NJ has outdoor dining open, with in person limited to start soon.
I think NYC is 2 weeks behind you guys.

Actually, you'd better plan a long trip. You'll have to quarantine for two weeks IN Florida, and then again for two weeks when you return home.Yes, if you go down to FL (or the other states on the list,) for vacation and come back to NY, NJ, CT, you will have to quarantine once you are back.
Yes they flew. So unnecessary and stupid in my opinion. And he came back and worked at his second job, as a bartender, for a few days before he came down with symptoms. So who knows how many others he infected. I also have a friend, who flew with her 15 year old and *80* year old mother...to Florida, where her mom has a second home. Why did they go down there? They too were *itching* to travel. I was so worried for her mother that I gave them N95 masks for both ways. They've been home a few days, so hoping they don't get it too. Just incredibly risky and in my opinion, foolish behavior.
Yep, that's going to be key. We should look at what the other states have done wrong, and not repeat their mistakes. I'm sorry, but indoor dining and bars in any form....are a bad idea. Once you're inside, mask off, eating, talking, laughing....that virus is in the air, and is going to spread.
California is really in bad shape too...over 7,000 cases today which obliterates their total from yesterday.
Outdoor dining is safer than indoors. Bars will be opening up, Haircutters. Think in NYC, Haircutter have just opened up.NJ has outdoor dining open, with in person limited to start soon.

If a person violates the quarantine, they may be subject to a judicial order and mandatory quarantine.
They may have to pay the costs of quarantine.
$2000 for first violation.
$5000 for second violation.
Up to $10,000 if they cause harm.![]()
If it works like it has traveling from the Tri state to Florida, you are given the quarantine papers while you are on board. They should announce it at the gate before getting on the plane, in case a traveler isn’t awareMy best friend's family went down to FL on Monday to stay with his FL resident sister this week. I wonder if this will require his family to quarantine on return? Sounds like it. Wonder how it will be enforced. They flew down, might get the quarantine papers when they land?

I'm gonna tell you....you might be okay outside with a mask on down there, but once inside any building, with masks off to eat, drink, etc....you're got a pretty good chance to catch this thing.
Wow, didn't realize CA was getting up so high. Hope they can reel it back in.Yep, that's going to be key. We should look at what the other states have done wrong, and not repeat their mistakes. I'm sure you've seen some of the video of how the owners of certain bars are allowing young kids to pile in, no masks when close to each other...etc. We're seeing the results of that now in Florida, Texas and Arizona. California is really in bad shape too...over 7,000 cases today which obliterates their total from yesterday.
NJ too, on Monday, with social distancing, plexiglass, masks, temperature checks... I’ve been getting many haircut and pedicure pics from friends who are braver than I am.Outdoor dining is safer than indoors. Bars will be opening up, Haircutters. Think in NYC, Haircutter have just opened up.

This is why we canceled going down to the Jersey shore this summer. We didn't want to have to wear masks on the crowded boardwalk outside. And we didn't want to chance eating indoors or spend all the time indoors in places in masks.

I saw a few posts today claiming you can get tested after 72 hours, and if it comes back negative you don’t have to quarantine. I have no idea if this information is accurate. I couldn’t seem to find a source to confirm it or if it even applies to the tri state area. Any ideas?
We are lucky, we are renting an ocean front 8 bedroom house in Point Pleasant, plenty of room, staying away from the boardwalk and restaurants. We will bring supplies from home and order takeout and grocery delivery. My sister’s family is flying in from Chicago, luckily they shut down well in the beginning. This is why we canceled going down to the Jersey shore this summer. We didn't want to have to wear masks on the crowded boardwalk outside. That’s supposed to end july 7 (Florida restriction. )Actually, you'd better plan a long trip. You'll have to quarantine for two weeks IN Florida, and then again for two weeks when you return home.
Thanks, I appreciate it. I wasn’t sure of the validity of the claim but figured I’d ask!I haven't heard that yet, but I'll see if my cousin got any guidance. He's young-ish...28, but still, he should know better.
If you have a trip planned to go to WDW this summer. I'd seriously rethink that decision. The airlines are packing these flights full. People can take masks off in flight to drink and eat. So...might as well not have a mask at all. It's legit *nuts*.
And I'm not sure if NJ will enforce this in a way that NY is planning to do. But, had my own cousin flown down there knowing about a 14 day quarantine, and then didn't follow the rules....I would have ratted him out immediately.
Come on people....be smart, stay home if you can, and if you can't...wear a damn mask.
