November/December 2008?

So my next question for those of you who are WDW veterans is how is the 1st week of Decmeber going to be for us as far as crowds go?

When we went the crowds were VERY managable in 2006.

Oh and how will the weather be during that time of year???

I had the kids put on shorts and t-shirts and wear a sweatshirt in the mornings. By noon they took off the sweat shirts, by evening they came back on. We went Nov 26-Dec2, 2006. We came in on the tail of a cold front. We actually wore our long pants the first few days. I packed pants that zip off and turn into shorts. Those were very useful on our trip. I have a boy who is freezing when it's 70degrees.

Our 1st trip in August 2006 the humidity almost killed me.....we are from the west coast California to be exact and deal with heat but not humidity like that and I am hoping the humidity will not be as bad in December???

I don't recall much humidity. June and Sept. the humidity was aweful. Not in Dec though.

We do Disneyland all the time and have APs but I would rather do WDW all the time and since our first trip there I have been trying very hard to get my hubby to agree on a move to Florida just so we can be close to all the magic....I tell him I will get a job or 2 with Diseny when we get there.....LOL Funny thing is he is now really considering a move to Florida....hmmmm I hope this December pushes him over the edge and we get to move there!!!! Don't get me wrong I love Disneyland but IMHO Disneyland can't hold a candle to WDW:cloud9:
Anyhow great to find you all here planning away for November and December. My next move is going to be to start a pre-trip report.
Ok well I guess I will say goodbye for now but as long as you all do not mind I will be back.

:welcome: have fun here with us!

We're going December 4 - 13 and staying at Pop Century. We booked our airfare last night so it's official! :cool1:

Have lurked 4ver, but finally joined. Congrats Michelle. Going Nov 5-12 at DCR, am hearing great things about weather/crowds in Nov. Not sure about Christmas decorations though.

We went the day after Thanksgiving and the decorations were up. Not sure if that was the official day or not.

We are going November 8-15 and staying at the Wilderness Lodge. I can not wait!!:cool1: :cool1:

Have you been there before in Dec ?
This is our first time in Dec, and we are going to stay at PORS,I'm a little worried about the POP Warner group.

We are going 12/19 - 12/27th staying at Pop. We will travel with a Grand Gatherings of 19! Consisting of parents, kids, in-laws and aunt and uncles.

I think I'm going to have to cancel my Dec trip due to some roofing issues...

Hang in there, maybe you won't have to. Fingers crossed.

I'm not, it's a great time to go! They are only there for like 3 days.

:flower3: Thank you. I'm so upset, hubby is saying "maybe, maybe, maybe". We were going to use our tax refund to pay for our trip and pay some bills, but now we don't know what's going to happen. All of a sudden water started streaming from my bedroom closet, which happens to be on the other wall of the bathroom, which has a leaky skylight. But of course my nagging on getting the skylight fixed like A YEAR AGO didn't work so now we have bigger issues. We checked the roof and some of the plywood under the shingles is warped and we have to replace the skylight and flashing, etc., etc.

I feel like I'd rather know now whether we're still going or not, but I'm hoping for the best.

We will be spending 4 days at the Poly Dec 20-24,then doing a 4 day cruise on the Wonder for Christmas. I know, the crowds are going to be terrible. Our twins are in high school, and DH works in a field where he can't take vacation time during summer. Christmas break is the only time we can all go. We did ok in 2000, so I'm sure we will manage this year too. It's our first stay at the Poly, and are excited to be on the monorail. Last visit we stayed at the CBR, and loved it.

I'm soooo jealous ;) ~ enjoy, have a safe and magical trip! :wizard:
