I just tired, you know how you get after a long boring week and then you get one of those Anthrax scares, come home, have a few beers. Just wipes you out. Good night all TGIF. ;)

Good Morning All. Have you noticed all the up coming trips in my signature ;) All the trips are off points on my 1st contract. I got my member # for my 2 contract and haven't decided what to do with those points yet. I am looking at going in mid Jan. or early Feb. Usually that's when we go and we love getting away from the cold. :thumbsup2

Ed- Did they every decide what was in the envelope? I have been thinking about that poor lady, I hope she managed to get some sleep last night.

Amy - Congrats :dance3:

Way to go, Ctinker!!! Whoo HOoo!! Love the tickers, especially when they are on points. Some day I too will have points.:rolleyes1

Good Morning, all. Gotta get some housework done today with MIL coming Monday for the week. She has never seen Laxlad play and will be here for his last two games of the season. I'd like to get some flowers planted too.

Collegeman and DIL (I need a nickname for her too!) are coming over later to watch NCAA lax with us and have dinner for Mom's day. My Buckeyes play Cornell :scared1: today. Go Bucks!!

I'll check in later when I have a clean house. Have a great day!!!
Yea, HR, any news?

Ok, and how did you sleep? How are you doing?

I can imagine being shook up at first and then getting ticked! Real good and ticked that someone would be that stupid.

I haven't heard the official report yet but I understand she's doing just fine now. As far as a good nights sleep well, I couldn't tell you.

Here is an article in the local paper about it.

http://www.salemnews.com/punews/local_story_130200506.html

Read the article, interesting that it will take 72 hours to determine what was in it. I hope they find out who did it.

Cloudy day here, the kind of day where you don't want to do much. Told DH I was taking the weekend off from house work, after all its Mother's Day weekend. :rotfl: DD is at SIL's until tomorrow and it is nice to be able to just relax. ;)

I wish I could just relax. That will come later. We usually do what we call a GI party. Everyone pitches in and since the weekend is the only days we are all here....... Laxlad is off working with the kids lacrosse team this am but he will be back shortly to help out. I've got way too much homework to spend too much time on the house!!

Our beautiful day for the weekend is today; sunny and 70. Tomorrow it is supposed to lacrosse all day. Nice.

It looks like it has been a quiet day on the thread. I've been reading Apollo 13, seen the movie never read the book. Got half way through and DH started complaining. Looks like will be going out to eat once our neighbor gets here to borrow a tv. He has had 2 tv's blow up in 2 days, DH went over a little while ago with some meter thing came back and wanted the power company's phone number. Apparently he has a major problem, DH said with the surges in his home he could have a fire start. :scared1: Hopefully the power company gets here soon and we'll get to go eat. I wasn't hungry until he mentioned going out :rotfl:

Yikes, that's scary!!

So did anyone happen to notice that my Ohio State University Buckeyes beat Cornell today!? Whooo hoooo!!! And they didn't just beat them, they beat them 15 to 7 or something like that. They really looked good. Next week, they play Duke.:scared1:

Guess what! Guess what!!! I have talked DH into going to WDW in Dec. just the 2 of us to see the decorations and lights. I have been looking into airfare and it isn't too bad. I started checking into rooms and it isn't too bad. I am thinking that we will end up paying for a room since it is so hard to get ressies thru DVC for that time frame. Just can't decide where. Any suggestions?

I'd talk to Tammy or Kristen I think they have been there around the Holidays, I was there the week New Years Eve 1999 the lights in MGM (sorry Disney Studios) were awesome but that was a while ago and the crowds were unreal. I really want to go back and check the place around then but we decided to wait until next December. I think the plan now is to bank the 150 points from this year and book at the eleven month window for April 2009 vacation later this month and then book again for December 2009 vacation in January. We'll have enough points 300 to book a studio for a week for both at BWV and still bank some points for 2010. You'll have to let us know what you think of WDW in December I hear all sorts of great things except for the crowds but I'm used to that.

Don't go after the 22nd of December. We went last year and the crowds were unreal. We got there the 20th and it was fine, around the 23rd it started getting really crowded. After Christmas it was just wall to wall people. I loved Christmas there but decided after dealing with the crowds we would only go during the first 2 weeks in December. Even if it meant taking DD out of school.:rolleyes1

We have gone the second week of December two years in a row. First year at POP, second year at CBR. We enjoyed both a lot. There is nothing like WDW at Christmas!

We went last year as well - Dec 16-21st and I agree with colonialtinker - don't go any later. We could feel the increase starting on the 21st. We also got to experience lots of CM's getting trained for the holidays - made for a couple of interesting bus rides!

We stayed at WL and absolutely loved it. Not that I'm biased at all (see signature :rotfl: ). The Mt. theme gives more of a Christmas feel for us. Here's a link to a thread with some great photos from WL at Xmas. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1717127&page=8We (post #109) We also visited GF and CR and although I meant to go to others, never made it. You have to at least stop at the GF and see the gingerbread house. From what I understand all the resorts get done up in their theme and the parks are just amazing too - esp. MK. I also recommend the candlelight processional w/dinner. It's a wonderful event. :santa:

If I do see anything on line I will post the link so you know I'm not nuts.

Glad everything is OK. And who here would think you are nuts, others maybe, but not us.

You all can be Amys wingman anytime!
THEY CAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:dance3: :woohoo:  :cheer2: :yay: :cool1: :rockband: party: :rainbow: :flower1:

Congrats!!! It is about time.

So much easier to contemplate these life changes, since Mom is at peace. We get to worry most about Dad. Their 62nd anniverary is next week. My wife and I will spend the day with them on Sunday - taking in lunch.

You are in our thoughts, I hope it is a good day for you all.

Guess what! Guess what!!! I have talked DH into going to WDW in Dec. ... Any suggestions?

Anytime in december until the week of Christmas. Much more crowed the last two weeks.

Hey HR, The Orlando commercial with the saon Time Machine just came on.

MIL in so not alot of time this weekend, but did get a bit of pixie dust in. DD and I went to Doorway to Dreams last night on our way out of the mall here. The guide there could not have been nicer. I CAN NOT WAIT TO GO TO WDW.

Happy Mothers day to all you moms!

Good morning all. Happy Mother's Day to the very nice mom's on board! I've been MIA the last couple of days and had some time before church today to catch up.

Just a qucik note to say Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful moms on our thread. I hope you have a great day celebrating how much you mean to your families. Us dads certainly know where we'd be without you! :worship: :worship:

Have a blessed one. :flower3:

Congratulations to all those who have moved up to the next list.

And thanks to all of you for hugs and prayers directed in this direction.

Happy Mother's Day to all Mom's!
We're off for a Mother's Day brunch. There will be 9 of us.
DH told me I could buy whatever I wanted for Mother's Day. I bought AP's ;) Since we'll be going at least 3 times within the next year it made since. We are under a flood watch here for this afternoon, we could see up to 3" of rain :scared1: Since the ground is already saturated I am planning on having a flood in my backyard.
Gotta get!

I got a Happy Mom's Day from you all before my own!! But they are still in bed and getting showers. We really celebrated yesterday. Collegeman and DIL came over and spent the day. We watched OSU beat Cornell - best present of all!!! We had dinner and then built a fire in the fire pit. What a nice day.

It is lacrosseing with major cheering this am!! Downpour!!! We are going to finish cleaning the house. I have lots of homework.

We would head to WDW Dec. 12 - 14 or so. I found amazing airfare on Airtran. Anyone ever fly them. The reviews seem good. I have a $25 coupon for Mom's Day that I would have to use today to book or lose. That means tickets would be $325 for 2. We also have a ff ticket to use so it could actually be around $250 for 2 if I use that. I am still researching. I can't believe DH agreed - normally he gets all freaky if we take too many trips. I would love to stay at WL so we will see. It really depends on the total cost of the trip. If we can do it pretty reasonably, we will probably go. If not, I may decide to wait till 09.

Happy Mother's Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Off to getting 4 children ready for Church and then brunch.......
Catch you all later!
