides and even though there are things about Obama I don't like, there are MORE things about McCain that I don't like, so my vote goes to Obama.

This campaign has been really dirty, and I have tried to stay out of the political threads, but something about this really thread got to me.
