This is what people don't realize when they are for lenient immigration laws and not sending illegals home. There are so many programs out there that ignore legal status.

I know in my state, you can get WIC, you can get health care for children, you can get healthcare for pregnant women, you can get $10 a year medical coverage, and these organizations have signs that they are "confidential" and don't report your legal status. Those are just the ones I know about. So I'm sure there are others as well.

So when people bring up immigration and ask, "What are they hurting? They only want a better life," now you have an answer. They're hurting the taxpayers.

This woman applied for asylum. She is probably in danger if she returns.
I had a girlfriend apply years ago. She was Iranian and she knew she would be killed if she returned. She was here in med school. She was denied asylum but not deported. She had to live here with no status. No one bothered her, that is common. Her husband, in Iran, threatened to kill their daughter. She went back. I never heard from her again.

Our church sponsored a family from Nicaragua in the same no status situation due to the denial by our government for asylum. The children are still here, married with children of their own and got citizenship. The parents finally returned and because of the changed situation in Nicaragua, they are safe.

I hope Obama's 'half aunt on his father's side' is ok. If she's in danger, this press can not be good for her. She's a human being looking for safety, has no ties with Barack Obama and should not suffer because he is running for POTUS.

Can we PUHLEEZE stop perpetuating the Ugly American reputation and begin working with the Christian principles on which our country was founded? I'm sick of the greed, the pettiness, the paranoia, the hate. It makes me feel ashamed. WE ARE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, STRONGEST, BEST, SMARTEST. We can take care of our own and others that need us. It is the moral and American way.

My DS sees his dad 1-2 times a month and I sure hope he is never held responsible for his dad of his family's actions! There are some real losers in his dad's family, but as long as DS does the right things in his life, I don't want him to be criticized for other people's issues.

And what "rights" to privacy does a woman who was ordered out of the country actually have? Immigration status concerns everyone. She is stealing housing that should be reserved for a citizen.

Apparently the judge disagreed. His brother is living in Kenya, a large portion of his family is living in Kenya. She can return and live with them. Not here at taxpayer's expense. Of course, Barry could chose to sponsor her, or buy her a hut in Kenya. She was worthy of mention in his book, so surely she deserves that portion of the royalties.

That is too bad. It looks like the aunt felt her life was in danger if she returned to Kenya. She tried to get asylum but was turned down. So she tried to live a quite life that would not bring attention to her and the UK press has to seek this poor woman out. No wonder she did not want to talk to them.

If she didn't "feel" her life was in danger returning to Kenya, then she would have no basis for the application at all. That doesn't mean her feeling is based in reality. The rest of her family is doing just fine in Kenya. Barry meets them all "once" and writes details about them so he can make millions. He could make them all quite comfortable in Kenya giving them the portion of the royalties that their mention "earned". What is a shame is that a UK paper had to do what the MSM should have been doing; looking at Obama and all of the little skeletons in his closet. Sounds like the AP was shamed into digging up something after months of adoration.
With regard to the front door of the slum. Its the front door. Because it isnt' falling off, doesn't mean its "nice".

-Obama kicked some news journalist off his plane.

God forbid anyone actually discuss what McCain will do about the economy or the unemployment rate (in case any one is interested we have lost over 600,000 good paying jobs this year.) or the tanking of the stock market (I guess no one cares that we bailed out wall street but Thursday the fine folks on wall street got year end bonuses averaging 625,000 bucks)

It's quite a different story when the press "digs into a story" than when the government abuses it's powers to do so.

As long as no laws were broken to develop this story, there' not much we can do about it. That's a downside of "freedom of the press". We have to live with it.
