I was watching Dan Abhrams last night and yes Obama NEEDS to do something about this. Wright is involved in his campaign on the sipirtual board. Obama HAS to have him step down.

The one thing as an Obama supporter I have been able to say is that he stands by what he says and will not play that kind of politics. While the comments of Wright were not specifically geared towards Hillary the way Ferraro's comments were... they are still very racist and Obama has to get that out of his campaign.

He can still stay friends and all that but Wright should have no direct contact with the campaign. This will kill Obama to those that are undecided.

HC supporter here. You are (imo) 100% correct.

HC (i believe) will wisely say nothing on this unless pressed (& then will likely say the videos are "regrettable" or some such).

HC supporters (like me) are kind of flabbergasted at what we've seen. The preacher is a "Moral Compass", his pastor for 20 years & is the man who married the Obamas. Most of us HC supporters (i suspect) are going to lay low & see how this plays out.

Well, since the fact the man married them has been brought up a few times, perhaps they should divorce so they can be remarried by a proper priest?

And for the record, if you are using a preacher, a pastor or a priest as your true moral compass, you're bound to have some serious issues considering what they do in their time off....

Many people like to think "their" religion is without hypocrisy.

You're exactly right about using a minister/pastor/preacher/priest/ as a safe, guiding moral compass....decent chance you'll get lost as they become more enamored with their "leadership". It takes a very strong person to avoid the enticements of ego.

Yesterday NBC reported that 13% of registered voters still believe he is Muslim, and that number increased from 8% on a previous poll. I guess more than 1 in 10 voters have email, but no TV or newspapers.

My MIL's neighbor believe's he is Muslim and there is no convincing her otherwise, I'm curious to know what she's thinking now, she must be REALLY confused...

You know, if this were Hillary we were talking about, I wouldn't think she shared every belief with her pastor. Or McCain. I think all 3 candidates have their own minds.
