That's the 9 hole course right? Tell me about it. I am collecting information for the hubster.

Where is it exactly?
Time to play?
Fees?
Push carts available?
How long to play?
DVC member cost?
Discounts for DVC?

I am sure I'll have more questions come up.

I just saw a special on the Disney site a $55 special until January to play 9 holes at LBV. I wonder if a special like that would be available in June?

Also would the 9 hole course be a good course to play for the hubster who hasn't played in awhile? His golf clubs have cobwebs on them, so it's been awhile (he usually plays softball and has been to WWoS for a tournament or two). He is also very athletic and picks up anythign easily...or should he look into playing a more challenging course?

Oak Trail is located at the same place as Palm and Magnolia. In fact the pro shop serves all three courses. It is a very nice 9 hole course that takes about 2 hours to play. There are push carts to rent, I think for $6. The regular rate was $38 dollars, but with the DVC membership $20 cost. They do recommend making tee times also. It is a very nicely maintained course for a 9hole definitely good for beginners or dusting off cobwebs!

If you have passes with 'pluses' on them (water parks, Disney Quest), you can use one for a round at Oak Trail - hubby and his friend did this in the summer twice, took two young boys with them on one day. They really enjoyed it. Just missed the golf carts they were spoiled with at LBV!

Oak Trail is very relaxed -- walking course -- nice if you have small kids, or are beginners. Don't forget that you can take a cab ride over there -- that's the least expensive part of the day! :goodvibes
