The OUTRAGE that someone had leaked information on poor Joe (who I honestly feel bad for) was over the top. OVER the top.

Now...someone has leaked information on an aunt that BO does not have a relationship with...and did not know was illegal.

And he's supposed to be responsible for this in what way???

Well, I'll tell ya...I have some pretty baaaaad family members. Illegal immingration doesn't come close to some of the things they have done. *sigh* I guess I'm guilty by association too...just like Barack always is.

I believe that in the full article you quoted Obama said he expect the rules and laws to be followed. Doesn't sound like he is asking for special treatment.

With Joe, on the other hand, we DO know that his information was looked at by government officials with no credible reason to do so, which is abuse of power. But no outrage for that.

Someone leaked the information...someone was digging into her past...where is the outrage?

My personal beef with the investigation on Joe thread was not that someone had not abused government power...but that people were blaming it on Barack Obama.

I, as all of us, can't credibly claim to know what's going through Obama's mind, but I wouldn't be concerned. Yes, she should be deported if she is here illegally. So should 30 or 40 million other illegals. We don't deport them very often, though. Why should we hold Obama's aunt to a higher standard, and deport her just because she's related to him, when we don't deport other illegals?

As I recall, the Joe the Plumber info was ILLEGALLY obtained by a govt. employee.

The info released about Barack Obama's aunt is a court record, those are generally public record.

I am SO SICK of hearing that "Barack didn't know" about his associates and family members. It is a convenient excuse.

These records were retrieved (by whom, it's not known) showing a family member of one of the current nominees for president is in this country illegally, is defrauding her employer by working as a legal resident, is defrauding the govt. of tax dollars to pay for her housing, has made illegal campaign contributions to the campaign. In an article posted, she says she frequently travels between the US and Kenya. How the heck is someone so destitute they live in public housing able to afford to do that?

Someone asked for the "proof" she was at his swearing in - here is an article from MSNBC - that "official" enough? Sounds like she is more than a "long lost relative".

I agree you had had no beef with the abuse of power against Joe. The question is why? Do you only believe in protection from absue of government power for Democrats, or people who vote the way you do?

The British media was looking into her past. That's what the media does. Usually they are suppose to do that on a bipartisan basis, but our own national media only digs into Sarah Palin and John McCain's family. So the foreign media has taken up where they've abdicated their responsibility.
