NYE Fireworks from TTC?

We know we're not going to be able to get in to MK on NYE (my MIL would have a one day ticket), but we were thinking of watching the fireworks from the TTC. She has some mobility issues so she wouldn't be able to walk to the Narcoossee's dock, which is our preferred out-of-the-park viewing for Wishes.

So my questions are:

We'll still be able to park at the TTC, even late in the evening, right? We have APs.

They pipe in the music, right? We've been at the TTC during the fireworks (while heading to our car) and thought I remembered hearing the music.

Is it going to be busy there? Like I said, we've been there at fireworks time on regular nights and it's been empty as we've walked through, but I'm guessing this would be different..

Are there better areas to watch from, at the TTC?

We're also considering going tonight instead of on NYE (still watching from the TTC).. is that a way better idea than actually going on NYE? We don't care too much about it being NYE, we just want to see the show.

Thanks!

1. Unknown.
2. Correct.
3. Yes. Likely very busy.
4. See map below.
5. Likely just as busy (if not more) as many guests do MK fireworks on Dec. 30 and Epcot fireworks on Dec. 31.

So how early do you think we should get there? Do they let people crowd the area you've got shaded like the way it gets wall-to-wall people in the park?

Parking at the TTC closes well before the park reaches capacity. I wouldn't count on being able to park there. You're better off parking at Epcot and taking the monorail to the TTC. Note that sometimes the monorail will be down and they'll run a bus, which will take much, much longer. And the walk may be similar to viewing at a resort.

Personally, I'd try to book a dinner at one of the monorail resorts and stay to watch the fireworks. There are tables available at 'Ohana and California Grill at the moment.

I don't think I would count on being able to park there. If you must go in a car, I think it's likely you will end up parking at Epcot unless you arrive really early.

Isn't California Grill about $600 per person on NYE?

Yes, sorry; I was referring to 12/30 (tonight) for the dining reservations. Tonight was listed as an option, which would seem to make more sense for the OP.

My experience has been I have had not trouble parking at the TTC on Dec 30/NYE in the evening. Many families with little ones leave after dinner/Castle lighting/parade and that seems to open up the lot. We generally arrive in the 8:30-9:00 time period and have never been redirected (and actually got some pretty decent parking that got us out of there before the mad rush at midnight). That said by arriving at that time if the lot is full there is the option still of going over to Epcot to park and monorail over with enough time.
