Kelly, if for no other reason, I hope the AC stays put for your sake. I had to laugh, I can feel you spitting nails about this!

Anjelica, I'm seriously considering taking the DCL bus to the port, even though it's going to be expensive. You and I talked about possibly sharing a ride to the port, but with my biggish group, we'd have to get a large transport vehicle, and I don't see how that would be cost effective for you, unless we share the price by the person instead of in half.

Jesse's girlfriend Gabbie is in WDW now, having a ball, lucky girl, staying in a family suite in one of the All-Stars.

I just off the treadmill, and I'm really liking it.

That's the news from Brooklyn!

It truly is one of a kind.. Think.. what would we do if they decided to get rid of the Castle??? ok... now I know I am exaggerating.. but really!! What if they got rid of say.... the Character Breakfast at Chef Mickey's?? that is one of a kind and has been around for decades as well!! Cant get that experience anywhere else than in Disney.

Ok.. I am off of my soapbox.. lol.. FOR NOW!!!

Hey. I cant remember.. who is doing the Fish Extenders?? Can I join in? Now that I know I am going for sure. Is everyone buying theirs? or making them? and have we decided if its going to be items from your area or disney items or cruise items or NO specific theme? Are we going to have the room numbers to make deliverys easier??

Too many questions all in a row. I know.

Joining WW on Monday.. Going to slim down to look good in a gold dress, to be purchased at a later date!

My car holds 5, there will be 3 - that means if she has a car & I have a car we can save you money & we can drive together.

I signed the petition at 2:30 this am. so I can say it was the best thing I've done all day.

About the FE, all I know is that we leave gifts for each other. I don't really know how it works other than that, like is it per family, is it daily, what kinds of gifts...

I was reading about FE on the forum. Some people make their fish extenders, others buy them off of Ebay.

The other things I was reading, were some people organize themes.. like something from where you live or represents were you live, others were for disney themes and some had no themes at all. Some get for each member of the family and tailor the gift to be for adults vs. children, others are a per family item.

So.. like one group, they were from TN. They brought nips of the local booze for each adult.. I forget what they got the kids. Others bring disney stuff and then include postcards from their home.

I have an idea of what I would do for the kids.. and then would have to come up w/stuff for the older members of the groups. Also, what age do you think kids are no longer interested in autographs??

They also provide a list of room numbers and names and ages of the cabins participating in the fish extenders. OH!!! and zip ties.. everyone should bring zip ties and secure those puppies to their fish. APPARENTLY some non disney like behavior has been known to happen, and they go missing.

Hi everyone,

Had my post surgery check up today and I'm good to go! I told her I thought that I still shouldn't do any housework or cooking or laundry....

Artman--wow, that place is beautiful. I like watching HGTV's house hunters and vacation home search--that looks like something I would see on vacation home search!

I know you all will probably be in shock when I tell you this, but I haven't been to WDW since 1987. We stopped for Mickey's Christmas party for a couple hours in 2004, but really didn't see much. So, I'm not sure what is closing--I probably have never seen it. I know, I'm pathetic!

My son decided he wants to stay home and cook out for his birthday, and just hang out by the pool. Hopefully, it will be warm enough.

My youngest just left for his in car driving instructions. His driver is wacky! He said she talks the whole time about her crazy family problems. Only 2 more times with her then he is done. My daughter and I are off to the library--she has no money to buy books so we will borrow them. She loves to read.

Judy

Don't worry about not being at WDW since 1987 - I have NEVER been there - pathetic, I know, but all that walking just doesn't sound enjoyable. We also have Cedar Point practically in our back door, so amusement parks are not a "must do" thing. We have all loved cruising so much, we keep going back and opting to not do the world!!

Now I feel like we have missed out on something great. We have been to WDW a few times and have never done the Pleasure Island thing. It was always something we were going to do another time. Having a small child in tow on all of our trips, we were never that interested in the DTD area.

Thanks for the positive comments on our cottage purchase. The honey-do list is growing. If all goes according to plan we will take ownership the week before my jaw surgery.

Same here! It was something Dick and I were saving till we vacationed together. Heck, that's why we bought DVC points at SSR... :sad2:  :sad1::sick: :sad2:  :sad1:

Luckily w/the DVC points, you can stay at any of their villas. I say choose either the Boardwalk or the Beach Club for the next trip, and you could enjoy JellyRolls or the ESPN bar.

There is also the Atlantic Dance Company, but I have never been there..

My trip in July, we booked at SSR BECAUSE we planned on the PI thing..

Kaz... you can still put those DVC points to good use. A girlfriend of mine is staying at Disneyland Paris this Sept on DVC points!

There is also the Atlantic Dance Company,

That place is always dead! Ever since Disney replaced the swing music with top 40, it's been downhill for the Atlantic. I don't dance swing, but it used to be a great place to have a drink and hang out while watching people get their swing groove on. Sigh.

Gee, what a bunch of party animals we are!

Cheers, hon! I don't think using the points is ever gonna be a problem - holding onto them is a different matter... :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: Actually, we're planning a coupla nights at the DLH in Paris next Spring, mais oui! Haven't been for years and it's doubled in size in recent times... :thumbsup2

Hey Marla
I just put your room # on the 1st page. I believe we are neighbors. Ours is 7620

Anjelica
could you change our listing to
Colleen
John
Jill
The rest of the family can't make it.
Also, I will be at SOG the 23rd
thanks

don't shoot me...but i never had the desire to go to PI....so don't really care that it's closing...when i'm in WDW or DL; i just want to be in the parks 15 hours a day - every day...works for me....there are nightclubs galore here....it's just not something that ever interested me.....

So who is organizing the FE group? I remember seeing that awhile back, but cant for the life of me remember.

I told my dh ALL about FE last night. He gave me a LOOK like WHAT??? YEP, I told him we are doing it and he will enjoy it!! An added bonus to our cruise.

I would LOVE to go to Disneyland Paris someday. I think it will happen, but I think that I will have to wait til the economy gets better. My friend said her air was $750/person.
