This is our first time spending NYE in the parks. Where would you go and why. Please help me decide. We don't want to go to MK or PI but are open up to any other suggestions. Thanks,

Wow I didn't realize this. How cool would that be.
Question - If this is only shown twice a year,Just how crowded does this make the park.
Where did you eat last NYE?
Decisions, decisions.

Epcot would be my choice. All those adult beverage opportunities in each country, also lots of different food. They always have great entertainment going on all over & of course... Illuminations! :D

The beauty of Sorcery in the Sky is it can be seen from nearly every part of the park. Obviously it's best seen from Hollywood Boulevard, but you can get a great viewing position from right outside the gates as well. This being said, the park will be crowded(as they all are on NYE) but I suspect many more folks will be at MK for Fantasy in the Sky, which helps cut down MGM crowds.

We usually go to Epcot because there is more room there and the cool music stages. We're trying the MK this year for the 360 degree fireworks. Yikes!

I like Epcot because of all the great restaurants. We usually eat at Tepankayi Steakhouse for dinner. Yum!

oh Now I want to go to MK. Tell me more about these 360degree fireworks. The more I know, the more confused I get.

;) Don't get too nutty over this decision, honestly, you'll have a fantastic time which ever park you choose! Remember, NOBODY does it like Disney! :earsgirl: :earsboy:

Hey wait a second - we're talking New Years Eve here, don't forget that there is no alcohol in MK - not even a lousy Champagne toast! That leaves Epcot (my vote!) or MGM. :smooth:

I came to this board just for these same ideas. After lots of family discussion, we vote EPCOT. We will be in the BCV, so this will be a close walk home.

Rob

Yeah I think I am leaning towards epcot too. Anyone else.

Looks like we will see a few of you at Epcot this NYE . Two years ago we did the Magic Kingdom for NYE - the 360° fireworks were simply amazing. We actually managed to have supper at Epcot, return to our room, and take the last bus to enter the MK before the fireworks that night. The driver even mentioned that during the fireworks the busses don't run.

Our plan this time is to spend the day at Epcot, and then celebrate our 20th anniversary with dinner that night at Le Cellier. Needless to say, we are counting the days.
