NYE party at SSR

Has anyone attended the NYE party at SSR? Does the entire party take place at the quiet pool in Congress Park? Is it a pool party? Is it appropriate for kids? Is it better to have a patio at CP to come & go to/from party, or is it so loud that a higher floor would be better?

ANY details you can give me are appreciated? Or if you have tips for me? Should we bring folding chairs? What has the weather been like in the past? Is the Quiet pool crowded? ARe there other things going on around SSR at the same time?

always go with a higher floor - the views are better.

don't know for sure - so this is a guess.

the fireworks at PI are now ONLY on NYE - the patio area in behind the pool area was designed to view the fireworks. (which is why I was surprised when they stop doing them every night)

so guessing that is why the party is there.
