I made my own magnetic bumper stickers. I bought blank vehicle magnets from CarryABigStickerdotcom, put bumper stickers on them, then trimmed them to fit.

I bought, but haven't made yet, window clings that you can print with your computer.

BTW, I'm getting ready to go out and slather vaseline all over the edges of our new sign, then sprinkle Hot Salt on the vaseline. Anyone tries to take THIS sign, at least they'll pay for it!

Ah, but the article said he got booted as "her chief strategist". :teeth:

The point of it all, though, is that all Hillary had to do was not screw up and she had the Democratic nomination in the bag. My god, she was a 30 point favorite pretty much across the board just a few short months ago. When Barack ran strong in Iowa, she started slowly falling apart, and it's only gotten worse as the season has gone on, to the point that she's practically entering Mike Huckabee territory now.

I mean...hasn't anyone noticed that the more people are exposed to both her and Barack, the more likely they are to vote for him? It's happened in just about every state so far: Hillary starts off with a huge lead in the polls, then both candidates land and start campaigning...and the lead starts evaporating into thin air.

Her only hope of gaining the nomination is to show Barack as being less electable than her...and she can't even win the Democratic nomination without help from party insiders against a freshman senator with the name Barack Hussein Obama. :lmao: Talk about trying to sell the unsalable.

I was watching the early morning show with Joe Scarborough on MSNBC this morning. He more than overcompensates for the purported anti-HRC bias in the media with his major brown nosing of HRC. Anyway, on the show she was asked what is the situation with Penn and she gave the lamest non-answer--that her campaign reviewed the problem and had managed the problem to their satisfaction or some such rot. What a crock of what the bull left in the barnyard. I don't think this woman would recognize the truth or a factual statement if it stared her in the face and said 'boo.'

Just got back from the Condado tourist district in San Juan. We were putting Obama signs on lampposts. Due to the mixed residential/tourist area there, we decided to start to A- get the message to the locals who live there (many of whom are the affluent and influential of PR) and B- get some mainland US tourists as well.

Now I'm gonna start shooting off emails to the neighboring towns and to the other population centers of PR to try and put signs up as well.

We've also made graffiti stencils since quite a few business will allow graffiti artists to tastefully decorate a wall on their business, so if we can do that as well, it would be great (And likely last longer than a sign.

What else... the logo in my sig (which I designed) has been selected to be used on the local bumper stickers and buttons :D YAY!

That's awesome about the logo! I think it looks great too. :thumbsup2

How about Iraq sitting on their oil money while we pay for the reconstruction? Absolutely disgusting! Why are we funding this war....get us out now!

Well since our guy is not out on the trail today and there are no pictures, I thought I'd post one of Bill out on the trail. :teeth:

Pull out, pay them back for what we destroyed (which will likely cost less than continuing the war), and **SHOCKER** show some humility, admit we f!!cked up, and apologize and offer to rebuild.

If the newly formed terrorists don't want us there, then we don't rebuild but help them throughout (from abroad) with any questions and help they need.

My god, I should get out of this graphic design stuff and become a diplomat.

Very funny about the signs behind Bill :rotfl2:

Yeh, I love the Iraqi government is now sitting on something like 60 billion dollars from the beginning of this year.... WTH are we using our dollars for??

But, just got this, as I'm sure many of you did from the Democratic Party:

John McCain is so wrong on Iraq, he can't even get the basic facts about the situation on the ground correct.

Today, as he was questioning Gen. David Petraeus, he again confused the difference between Shiite and Sunni Muslims.

At least five times as a candidate John McCain has stated that Iran (a Shiite nation) is supporting Al-Qaeda (a Sunni group) in Iraq. This is not some minor mistake, but a significant gaffe. He clearly does not understand the sensitive political dynamics in that region of the world.

What's worse is that he's done it at important times when you'd expect him to be at his best -- he did it today in the Senate while questioning the commander of American forces in Iraq, and he did it on a recent trip to the Middle East.

If John McCain can't remember such a simple fact at crucial times, how will he be able to do it as President?

We have to stop John McCain from taking control of the White House, and stop him from taking over George Bush's war in Iraq. Can you write a letter to the editor of your local paper letting voters in your area know just how confused John McCain is?

http://www.democrats.org/gaffes

Once is misspeaking -- five times is a dangerous lack of understanding. John McCain so badly misunderstands Iraq that he's content to stay there for 100 years, something he's said multiple times. He has also failed to explain how he would pay for a war that is now costing you and me $12 billion each month -- money we could be using to help our economy here at home.

John McCain wants us to believe that his decades of foreign policy experience make him the natural choice to lead our nation at war with terrorists.

We just can't afford someone who just doesn't understand Iraq -- it's too dangerous.

Thanks for your support.

Thanks for the compliments... it's harder work here since we're dealing with a group of people that have been disenfranchised for over 100 years... unlike the 7ish that the rest of the US have been.

There are quite a few of us working here locally, I don't care to discuss numbers, but the support we're getting is quite uplifting (for not wanting to use the word 'shocking'). Right now the biggest things we're working on are translation of materials and speeches, and creating new materials geared towards educating Puerto Rico about Obama.

We're also trying to have bases in the population centers on the island, and not just San Juan. So far at the meetings, most of the people are from the San Juan area, but there have been new arrivals from across the island, and it's really encouraging... especially when they're coming from the opposite end of the island (a 3-4 hour drive) just to attend a 1-2 hour meeting, turn around and head home.

Personally, I've gone ahead and have moved back to San Juan until the primary has come and gone, and I'll be in the BVI only when it is absolutely pertinent I go there.

Very cool! :thumbsup2

I was playing around on logobama.com (and paintshop) and came up with one that we're using on some flyers here in West-by-God-Virginnie. :teeth:

I didn't plan on using it for anything, but was just playing around. One of the local campaign folks dropped me an e-mail and asked if they could use it. :confused3

that's quite awesome... mine came about similarly. I made it as a desktop wallpaper, but in illustrator using a scan of my bumper sticker as my template, and when I pulled out my laptop on the first day of the Puerto Rico for Obama campaign, one of the supervisors liked it enough that he asked me to help with graphics and then emailed me if I'd give him hi-res version. I did, and then the logo was approved by camp obama and it's now one of the 2 PR logos, the other being a photographic one designed by a different artist. Check it out in action (since I don't have a digital copy of it)

Bill Clinton's Ties To Colombia Trade Deal Stronger Than Even Penn's
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/04/08/bill-clintons-ties-to-col_n_95651.html

One thing I greatly dislike is this Columbian business, I've posted on this, and it just eats at me...
Clinton was paid $800,000?? Latin Americans must really, really like Clinton's speeches. Surely they weren't attempting to buy a little influence, were they? :rolleyes1

OT-Chris-fingers crossed for your house! I hope you get good news soon!

You should see what the UAE paid him, but since Columbia is the topic of much recent discussion, his actions there should be brought up....

My Husband is convinced these people will make an offer, so thanks :goodvibes let's hope it comes though!
