Now a Trip Report!!! Will We Stay or Will We Go? A Thanksgiving Pre-Trip/Trip Report

Last loads of laundry are in the washer/dryer, dishes are washed, sheets changed and trash cans emptied. Only took me an hour this morning to get snacks from Wal-Mart, go to the ATM and fill up the van.

Clay just finished packing the van and now I'm sitting here going crazy because I want to go NOW! We're going to split up to pick the girls up. Both schools are equi-distance to where we live so while I'm picking up Hannah, Clay will be picking up Alison. We're going to meet up back here at the house and we'll be on our way!!!!

Got a couple of texts from jill throughout the day.


By 4:21 they already had 2 potty stops in less than 1 hour.

At 7:50 they got caught in construction traffic in Savannah and were eating at Cracker Barrel.
Stopping to get gas.


I hope they don't get in too late.

Thanks for the update. I think they were planning on arriving around midnight. Hopefully it won't be too far off from that.

Got a couple of texts from jill throughout the day.

Tell her to please give me a picture of the big AK tree. I love that tree!

And tell her to have a magical, wonderful, very good time!

They arrived around 11:30pm right on time.

They must have made up some time on the second half of the trip.

Sat brings EPCOT. They went to the park around 11 am.
Via Napoli was a 10 min walk up.

Pizza and waiters were yummy.


Beautiful weather.

Apparently Hannah thought they were in Britian instead of Italy.
Everyone including the cute waiter thought it was funny.

First I'd like to thank Poolrat for graciously agreeing to keep ya'll updated.

I'm currently sitting by the pool while Hannah is swimming. She's done nothing but talk about going swimming since we pulled into the parking lot. She is now very happy. It was a bit chilly earlier due to clouds. I'm also thinking that in addition to being the hottest park that AK can be the coldest when the wind is blowing! It's much warmer here at Pop. Clay and Alison have gone to Target to get Clay some new tennis shoes.

So far we've had a wonderful time. Crowds are manageable and alot of the attractions have either been walk on or very short wait times. The longest wait we had was when we let Hannah and Alison ride PW by themselves. The posted wait time was 30 minutes, the CM said it was more like 20 minutes. I think the CM was wrong. Dinner at Yak & Yeti tonight was AWESOME!

Tomorrow is another Epcot. We'll do RD for FW, have lunch at Le Cellier and I think we'll come back for an afternoon break and let the girls swim. I may do some laundry. Then back to Epcot for dinner at AkershuS and more WS.

MeMom: I got several pictures of the Tree of Life for you. It was absolutely beautiful tonight as we were walking out of the park. I took some pictures of it and I hope at least a couple of them are keepers. We also stopped and had a Photopass pic taken with the tree lit up behind us.

MeMom: I got several pictures of the Tree of Life for you. It was absolutely beautiful tonight as we were walking out of the park. I took some pictures of it and I hope at least a couple of them are keepers. We also stopped and had a Photopass pic taken with the tree lit up behind us.

My fault completely - I meant the big AK Christmas tree....
if you go back to Animal Kingdom, that is.
That thing has the coolest ornaments on it.

I bet the Tree of Life was beautiful all lit up as you walked out. I will look forward to seeing those, too. I hope that Photopass captures you all just beautifully and captures that moment and that feeling, as well. I just love looking back at our trip pictures and remembering the feeling of each moment.

Part of that was my fault. I texted ToL and did not even think abou the Christmas tree. I will try to text that to her if she is not on line again.

Today was EPCOT
not sure if they actually made rope drop but I got a text
when Jill was ready to get on TT at 9:21.

Weather was back to sunny and warm 83 or so.

Lunch was at LeCellier and another great meal.

Took a break at POP for some swimming and laundry.

Part of her text has" left my kttw in the room this morning still rode tt and have 8 Fp for Soarin".

Can't wait to hear how that happened.

No worries! I got some pictures of that too! Also, got a Photopass photo there as we were walking in. The photographer was fun so I'm hoping they turn out good.

We're also going back to AK tomorrow after breakfast at Boma so will get more pictures then.

WCC was very good. Clay and I shared the skillet. We were too stuffed to eat dessert. Got there early enough to walk around and explore the resort. When Hannah saw the pool and realized that there was a slide she said "I'm jealous. They have a slide." 8 years old and already experiencing resort envy! She and Alison both wanted to know why we weren't staying there. Uhhhh...it's called money honey! LOL Hannah loved the Poly too. I can only imagine what she's going to say about AKL tomorrow!

Got a great video of Hannah dancing at the dance party in MK last night. Can't wait to share it with ya'll! Rode Astro Orbiter and was thisclose to seeing the fireworks while riding.

DTD with Earl for breakfast. A good breakfast for some serious shopping.
Over to DHS but all FP for TSM gone by 11:43.
We have a solidier down- a bum knee is holding someone back a bit.

BnB before lunch at Sci Fi
Sci fi does not dissapoint. Over to HISTK playground to digest and then IJ for the 4:30 show.


I am trying to be general as not to spoil the TR when she gets home.

Sounds like they are having a great time- except fot the knee ( it is NOT one of the kids) and having great weather to boot.
