Hi everyone! Nice to meet you!

We went with a small contract, 80 points at BWV.

Welcome to the coolest thread on the Dis. Quick question, I was reading your post and trying figure out exactly where you are at in the process. Do we need to put you on one of our glorious lists or when you say you signed already did you close? Sometimes I'm obtuse and need extra assistance in these matters. Anyway :wave2: .

Good Morning Everyone,

We will be be busy packing the shorts and swim stuff today and after one more day at work tomorrow heading down to for the magic for a few days. Our princess turns four Wedesday and asked what she wanted most for her birthday.. well you guessed it a trip to see Mickey, Donald and the gang. Shes a chip off the old block lol. Going to be staying two nights at our new home VWL than offsite the last night since everything was booked. We are taking her to the PPP for her birthday. We really enjoyed this when we went in Feb. The last day is at seaworld. I guess we might have to sit in the splash zone at the Shampoo show as she calls it lol. We finally got in the system but no points yet. We will go by SSR and get our temp. card and plan to go by TSS and get our gift basket.

Have a great time! The baskets from the TSS are AWESOME!:goodvibes

Hi everyone! Nice to meet you!

We went with a small contract, 80 points at BWV. That's all I could talk my husband into.;) Hey, he first said I could only buy 50!! We love WDW and rented points to stay at BWV in January and fell in love with it. My kids are teenagers and loved the tennis courts, bikes, and the community hall to play some fierce games of ping pong. We also walked over to the Fantasia miniature golf. We loved being right there near everything. We are renting points again in November but couldn't get BWV and are staying at SSR. My new contract starts in October but I don't think I will try to use my points instead of my renters. From the DIS board reading, I heard that's hard to do (change reservations) and I don't want to upset my renter. It will allow me to go next year with doube the points!

I don't need to have it done in a hurry so I will probably go with $4k on my cc and the rest a check. Thanks for the advise!

Oh, and I already have 3 people at work that want to rent my points!!:lmao:

I started with 80 points too, I really think that is a great # to start!:goodvibes Try not to catch addonitis.. it is deadly.. on your bank account.:scared1:

We went with 50 but know there will be more coming!;) We don't have the
%&*# number of pts goal that some have,;) , but would love to have 130. After careful deliberation though, we decided they would all be at HHI. We can't see wanting to go to VWL every year or even every other so we would just rent for that dream trip at Christmas. We are more interested in getting to HHI at least once a year in a 1 bedroom.

I still may pay GMAC with a cc afterall. Those points sure would be nice. Our total won't be much over $4000 anyway. It depends on when we get our docs......still waiting. That woman must be a slow typist!!!:rolleyes1

Good Morning :flower3: Welsome to newbies and good luck!
I have been busy spending my stimulus money :rotfl: Went shopping yesterday for our upcoming trip, finished shopping this morning at the Disney Shopping, they have free shipping, plus I had a 25% coupon :woohoo:
Is Aunt Edna lurking anywhere today, I don't want to run into her again  Made the mistake on one thread, if I wanted a debate I would go to topix! Hope everyone has a great day.:)

I threw my stimulus check into the savings for my closing.:rolleyes1 I too shall some day have a closing.

I haven't seen her this morning but then I haven't really been looking. She usually finds me!!;) Mr. Crankypants has been nice so far, though. I think he just might have been having a bad day yesterday.

We have only signed the initial paperwork that was e-mailed to us. I faxed that back to GMAC on Wednesday. So the seller has to sign then it goes to ROFR?

I think what sold my husband on DVC is that in say 10 years we aren't happy with it, we can always sell it and at least get our money back out of it. So it's not like staying at POR and once you stayed there, your money is gone.

I just can't wait to hear "Welcome Home" and it's meant for me and not the person I rented from!:cool1:  :woohoo:

I'm hoping we hear something this week that our closing is finalized. My DW and will be flying to Florida at 7am this coming Wednesday morning!!! :goodvibes

Lucky you, I still have a 28 days to wait. Hopefully they'll go by fast ;) I sure wish Disney did something special for Father's Day, so far I haven't found anything. If anyone hears something please let me know :thumbsup2

I'm rethinking my August trip, DH is in trouble:lmao: We decided to home school DD for the next 2 years and put her in an accelerated homeschool course. She has been too bored this year and advance classes aren't offered until 5th grade :confused3 So I'm thinking about going in September or early October now. Provided it doesn't get in the way of the music and theater classes she takes.

How do you guys get your home resort on your signature? I have mine from a countdown website. I'm not going to jinx myself and use it just yet. I will wait until we've officially closed.

Minniekissedme helped me with mine but it took a few tries. He's the one to answer this one, I'd just mess it up.

Sad day for my Bucks. Hey, they did make it farther than ever and they even scored 10 goals against Duke. That in itself is impressive. At least Ohio State Lacrosse is on the map. Now, comon Irish!!!

Off to do more homework.

Here's a link to a website that has numerous home resort options. Right click and go to properties then copy the address (url). Then go to your signature, click the insert image icon and then paste the address. It should pop right up!

Moving into day 19 now since Disney got the paperwork for ROFR, and still haven't heard anything. It looked like the average waiting time was about 10 days. I hope I don't move the average up too much!:scared:

Then I heard the estoppel phase can take even longer. My sis-in-law got her resale completed start-to-finish in 3 weeks! (She sent me pixie dust on Friday so maybe I'm going to hear soon) :goodvibes

Sounds like you might need some more :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: best of luck!!!

One thing I discovered was that people were counting differently. Some were counting calendar days and some were counting business days only. My ROFR took 14 calendar days but only 9 business days. So, you aren't that far off. Another thing we have seen on this thread is resellers forgetting to notify the buyer that they have passed. Have you called "to check in"?
Just remember, that which does not kill us, strengthens us. Or something profetic like that.

At least you can hang out with us while you wait!! Now, that makes it better, doesn't it.:lmao: Just kiddn. It is torcherous isn't it?

Well, my Irish fell by 2. Bummer. Maybe the midwestern teams will make it farther next year. They put on a good show though.:cheer2:

Our ROFR took 9 calendar days and the estopple took 26 calendar days, now we are waiting to hear, if or when, our closing took place. :rolleyes1
