Good morning all! Thank goodness it is friday!! Still not myself this am but it is friday and I think I can get thru the day.

Laxlad has another game tonite. It is an away game. I am really hoping they can win tonite. I really think they need a victory and a positive.

My Mother in law is coming for a visit on Monday....supposedly. She has said she was coming before and cancelled last minute so we'll see. That means a weekend of cleaning. Yippee. My favorite thing to do on a weekend.

Busy little peeps again last night I see!

Congrats to Gingermouse17 & Rambler5678 on your closings!


OK, just need to share something. Went to 2nd grade open house for DS last night. Each kid had to choose someone famous to do a biography on & then give a little presentation to all the parents. Of course DS chose Walt Disney! I'm raising him right! I hadn't seen anything he'd prepared & he did such a good job. Did you know that Walt Disney used to work in a pet store? Just one of the interesting facts he shared. I really was blown away by all the kid's presentations. They all did a fantastic job. Ok that's my brag for the day. I'm so proud

Question for those of you that are already owners. We got our contract from TSS on Tue. I can't remember exactly how it was worded but item #11 says something about "there are many important documents concerning your timeshare that should be reviewed, etc., etc." DH was concerned about this since it says you have 10 days to cancel once you sign the contract, but we haven't seen these documents. I called TSS & spoke to Jamie I think. She said the documents I'm referring to was an annual book from Disney with operating expenses, maintenance expenses, etc. She said most people never ask to see it & Disney doesn't send it unless you ask. She said they had one copy for each resort & would overnight it to me. Didn't get it yesterday, will call today to follow up. Does anyone know anything about these "important documents"? I find it strange that they mention you should review them, but then don't give you access to them.

Ok, help the newbie understand. I figured people received 'guides' when the bought direct and that the guide was, essentially, their salesperson who was following through after the purchase. Are people getting guides when buying resale? How does that work?



HR - it's not just that you wrote on here, it's that they heard you own that one share of Disney stock! They're scared of your influence!!

O.K. if you have ever took a tour of DVC the person that showed you around is now your guide. If you buy resale, that person is still your guide. If you buy resale and never took a tour, a guide will be assigned to you. Why, because Disney knows about addonitis and wants to be sure you know who to call!

First of congratulations on Little Horselover's "Walt Disney" project .

Your probably right, we should have all read these things. I'm sure your doing the right thing by getting them but to be honest I didn't bother doing it. You would be doing us all a big favor if you find anything really weird in there. I guess I just relied on trusting people I know with DVC and reading boards like this one and my personal experience with Disney. Not the best business practice on my part.

I will personally aspire to such lofty goals!! I'm in awe of your dis-parenting skills!

Thanks HR. I never took a tour. I've had conversations with two different guides over the phone, but never more than to order the DVD and materials. So, I guess I'll wait and see. Thanks for the explanation.

My favorite thing I heard about Walt Disney was that the next day after DL opened, the newspaper wrote that DL was a flop........... Boy were they wrong!

O.K. I bopping around on the boards today and I find a thread on "Who is your guide". So I chime in on how my guide is Linda O'Grady and that I closed last month and never heard from her. I even mentioned the fact that I said something to MS and still never heard anything from her. Well, tonight My wife and I are sitting here, just a little while ago and the phone rings IT'S HER!!! I'm sorry through this whole process I hear nothing then it just happens on the same day I post on the other thread that she calls!!! It can't be a coincidence. I mean don't get me wrong she seems really nice and all but I was just a little disappointed that all of you were getting calls from your wonderful guides and I wasn't, I felt left out. I think the forum is very powerful, I don't think we truly understand it's power, be careful.

Has anyone else who has closed (and not done the tour) been called by their guide? Have not heard a peep from anyone. Also, any word on how long it takes to get your new member pack?

Tammy, can't wait to see the rest of the pics, sounds like a great trip. But all of are on the edge of our seat waiting to here about AKV points. Did you come back with any?????

Seems some nut sent a letter here with a "white substance" and a note (conflicting stories about what the note says) but a little never wracking, ventalation system is now off but that took way to long – we have news helicopters overhead and “has mat” teams out front a little unnerving. I got to run. I’ll post some more later, I hope. Anyone around Eastern Mass watch the 12:00 news and you’ll see where I work.
