November 8, 2008 7 Night Eastern 11/8/2008 11-8-2008 FIRST POST UPDATED ON 10/16/08

Well, did a little research on the DIS :surfweb: and now I think that I can handle putting together the list for our gift exchange. :scared:

So ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GIFT EXCHANGE:

Please PM me with:

Stateroom number,

Who is in the room (names or DD, DS whatever you prefer)

Ages (no need for adults, but the children please)

If you have a specific day that you wish to distribute, please let me know. I will try to stagger the gifts so that we get something each day.

Can you send an attachment on a PM? I never tried to, but I am thinking that you must be able to.

A week or more b4 we sail, I will send everyone the list and map. I will also keep updating everyone on the number of staterooms, adults, kids with (age ranges).

Now I need to make my FISH EXTENDER!!!

Did I miss anything?

Thant sounds great. Thank you for doing this. It sounds like a lot of fun. I'm very excited for my DS

Thank you for being willing to take on this job. We will all need this list prior to cruising so we will know how many gifts we will need to bring with us. I suggest one gift per stateroom.

Here is a picture of our fish extender from previous cruise and our cruise logo.

I will try to give monthly updates starting the end of July, that way we will know how much stuff to bring :goodvibes .

That is great! Is that out of plastic canvas? I used to do that alot. My hobbies change all the time. [/COLOR]

This is the plastic squares. I used to use it so much but have gotten totally away from it. I thought I sent two pictures with the message, but the picture of the fish extender got lost some how so I will try it again! We will just have to change the room number.

On our last cruise we had our "Meet and Greet" in the Promonade Lounge on Sunday at 9:00am. Everyone just showed up at that time. We had name tags in our lanyards that we had preordered. We had also posted family pictures so everyone had a chance to somewhat "get accquainted" before we got onboard.

Just a thought!:surfweb:

My mom and I will be joining you on the cruise. It will be my 2nd cruise, but first with DCL, and my mom's first cruise. After the cruise I'm meeting my dad in WDW for a week at the BCV. :woohoo: I've never taken a 2 week vacation before. I can't wait, but after reading all of your posts for the last 2 days, I deel like I'm WAY behind on my planning.
We just booked air at an outragous rate, but haven't booked a room for the night befor or our car. I haven't bought anything :scared1: except an over the door shoe organizer (I have been reading the rest of the forum as well). I haven't even thought about door signs. I guess I better start getting busy!

Welcome, Fran & Mary. You are in for a real treat because no body does it better than Disney.

You will have a great cruise and a great vacation after as well.

Looking forward to meeting you both!

That sounds great, but could we maybe do it at 10:00?? :goodvibes
I have a feeling that we will be up late on our first night and will not be coherent until at least 9:30! :drinking1 :lmao:

Welcome aboard Fran and Mary! It's great to see another Mother and Daughter going together!

As my mom and I are just doing a Mother and Daughter trip too! If you don't mind me asking how old are you and your mother? I am 28, but will be 29 once the cruise. My mom is 57, but will be 58 once on the cruise. It would be great to find someone in our age range that maybe we could sit with at meal times!

We're really close in age to you guys... I'll be 33 in about 1.5 months and my mom turns 61 a week after the cruise. I was hoping for a Palo brunch to celebrate. I'll be in WDW with by dad on her actual b-day, so I thought it would be nice to celebrate on the Magic.
If I remember correctly you guys have early dinner, and we have late seating. We both are more used to eating a little later. We would love to maybe have lunch or something else. Maybe we could do an excursion together. We haven't decided on any yet, though we are going through DCL, and nothing too strenuous.
We'll have to figure something out....

We are interested and will send yo a PM when we figure how many of our staterooms want to participate. I just wanted to let you know there is interest here.

I just stopped by to say hello, welcome all the new comers and check to see what is new.

We are in full swing packing and getting organized for our cruise next month, but I did not want to miss out on any planning that is going on here.

Is there a set time for the meet? We have done the promenade louge several times for meets and deck 10. I think the lounge is easier and gets my vote, if there is a vote.:thumbsup2 We have also done the meet before the muster and sail away party (just for options)

Wow, we are really close in age. How cool is that! You are right we have set up to be on early dinner time. That would be great to excursion together or have lunch together too. We have never been on the 7 day eastern cruise before, so it might be kind of nice and fun to walk around like St.Thomas/St. Johns( and see the sights and do some shopping) with someone else too. Once it gets closer we could set up something.

That is very cool, that your mom will get to be at Disney World the day of her birthday! I did that for my birthday back in 2000( the month of Sept.) and was the best birthday ever, as we also did the 3 day Disney Cruise too! You have to make sure she gets one of the birthday buttons to wear in the parks, it's so much fun to have Cast Members and other Guests wish "Happy Birthday" too you.

By the way my name is Sarah and my moms name is Susan( but she likes to go by Susie).

I think we are looking at Sunday in the promenade lounge at 10ish. No final plans as of yet.
