Who am I again?
I'm not anyone. As I said, I'm new, and as evident by my question-- the "vibe" seems pretty exclusionary, and a tad self centered.

I would like to think that it isn't, I would have loved for the answer to my question to be "no, we're normally really pleasant" but your response is to ask who I am... like you're the cool popular kids in school and I just drank from your cool water fountain.

Most people are on here. You just ran into a thread of people really bummed out about not getting a discount and now learning that the crowd during the time of year we thought was low crowd season is going to be high. Welcome though.

My point is that we are very loose and fun in here, while you come in like some high and mighty know it all. Go with it or find some other place to park.

Big Thunder Mountain is closed during our visit-- I very seriously considered moving the trip because of it... so we NEED Everest and 7DMT to be open.

I hope you don't have magic jinxing powers.

I could deal with paying rack if we have to. It's the jump in the crowd calculator that really bothers me. I hate walking amongst the lemmings.

Opposite here. I don't mind the crowds at all. Since we have to work around DDs school schedule we always have to go at the same time everyone else does. The crowds never bother us but no way I'm paying full price. If discounts don't come out for Nov we won't be going in Nov.

I don't see how talking down to people is loose and fun.
And I'm certainly confused how me asking questions and announcing I'm new comes off as a "know it all"

...but thanks for your input, I'll try to make sure I'm less high and mighty next time I'm new somewhere and I get asked "who are you?"

I hear you. It is closed during my trip also. If I have magic jinxing powers I hope it works on what I asked for at an earlier time in this thread of a 50% discount and crowds levels at 1 to 3 my entire trip.

This is our last 2 week trip (I know, first world problems). My kids will both be in high school and will not be able to miss like this again so we will be working around their schedule. I will have to learn to deal with the crowds too. That is the only reason I am ok with rack rates for this trip.

Please don't take offense at some of the recent comments on this particular thread. I think what was meant is if you had been following this thread for the last couple of weeks you would have seen that we have all been waiting for the late fall discounts to come out for a while now. Since we are STILL waiting we are all starting to get a bit stir crazy and have been trying to entertain ourselves and each other while we wait. I have found over the last couple of years that sarcasm does not come across at times when you are typing instead of talking So welcome to the crazy bunch that really, really wants a discount!!!!

That's what I thought, that's the kind of answer I expected. I understand the frustration and how it manifests itself in whining about the park, but to have someone tell me to "find somewhere else to park" is... I don't even have a word. It's not depressing, childish, ridiculous, petulant, not any of those really, it's just... petty. Maybe that's the word.

Either way, I'll be here along with you all, checking disney's site at 6:30, checking here for hourly updates, my trip is booked either way, but I'd love to have a chance to spread my money out more, or get a refund would be swell too.

And no rd and a higher crowds isn't the end of the world but it still stinks.

Anyone willing to let me know what the crowd predictions are for Dec 6-11? We will be going at that time regardless because it is my daughter's first birthday, but with all this talk of higher predicted crowds, I'm really curious now.

not end of the world but a little less Magical for all of us and a little less we could spread around to other things if we had the discount

I got the same email. I'm wondering if the huge jump was a mistake. Of course now I completely changed my plans and dining reservations because of the increase!!

yes. We're there the week before Thanksgiving week, and we had changes again today on the MK crowd levels. Still no room discount though!
