Too funny not to share. :teeth:

My personal favorite part:

A couple blocks east, at Jimmy's Quick Lunch, Clinton's the favorite of many regulars.

"I like her backup man," said retired machinist Ronald Duser, referring to former President Bill Clinton. "And her family's from Scranton. She seems to be an honest person, just like my wife."

Of Obama, Duser said: "I'm not crazy about voting for a colored guy, but that's not why I don't support Obama. I'm not prejudiced. I just like Hillary."

A couple tables over, Jean Fetterman, a foster grandparent, said of Clinton: "Oh, I love her. She's a very intelligent person, and she has her husband who went through this."

She scoffs at the idea of voting for Obama: "I don't want to be a Muslim!" She looks dubious when told Obama is Christian. "Then why did he go see what's-his-name over in Iraq, that Lama?"

She isn't clear about whom she means. She may have seen a photo of Obama wearing traditional clothing during a visit to Africa. "I don't care what color he is, I don't care if he's pink," she said. "I don't think he's got the same education Hillary has, and he's so young. He's arrogant, too."

I don't even know what to say to that that won't get me in trouble. :lmao:

Oh, you're just jealous that you don't regularly participate in such high brow, erudite conversation with your friends at the local lunch counter.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It's the Llama comment that really puts the finishing touch on it though, don't you think? I mean...sure, the one guy isn't crazy about voting for a "colored" guy - not that he's prejudice, or anything  - but that thing about the llama... I don't know whether to :lmao: or :scared: or

I KNOW not all Hillary supporters are like that, obviously (hi, Robinb!, planogirl ;) ). But all those quotes were missing were completely misspelled words and rants about how unfair the media has been (and what a saint Richard Mellon Scaffe is) and they'd have looked awfully familiar. :rolleyes1

Where are the IQ tests when you need them? (in regards to the woman who obviously has no idea what she is talking about)

Perhaps this woman is one of those people living under a rock I mentioned a week or so ago that ruffled so many feathers :sad2:

There's some scary stuff under those rocks! Yikes!!:scared: The only thing more frightening is that some of these folks have apparently obtained voter registration cards.:sad2:

Makes ya' wonder how they remember to breathe in and out all day, doesn't it? :rotfl:

Oh well...Bush had to get his votes from somewhere, so it's good of Hillary to start bringing those people back into the fold. ;)

I'm glad someone said the obvious :worship: :worship: :worship:

Like we saw recently in Oregon, another union breaks from their national endorsement and backs Obama. :thumbsup2

A day after U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton received a strong welcome from Pennsylvania union leaders, the same kind of enthusiasm seen elsewhere for Barack Obama seems to have taken hold among leaders and guests at the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO convention in Philadelphia.

Obama just arrived shortly before 9 a.m. to resounding and long applause from the crowd of at least 1,000 union leaders at the Sheraton Center City Philadelphia.

The applause and chanting was longer and stronger than Clinton received Tuesday when she likened herself to "Rocky" as she vowed to fight for workers.

Obama didn't quite diss "Rocky," but says he's more of a non-fiction kind of guy,

"I know there's been some talk about Rocky Balboa over the last couple of days. And you know, we all love Rocky We all love Rocky And last time I checked, I was the underdog in this state," Obama siad.

"So, so, the uh, so, so you know I like the Rocky story. But we got to remember that Rocky was a movie," he said. "And so is the idea that somebody can fight for working people and at the same time, embrace the broken system in Washington, where corporate lobbyists use their clout to shape laws to their liking.

"We need to challenge the system on behalf of America's workers," he said. "If we're not willing to take up that fight, then real change - change that will make a lasting difference in the lives of ordinary Americans - will keep getting blocked by the defenders of the status quo."

Of course, the real guy getting dissed in all this is Apollo Creed and Carl Weathers.

Introducing Obama, Henry Nicholas, president of the National Union of Hospital and Health Care Employees and Local 1199, just announced that the health care union will back Obama.

"By doing this, there is a message, the entire organized health care organization in Pennsylvania...is now united behind Barack Obama," he said as he endorsed Obama.

The announcement reflects a split within the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, which has endorsed Clinton.

On Tuesday, AFSCME president and Clinton super delegate Gerry McEntee declared "I'm here to let you know that one million, four-hundred thousand members of our union are for Hillary Clinton," as he introduced Clinton.

McEntee also tried to buttress Clinton by vouching for her opposition to the North American Free Trade Agreement.

But many union members say indicate may not tow the AFSMCE line.

"The union is asking us to back Hillary, but I'm very impressed with Obama," said Kelly Campbell, treasurer of AFSCME Local 2344 in Johnstown.

Joan Tomko, president of Local 2344, said, "It's all about Obama.

Tomko said she plans to tell members that the union has endorsed Clinton, but that members should vote their own conscience.

Obama within 6 in RCP's poll of polls in PA? If the end result is Hillary wins by 6, she's toast.

Obama Would Consider Gore for Major Post
"Democrat Barack Obama says as president he would consider putting Al Gore in a Cabinet-level position—or higher.

A woman at a town hall asked the Illinois senator if elected president would he consider tapping the former vice president for his Cabinet, or an even higher level office, to address global warming.

"I would," Obama said. "Not only will I, but I will make a commitment that Al Gore will be at the table and play a central part in us figuring out how we solve this problem. He's somebody I talk to on a regular basis. I'm already consulting with him in terms of these issues but climate change is real."

Gore, who's work on climate change earned him a Nobel Prize, is popular among Democrats."

I've read poll's today where they are essentially tied to where she has a 12 point lead, they are all over the place.... I don't think anyone has a great sense of what is going to happen in 3 weeks.... I did read off Politico that Obama may have a problem brewing in Indiana however.... he's not visited enough, not gotten around enough, I hope that he's able to... I also hope he takes another bus tour through PA just prior to the voting...

PPP has him ahead

We have our first nominee for "Understatement of the Year". :teeth:

Hmmm...Maybe "Al Gore...Head of the Environmental Protection Agency"? Secretary of Interior? What would he be interested in?

The important thing to note is that all of the polls show Hillary's once 20+ point lead trending very much downward. :thumbsup2

As for Indiana...I think he'll be alright if he can just find the time to get over there and do a bit more campaigning. He ought to have some of his surrogates over there now, including Michelle!

It's too bad he doesn't have a 20 something year old daughter LOL.... Isn't Michelle back to work? I thought she was back in Chicago?

I read that she is back in Chicago, but she flies out to some state almost every day for an appearance, then flies back home again. She gave up her job back in January. Today she is doing a rally at Carnegie Mellon University in PA.

Did she really quit her job? :scared1: Oh my... maybe she is just on leave?

Gov Dave speaks his mind. :goodvibes

Wyoming Governor Backs Obama
""The negativity, partisanship and lack of purpose that characterize our national debate and government are crippling this country," Freudenthal said in a statement issued by the Obama campaign. "While no one individual can effect this change alone, the change must begin with someone. Senator Obama is the Democratic candidate with the openness, honesty and skill to end this vicious cycle of business as usual."

Dave Freudenthal, though not as big a name, joins Bill Richardson of New Mexico as a Western governor who used to work for Bill Clinton now backing Obama.
