I'll be in Disney World in December.
I have been every December for about the last 10 years or so.
Usually end up at WDW around the 1st to second weekend after Thanksgiving. That seems to be a great time to go with crowds being a bit on the slow side.
We usualy go for 3-4 nights (seeing as how I'll be back in Jan for the Marathon weekend). We typically have been staying a Pop Century to stay away from the All-Stars due to the Pop Warner stuff.

We too are considering Dec. Either early Dec, or Late. 12-30-08 will be one year since our DD was placed in our arms FOREVER, so it is a very special day for us. ALSO an expensive time in WDW..... so no decisions yet. Just starting to look into things. Leaning towards the contemporary, but considering Coronado as well.

Have you tried to call for reservations yet? I called and got reservations for Dec 7-14 and asked if there were any codes attached to my name. They checked next to my name and sure enough there was a 40% code off code for the room. We booked the Poly and saved a ton of $. We still added on the MYW plus hopper plus dining. We cant wait to go! It is a great time of the year to go,and even if you arent there on the exact adoption date, you can still celebrate it while you are there. I did that with my son too. If you tell disney ahead of time, they will make it very special for you and your family. Tell reservations and they will note it on your reservation and stop at town hall in MK and they will give you a button, and if you mention it when you are eating, especially at a TS meal, sometimes they bring you extra deserts or a special something. Whatever you can swing, just do it! You will remember it forever!

I did that first to just hold my dates at the resort. We got 20% off first with the AAA discount. I was told, there are only so many rooms available with that discount. Then I would wait until something better came along and just change my ressie then and we did get that 40% code . At least I had my dates held for me that way.

I would stay at the wilderness lodge , the gf , the Contemporary Resort , the
Polynesian Resort they are close to the Magic Kingdom park and are on the monrail and not far from other parks

We did kinda the same thing with dates and resorts, we got that code and I had to make it all work.
