Now I'm Worried...

I'll be there in three days so I'll let you know when we get back.
:cool1:  :yay: :dance3: :woohoo: :goodvibes :cool1:  :yay: :cheer2:

We're back! The resort was AWESOME! NO complaints at all! We didn't get any towel animals but we did get lanyard pins!!!!!
The pool was awesome! The food court was never so crowded like others have mentioned during our stay. The most we waited for food was about 5 minutes. Even my food allergy son's food was prepared very quickly.

Check in was so quick and our room was ready. NO lines. NO waiting.

We stayed there just a week ago. It may have only been one night, but I would really like to stay at FQ again, and sure we will. :lmao:
We both really liked FQ. The food court is small. However I don't think anyone will starve going there to eat. ;)
Go and enjoy!

I just got back from POFQ today and I can assure you that the mousekeeping was just fine!

We stayed at several disney resorts and I never had an issue. Again you will generally only hear about bad experiences. In my life I've only ever blasted one hotel and it was over a serious issue that we couldn't get any resolution on. Probably never happened to another guest but in posting I was hoping to warn folks.

Do like I do and I'm sure a lot of folks do. Check in. Take a walk and look at your room. Make sure its clean, meets your standards or expectation. Keep your expectations reasonable. Then grab your belongings and move in for your duration. If its dirty or doesn't meet your needs go back to the front desk, tell them what is wrong and request they move you right then and there. I've had to do this at hotels before but again...NEVER at Disney.

I think out of anywhere I don't worry as much about things when I stay on disney property because they do tend to go out of there way to make things magical for there guests. Make sure you let us know how your visit goes as I'm at that resort in another 6 weeks and am looking forward to it:banana:

We stayed at POFQ in Oct 07 and I've already been informed by DH and DS that they will NEVER stay anywhere else, lol!

We love POFQ! Never had a problem with Mousekeeping - or anything else there. It's well maintained - relax and have a fantastic trip.:)

I am so glad that you had a great trip! See how all that worrying was for nothing (thank goodness). We love POFQ as well and had a wonderful stay there and would and will go back again.

All the resorts, of all levels get complaints. It is so much more fun to post a bad review than a good one. And while I don't discount bad things happen, sometimes I think its human nature that the bad story just gets bigger and more awful as time goes by. And if you read Tripadvisor, posters over there have brought complaining to a whole new level!

My favorite complaints or negative posts regarding resorts are from posters who have never stayed there. They went over in 1997 to see a friend who was there and hated it so to this day its still awful and they would NEVER stay there. Love those.:rolleyes1

we have never stayed there either, but my brother and family did. we went to see it and have lunch/snacks. it was really nice,. i would stay there if we could. we have stayed at music and movies, prob. 10 times.. and honestly we had a GREAT trip each time. and look at how many people say NEVER go to a value. so , like i said we have had great trips and memories at all stars. i hope you all have a great trip. relax and enjoy............

We just got back yesterday! Did you enjoy your trip? Silly question huh?

Yep, silly question! :wizard: I had a blast! The only bad part was leaving. And the fact that I'm not eating beignets for breakfast this morning. :sad2:

Yeah, we are staying at POR. I was really hoping to find money in the budget to upgrade to a deluxe, but with the price of EVERYTHING going up, we are just lucky to be going at all at this point. :scared1: The horror stories I have been reading are so bad that I decided I am not going to open or read the POR threads anymore. I am not cancelling my trip, I can't afford to upgrade, I don't want to go offsite and lose my free dining..so I am stuck there. No use getting all worked up about it! :thumbsup2

Don't worry. POR is our favorite resort we even like it better than WL. Wait until you go and decide for yourself. I think you will love it!

Seven resort stays over the last 9 years, only had one problem and they really fixed it. Resort was overbooked, despite reservation made a year in advance they had no room for us. They upgraded us to AKL at no charge from a moderate!

The thing I like about it is that it is a moderate that has access to DTD by boat. I don't believe any of the other moderates are linked by any other transportation than bus.

It is a beautiful resort ... relax and enjoy.

To be honest, I always find check-in and settling into a room stressful, regardless of where I am.

Don't forget to catch Bob Jackson's show at the RiverRoost Lounge ... he's one of those hidden gems at WDW. We always make it a point to see his show even when we stay at Fort W or at one of the values!

You're going to have a great time!!!

We stayed at POFQ in January 2007 and loved it. Mousekeeping was the best we ever had, DS loved all the towel animals. The pool is great, loved the boat ride to POR and DTD. We loved eating at Boatwrights. Everyone that worked at both POFQ and POR we encountered were really nice. I would never to hesitate to stay at this resort. I would not worry about a thing. Go with a positive attitude and form your own opinion.

Never base a decision on what you read. Last year people had me scared to stay at CB and I loved it better than CS. It will be great do not worry!

Dont worry I've never had a problem at POFQ and besides despite what you read you should try everything once b/c you never if you'll like it based off of what other people have said about it, so Hakuna Matata and have fun :thumbsup2

we were there in May 2008...loved,loved,loved it. Great theming, wonderful CM's, good food at Sasscagoula (love those beignets...totally addicted in 6 days) Mousekeeping was outstanding...towel animals about every other day (no kids with us) Transportation (bus & boat) was great. Pool is awesome...grounds are gorgeous. You're gonna love it.:thumbsup2

We have friends that just spent there first time down there in May too and loved the resort. After seeing how nice it is we have decided to stay there too when we go in April. I just wish I had considered this resort a long time ago. I could have enjoyed it sooner.... instead of staying at the Pop:scared1:
