Yes, but you forget she actually agreed to outright knowingly, telling a lie, if Obama did this he'd be strung out to dry, but from her? No play at all... just "how defensive Obama was to questions that were meant to debase him :rolleyes1

SENATOR CLINTON: Well, Tom, I can tell you that I may be a lot of things, but I'm not dumb. And I wrote about going to Bosnia in my book in 2004. I laid it all out there. And you're right. On a couple of occasions in the last weeks I just said some things that weren't in keeping with what I knew to be the case and what I had written about in my book. And, you know, I'm embarrassed by it. I have apologized for it. I've said it was a mistake. And it is, I hope, something that you can look over, because clearly I am proud that I went to Bosnia. It was a war zone. "

The press hasn't picked up on it, but the people in the audience last night certainly got it, according to the feedback graph, and I'm sure the supers noticed it as well.

No I agree, I like Obama wayyyyyy better than Hillary. I've never liked the Clintons, they lie when the truth would do just as good. For whatever flaws Obama may or may not have, at least he seems honest. I do like him as a person. Not sure about alot of his policies though.

Ok, two things:

1) The new Zogby poll is out....Clinton 45%, Obama 44% !!!!!!!!!!!

2) You must, MUST immediately drop what you are doing, go over to youtube, do a search for a video called "Bosnia and Back Again" by jedreport! Seriously...do it right now. I promise, you won't regret it. :teeth:

Thanks for the update. Re item 1--oh I can't wait to see how the Clinton campaign will spend this. I know, I know. they don't pay attention to polls and polls don't matter. Re item 2--I'm on a break at a rather dull meeting. Hopefully the video will add a chuckle to my afternoon.

I missed the debate last night, but I'm glad I did - I talked to a friend of mine who is a Hillary supporter and one who is an Obama supporter and they both said it was a Hillary lovefest on ABC, to the glee of my friend who is a Hillary supporter.

But wow, that is a great line!

Yes, it was a Hillary love fest, for what its worth, which is not much. I thought she looked smug. And I like Hillary, but I am losing more and more respect for her. It seems like her whole MO is to say "Obama's a bad as I am."

I thought her remark about her "baggage" is very telling. She is quite right in that we all know everything about her and no more people are going to not vote for based on that baggage. But we also know that the majority of Americans do no like her, think she is dishonest, and will not vote her if she is matched up against McCain because of that baggage and nothing she can say will change the fact that people just don't like her. Every time she has tried to bring Obama down, she has taken a dive in ratings as well. Nothing her campaign has said about Obama has shifted her numbers.

The only thing that has worked for her so far was crying. So her coming off as the "winner" last night will not help her, she does slightly better when she comes off as being picked on, not as the aggressor.

It's amazing that about 5 months ago I was undecided between the two. I know Fits and I had talked about this on other threads where before she became Senator of NY we didn't really care for her but she has done some great things for NY as Senator. However, this campaign has totally made me lose all respect I had for her.

I agree about her approach to the campaign - she knows at least half the country doesn't trust her and she can't earn that back so her answer is to try to paint Obama as elitist, dishonest, and out of touch with America. Her only hope is to try to drive up his negatives so she can be on an even playing field.

I hope that was the last debate. Clearly, the issues don't matter and the media is more concerned with Wright, the flag pin, and bitter-gate.

zulaya - thanks!

Bosnia where? When?

Yep, that's the video I was talking about. Too chicken to link to it 'cause the language on YouTube's "comments" section sometimes gets a little rough. :teeth:

Ok, this one I absolutely can't link to. :teeth: But, if you go to thinkprogress.org, click on "attackerman" at the very top of the page, then scroll down to the video titled "You Gotta Get (Get) that Dirt (Dirt) Off Your Shoulder", I think you will all appreciate it. :worship:

WOW!! I love it.

Everytime 'they' try to put him down, he gets back on his feet even stronger. I love him, that was just amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Why can you link it?

I'm not up to speed on my Brooklyn hip-hop references. :teeth: When I lived in New York, I lived in Manhatan. Can one of my fellow Obama supporters who is up to speed, please explain it to this suburbanite.
