November 5th 2011 Eastern on the Magic

My favorite Character is Goofy. Love to use his voice to point out rude and inconsiderate people. "Well Golly, I guess the rest of were standing in here in line! I hate to see someone throw you out that window..." Funny how people see that from a guy 6'5 300lbs and walk to the back of the line.

DD and DW are both Minnie with a close second to Rapunzel.

My favorite Disney Movie growing up Pete's Dragon, and Robin Hood (The fox version, but I don't know if it was a Disney movie).

My DD favorite Disney movie is Cars, and Rapunzel.
My DW favorite movies "Lion King"

The envelope from DCL wasnt documents :sad2:
It was a booklet that has the answers to many basic questions a new crusier may have. Nothing new for us.

But it was fun to get it. Plus there was a second card inside that said Welcome Back:goodvibes
I expect the documents in about 2 weeks,

kathy

I wouldnt walk to the back of the line, I would RUN to the back of the line:lmao:

I forgot about Robin Hood, I loved that movie too.

Kristi,
I use to have a tiny ceramic toothpick holder when I was a little kid that was Jiminy Cricket. I have no idea where he came from, but I still had him up to 5 years ago, I may still have him packed away or he could be lost with all the moves over the years.
I think If i still had him and if he was in good condition he would probably be worth something to a collector.
Guess i should look for him sometime.

Kathy

You should look for ole' Jiminy. Go ahead and look that up on ebay and see what one is selling for. I haven't checked but I bet it would inspire you to look! Now I'm inspired to start collecting some Jiminy items. I like his voice so much too. I'm going to try to find those Jiminy films online, that I remember playing on old reels as a kid. If I find them, I will try to post the link.

My favorite Disney classic movie is also "Lady and the Tramp". I didn't see too many movies as a kid but I think I went to the theater for that one. DH bought me an online card for Valentines Day one year that was Lady and the Tramp themed. I still have it saved in my inbox and its been at least 2 years. Several times we've eaten at Tony's at WDW on the porch and it feels so romantic. I'm also partial to Cocker Spaniel dogs. I got one at 5 and she got hit by a car and died when I was 19. Unreal she lived that long. I now own a blond Cocker named Ginger that I got in 2001. Maybe I can post a picture of her sometime!

Favorite non-classic Disney movie is Pirates of the Caribbean. Can't pick which one is favorite, I love them all.

Hysterical!!!!! :rotfl2: :lmao:

Greg just called and he said we have a large envelope from Disney cruise line in our P.O. Box today.
Must be our cruise documents already:cool1:

They usually dont send them out this soon but thats all I can think it would be..:confused3

Anybody else get something from DCL today???

I will post tonight what it is.

Kathy

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if the cruise documents come soon, though. Last time I was guarantee status, I had my docs around 10 days after receiving a stateroom number!

Ok, here is a question of the day:

What is your favorite classic Disney movie, and non-classic Disney movie (more recent movie)?

For me, there are so many, but for the classic, I am a sap, and I just love the movie Lady and the Tramp... :)

For the more recent, there are several I love, but I really love the National Treasure movies. I love the more "mystery/action" type.

There are SO many more I love, but I'd say those are the ones I could watch over again and not be bored.

What about you all???

-Kathy

HHHHmmmm... Because of my age - I refuse to count Beauty and the Beast as a classic - but it is my favorite!

I read this post, and ran out to our mailbox to see if we got our cruise docs, but no cruise docs for us yet. I bet they'll come soon!!!

Kathy

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who ran away from the keyboard! :rotfl:

Thanks to everyone who is sending rain. We don't have it in DFW yet, but the 10 day forecast is showing a chance of rain on 10/6! Sadly, it looks like that is the day I will need to leave town for a business trip.

For those who are renting cars - I was just able to book an economy on priceline for $18 + tax (pickup 11/4, return 11/5 to MCO). We're going to cancel our hotel reservations and book a DVC room on points, then drive back to the airport to pick up DCL transport from there. We'll be able to leave much earlier than if we booked DCL transport from a Disney hotel...

Did anyone else get a credit from DCL? I just got a credit to my credit card for $15.40? The credit posted to the credit card that i used to rebook with onboard, and not the one i paid the rest of my cruise on (my Disney visa)!

I guess that means a couple of extra Konk Koolers for me :woohoo:

That is inline with what a couple of us have gotten in refund... I'll take it but not sure where it came from "Tax Refund".

We got a small refund too last month. It happens sometimes, usually has to do with the diesel tax for their fuel tax. They charge a base amount that they know will cover their costs then if their prices go down for this cruise legally they have to refund the difference that you paid originally.

Enjoy, it is normal for this to happen with the way prices change almost daily.

Happy wednesday everyone,
we are half way through another week already:goodvibes

Nobody posted a question for today yet, so I will post another one.

If you have cruised before, what are you looking forward to the most on this cruise?

If this is your first cruise, after all your research , what are you looking forward to the most on board?

Now that i need to answer it, I think its much harder than I thought.:lmao:

I love so many things on board its hard to get down to one. But since we have been so many times I think just having relaxing time with my husband where we can just take our time and not worry about lifes pressures for a week.
2nd is meeting everyone at the meet!! I always look forward to meeting everyone on the threads.:cloud9:

Ok, now you guys answer.

Kathy

Today I am working on my spring cleaning around here.
I know what your thinking, boy is she late, its not spring its fall.

Well I am not late, I am early for next spring:thumbsup2

Yesterday I got through stacks of receipts and papers. Not my favorite job. Today is checking out more kitchen cupboards. I did a couple yesterday and threw out a ton of old stuff.:headache:
Oh well, once my cupboards are more empty I can have fun buying stuff to fill them up again.

Back in a bit, I am not a constant worker. I am addicted to this thread so i must visit 4 or 5 times a day. I must get my Disney fix each day.:goodvibes

Kathy

I am most looking forward to seeing my kids experience new things. Also, since I have been in seminary we haven't had a family vacation since before my kids were born and I can't wait to get away for almost 2 weeks.

Having been on many cruises and this ship once before I am just looking forward to getting back on the ship and to see the kids expressions when we pull into the cruise terminal and they realize they are going on the Disney ship. After that just enjoying some family and some adult relaxation time at the pool. Can't wait.

This is our 3rd DCL cruise, so I'm beginning to have "favorite" things.

Sitting on Deck 4 reading a book, playing Bingo with DH, and mostly, having someone else cook for the family (DD11 has a peanut allergy and we RARELY eat out).

That's kind of funny.... I always do "spring cleaning" in the fall.

In most parts of the country, your houses are closed up all winter and artificial air (the heater) causes things to get dusty and stuffy. Once you can open up the windows - you spring clean.

In Florida, it's the opposite. All summer the house is closed up and the air conditioner is running - never quite taking the humidity and stuffiness out of the air. By the time fall rolls around, we're desperate to get some fresh air and "spring cleaning" commences! :goodvibes

So, look at it this way, Kathy. You're not late or early. You just need to live in Florida. :rotfl2:

Carolyn

Carolyn,

We lived in Florida until 3 1/2 years ago when we moved to Oregon. Maybe that's when I got the habit of cleaning in the fall:goodvibes
Plus we are trying to arrange to move back by this spring.

So I guess I had better keep my cleaning habits:thumbsup2

I have to admit it is totally backwards out here from back there for doing things. You hit that nail right on the head;)
