to only preferred, standard and king bed rooms.

With most Disney resorts I book now, the ground floor is what I request. I generally get it. May come with a charge for a request in the future now?

I was just going to say the same thing. These are all specific categories and not a request.

I do know that the updated Aruba and part of Jamaica at CBR to now be considered preferred so if you want those buildings, you need to book preferred and not standard.

My speculation here would be they will be moving away from taking the level of requests they have allowed.

IMO, I think they have a lot of guests who get upset when it’s not granted, even though it is always stated it’s not guaranteed.

I don’t ever see Disney charging for something unless it’s guaranteed.

But maybe something like the cruise lines do for upgrades? . You put in the request and agree to pay a certain charge if the request is granted?

Even then, though, I think it’s better for Disney to have complete control of room assignments.
