Nurse Tammy's "Waiting for ROFR" Support Group - The Sequel

Moving into day 19 now since Disney got the paperwork for ROFR, and still haven't heard anything. It looked like the average waiting time was about 10 days. I hope I don't move the average up too much!:scared:

Then I heard the estoppel phase can take even longer. My sis-in-law got her resale completed start-to-finish in 3 weeks! (She sent me pixie dust on Friday so maybe I'm going to hear soon) :goodvibes

Hey fellow Massachusettsite. Hanging right there with you in the ROFR phase although not quite as long as you. Here's some more pixie dust coming your way! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Our ROFR only took 7 calendar days. But estopple has been dragging on for 3 weeks and counting.

That's what BuckeyeFan did. I was thinking about it too but it delayed her closing a bit, if I understood correctly. She called GMAC and then they had to wait for it to post, then wait for accounting to send a check to closing company. She could only do up to $4000.

!

That's exactly right. Up to $4K per contract. GMAC then charges the card, receives the deposit and cuts a check to the closing company. If you're in no hurry, it probably adds another week to the process.

:

They told us you can charge the entire thing...however there is a 3 1/2% fee for the money charged over $4000...(the fee is what AMEX charges them).

Seriously LM and GB since I named him first can we come up with a compromise??? Say Mr Crankypants Fester???

I would send pixie dust to the newbie but I'm afraid it might be coal with how long our Estoppel took:lmao:

How about Mr. Fester B. Crankypants. I think the middle initial adds something, don't you?:lmao:

Thanks for the clarification. Still would love those points. I will see once I get our settlement.

Sorry Laxmom, my Orangemen were just a little better than your Irish today. SU had a really rough season last year and didn't even make it to the playoffs. I'm happy to see them doing better.

Did anyone call DV ahead of time to let them know their cc was going to take a bit hit so they would be aware?

Who's Mr. Fester B. Crankypants?

But I can at least send the thread a little further up the boards for the early risers...

Take it from here, Susan and Tammy!

(I'll check in sometime later in the day.)

Well...it COULD be a generic (or even a specific) name for someone who might show a tendency toward annoying attitudes in his posts - but it certainly doesn't rise to the level of being an Aunt Edna! Hate to be cryptic, but it's just something some of us have had some fun with, to try to ease our frustrations with negative or condescending comments from some posters on other threads...not this one. (Everyone gets along pretty well, here, and if someone negative should show up, it would be my vote that that person gets no answers, whatsoever! Just freeze 'em out, and don't let them bait us.)

I know what you mean, Grandbuddy. I've seen some not-so-nice comments on some of these boards.

Glad to see it's not tolerated on this board.:thumbsup2

Hey GB...just catching up...huge weekend...capped off with DS9's bday party today with the fam! Cook/clean/eat all on the blue flu...great friends baptized their new daughter yesterday...

:welcome: abord Weluvdiz...never a dull moment around here!

Well, I'm here now....where's everyone else? :confused3 You all go to bed way to early and get up way to early! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Where's Amy?

I head off on my work travel week....but after I get back I head to Disneyland! Hope everyone has a great week!!!

Good morning all you sleepy heads and night owls!!

Grandbuddy, you could be on wikopedia!!

Yea, yea, Orangemen, yada, yada. Just kiddin. I just would like to see the midwest make their presence known in an east coast sport. Notre Dame gave them a run for their money. Truth is, I am not an Irish fan but they are part of the Great West Lacrossse League. I am a Buckeye thru and thru. Hopefully GWLL will be taken a little more seriously. My prediciton is Duke/Virginia in the final. We'll see.

I have heard that several people do call Chase and give them a heads up when buying from Disney so I would consider it so there aren't any further problems. I did order my first rewards card yesterday. I would love to use my card but I am going to be putting my cruise on it next week so I can get the 6 months no interest next week. It depends on when the settlement comes and if I can get it paid off before that happens. I have heard of people having problems with Chase and the way they apply payments if you have a regular charge and a no interest offer on your statement at the same time. I don't even want to go there.

Have a great day all! I really hate Mondays!! Where's the sleepy smiley?

Hoping to get my contract today, I want to go to ROFR! Lets get the party started.:cool1:

Wow. I'm not anxious to jump back on this train any time soon. No offense guys. It just has been a long road. I'm ready to plan my first trip!!! Then maybe....just maybe!

Have you every even told us where this contract was? I know you don't want to spill details but won't you tell us where so we can ooohh and ahhhhh?

Well I got my original in 2005, so it is like childbirth you forget how painful it is!:lmao: My contract is at Vero.

Glad to see I'm not the on one that logs on early. I can always count on seeing a post from Laxmom :goodvibes :)

For anyone that's interested. Took the kiddos to see Prince Caspian yesterday. Not bad. The kids liked it (DS10, DS8). It had beautiful scenery (makes me want to visit New Zealand more than ever), not too scary, a couple of battle scenes. A reviewer in the local paper described it as Lord of the Rings lite. I would definitely agree with that. Hmm, looking at what I just wrote can't tell if this is a postive review or negative. :confused3 I did like it, but didn't love it. It beat sitting through the Spongebob Squarepants movie! :scared: :rotfl:

Nice day here, off to the barn after DS goes to school. Pixie dust to all that are waiting in various stages. pixiedust: pixiedust:

Good morning all...a bit nippy in the northeast today...quite yucky actually. Could have some lacrosse today, too.

Little league action tonite...if it doesn't lacrosse. House hunting in a bit...DW is always happy when I try to fry some bacon...

Hey all, it was a busy end of the week and weekend with work, but think I am caught up now. I hope it is a good Monday for all who are waiting, and waiting, and waiting.

Need to get back at it, but wanted to give HR a big Congrats!!!

I've considered Vero since we love beach vacations.

After next week, Laxmom may not be posting so early!! School will be out and I will get another hour of sleep!!:cool1: They get out next Tuesday- have to go half a day to make up a half a snow day when they dismissed early.:sad2: But yet they dismiss early every Wed. Why not go til normal time on those Wednesdays for the last month and end on time? Doh!!

Good morning Disney Peeps....
I'm so happy we are to be down in the 90's today. The 100's are just too hot!

Mr Fester B. Crankypants is perfect...thanks (so what does the B stand for?:lmao: )

My oh my the airline tickets are going up...I just looked this morning in hopefull anticipation of going to Disney...they are at almost $500 round trip...yikes! For all of us to go that is almost $3000...That is why we will be going only once a year...possibly every other year!

Anyone have any great Memorial Day plans??? We are having a BBQ pool party. My DH is on call (bummer), seriously where we live it is better to stay home and not risk the drunk drivers. Shasta Lake is by us and it is expected that over 5,000 college students will be renting houseboats at the lake. Chico State is only an hour and a half from here.....for those of you who don't know, it is the #1 party school in the US.

The "B" stands for sometimes he B a crankypants!!! (My grandchildren would understand this perfectly. Especially the one who asks, "Poppa, is I'm going, too?")
