Obama Supporters, A question?

You know ... I also get all confused about the "Huckabee". I keep on thinking this guy is running:

mcd1_pixote.jpg

He's got my vote....:thumbsup2

I understand what he means but if that was the quote, then it came out wrong. I think he means he has a lot of moderate support which might vote for mccain if hillary gets the nod

No he meant all his votes not just the Rep or Mod...he said "His voters will not vote for Hillary"

Again he hesitated saying it....I am not disagreeing by the way. I am sure a lot will not vote for her. But not because they so much don't like her but because they will be so disappointed and feel she stole the race and than they will decide they don't like her at all.

If this happens and there is a chance I am sure that Obama will rally his troops around her. He also does not want another Rep in the house and his issues are so close to her's that it would be a no brainier.

I think she will be more disappointed than him if she does not get in ..he can run again he is so young...she is not.

I "hope" either way that they do not do battle so the party splits....I want them to do battle in the Texas Debate however...but for them to play Smart not stupid. :thumbsup2

Either way in a few months we will all be coming together with one candidate and that will be nice. Than we can sock it to the Rep:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I think those who say they will not vote if their candidate doesn't get nominated should not be able to complain about the new president for the next 4 years. That goes for anyone. You hear the conservatives saying they would never vote for McCain under any circumstance. Well if they are not going to vote then they should not spout their opinions after the election.

While I think party unity is important, I think you need to vote your concience. I am supporting Barack Obama and I really hope he gets the Democratic nomination. That being said, I am no longer a Democrat and will not vote to get a Democrat in office. I will vote for the best candidate. The Clintons have too much baggage and too much negativity in that baggage. I watch Hillary in her speeches and in the debates and I see a woman who is shrill and not trustworthy. She expects to be president as if it was a right of passage for her.

That being said, if for some reason Barack Obama doesn't get the nomination, you can bet it will be because of something that the Clinton machine drummed-up. And should it be Hillary vs. McCain, my vote will happily go to John McCain. He is more trustworthy than her and that will be my reason for voting that way.

Hillary accepted an invitation from Marquette University in Milwaukee, but Obama did not.

Yes he has turned them all down...except for this one unless he has changed not wanting to do it :confused3

Save the Date: On Thursday, February 21 at 7 p.m. CST, Hillary and Sen. Obama will debate in Austin, Texas. Univision, CNN and the Texas Democratic Party will co-host the debate. Sen. Obama refused to debate Hillary in Wisconsin, Washington, D.C., and Maine.

There is a debate in Texas on the Feb. 21st. It will be on CNN.

Unfortunately, Obama packed his schedule with appearances and isn't available for all the debates HRC wants.

He is also "on a roll" and doesn't need to debate to increase his base while I think Hillary does.

Nothing surprising about this. He's debated her, oh, 18 times, already. It's ok for him to also want to have time to campaign.

I know they both agreed to debates on Feb 21 and 26th, but Hillary has threatened to skip the 26th due to her continued unhappiness about a uncalled for for brief remark about Chelsea. I thought MSNBC dealt with the problem swiftly, but it may not have been enough.

Has Hillary made up her mind yet whether she's up to the debate on Feb 26th?

I wish we'd get back to the issues. Anyone who really cares about this election has seen at least a few (or a dozen) of the 18 debates.

Here's a link to the "new" campaign message...it does omit that Obama has debated Hillary 18 times.

Quote from the article:

"SCRIPT: Male announcer: "Both Democratic candidates were invited to a televised Wisconsin debate. Hillary Clinton has said yes. Barack Obama hasn't. Maybe he'd prefer to give speeches than have to answer questions. Like why Hillary Clinton has the only health care plan that covers every American, and the only economic plan that freezes foreclosures. Wisconsin deserves to hear both candidates debate the issues that matter. And that's not debatable."

Clinton: "I'm Hillary Clinton and I approved this message."

KEY IMAGES: Photos of a smiling Clinton and Obama behind a microphone placed side-by-side. Photo of a newspaper article with the headline "Sen. Clinton accepts debate at Marquette, no word on Obama." Photo of Obama behind a microphone again, this time next to the words "Maybe he'd prefer to give speeches than have to answer questions." Photo of a smiling Clinton again, next to the words "Only health care plan that covers every American" and "Only economic plan that freezes foreclosures." Shot of Clinton smiling at a rally. The largely female audience includes a number of black women.

ANALYSIS: Clinton is trying to capitalize on Obama's unwillingness to agree to Marquette University's invitation to debate on campus.

It does not mention that the two candidates have already debated 18 times. Clinton challenged Obama last week to five one-on-one debates. Obama agreed to two before March 4, in Cleveland and Austin, Texas.

I think one camp planned for this race to go on after Super Tuesday and one didn't. There is no comparison between how these two campaigns have been managed. Obama has already won that race, hands down.
