Now a Trip Report!!! Will We Stay or Will We Go? A Thanksgiving Pre-Trip/Trip Report

Woke up a lot earlier than I thought I would after that long drive. May be because I slept more on the way home than I normally would have. I usually do the majority of the driving but this time Clay drove more than I did. After getting my coffee, it was time to unload the van. Here's what I call the aftermath:

Thank goodness we drove! Can you imagine bringing all that stuff back on a plane???!! I was very glad I'd done the laundry on Friday. I think I only had a couple of loads to wash and they were done in no time. We all had a nice, lazy day before easing back in the real world the next day. I know Alison went back to her Mom's at some point that day but I can't remember what time.

On to the souveniers!

Here's what 32 snack credits look like:

Hannah finally ate the last sucker a couple of weeks ago! I forgot they were in the cabinet above the refrigerator and found them one day.

When I bought the t-shirts at Everything Pop, I qualified for either the throw or the bag (I think that was the other option!). I picked the throw:

I love sitting wrapping up in this when I'm sitting on the couch reading a book!

It amazes me that a man who isn't a Disney fanatic like his wife will not only buy, but wear, shirts from Disney World!

So...that was our Thanksgiving trip in a nutshell.

We had a really great trip this time. It was nice that it was a longer trip as it allowed us to go to our favorite parks....Epcot and Animal Kingdom...more than once. I really loved getting to explore and see more of Animal Kingdom.

I would definitely go back during Thanksgiving again. Without the Give-A-Day/Get-A-Day vouchers we would have had to do a lot more rope drops so if we go back during Thanksgiving again it will be a much different trip.

The girls still talk about things that we did during our trip and it makes me happy to know that they have such great memories. Just yesterday Hannah was saying "I want to go back to Walt Disney World!" Me too honey...me too.

Well, other than the leaving Disney World part, that was a nice ending.
I know it felt good, though, to get out of the car and crash in your bed. I don't like the car rides any more. I am too spoiled to flying and being there - and being home - in less than two hours.

Thanks for sharing the entire awesome trip with us. We've had two Thanksgiving trips - one just before and one right during Thanksgiving week. It really gets us pumped up for the holiday excitement of December.

I am very glad you got to share that family time and that the girls have very fond memories of the trip.

You stayed in EPCOT until 6pm?!?!?!? and then drove home ?!?!?!

When we drove we left at 1pm and still did not get home until 11pm after dropping off the girls. It is a long drive.

There have been a lot of swim meets lately so i am sure you are seeing that traffic. As for the DNC.... I think I may take vacation so I don't have to deal with it.

When I was growing up my family didn't take vacations. One, because we couldn't afford it and two my Daddy didn't feel like he could leave the congregation to their own devices. I'm glad that I'm able to do that with our girls and have those memories.

I had a very nice day. They left me alone! Clay and the girls took my van to the car wash and got the outside clean then brought it home and cleaned the inside. They did a great job!

Well, it was about 6:00 when I was filling up the tank after leaving Epcot so it was probably around 5:30 or so when we actuall left the park but it was about 6:00 or a little after by the time we got on the road. We got caught in a traffic jam so that took up alot of time. It was just a long day all the way around!

I will at the Aquatic Center Fri night and then only sat and Sun during the day. The event starts Thursday evening. I need to get 3 sessions in so I will spend my weekend volunteering again.

No daytime for me this year I have to be at the center Friday during the day.


Glad you had a nice Mother's Day!!!! Sounds a bit like mine- quiet.
