November 5th 2011 Eastern on the Magic

Does anyone do pin trading. My DD doesn't but we thought we might try our hand at it this trip to DW, and DCL is suppose to trade something.

Yes, my DD does pin trading. We have a full lanyard worth from our last time at Disney, most of which she wants to keep. So I bought a 25 pin lot off of Ebay for $17 for her to trade with. She wants to keep a few of those too, but will trade most. We'll probably bring them all.

1. Who is your favorite Disney character?

My favorite character....I don't know. I'll actually have to think about this.

Isabella's used to be Mickey when she was little. We were actually just singing the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song in the car yesterday. Her 3rd bday was Mickey themed. I think now her favorite is Goofy.

DH...I'll have to ask him, I don't know. :confused3

Hi everyone!
It has been so long since I've posted, but I have been so busy with work and wedding planning.
So I got our itinerary back from DCL. The wedding will be at 4:00 on November 7th on Deck 7 aft. If all of you have time, come by deck 8 aft and watch from above. We would love to have eveyone!
So I booked a private exersion for all of our guests on St Martin. CPT Bob is going to take all 21 of us on a 54 foot catamaran to another island for snorkeling. Food and beverages are provided, so we should have a blast.
I booked the Dooblon snorkel for St. Thomas, parasailing and Family Beach Cabana for Castaway.
I am still interested in doing the FE's. I bought one per stateroom for my guests for their welcome bags. I will send Kathe the name, ages and stateroom numbers when I can pull them all together.
Hope to see everyone at the wedding!!

That sounds like a wonderful wedding!!! So are you planning on all your wedding guest rooms to participate in the FE? Can you estimate how many rooms that will be?

Sorry about the tardiness of the FE registration, but here is the list of my guests!

Good morning everyone,

Kathleen, I am so happy to see you posting. I was beginning to wonder if you were ill or had changed your cruise.

Today was suppose to rain all day long but now they are saying NO rain all week:cool1: I sent it to Texas and to Kathy in Seattle.;) They are use to rain in Seattle.

Kathy

So far it looks like Goofy is the most favorite character around here but there are still several people who havn't posted, so that may change.

:goofy::goofy::goofy:

I have added Kathleen's family friends to the FE list and will send out a revised list within 24 hours. So don't worry about writing it all down from her post.:thumbsup2

Kathy

Ketwinn: So excited about your wedding. I've been wondering, along with Kathy (Gma), about your plans. I am such a love bird so I am truly excited for you about the wedding.

Kathy Gma: I saw your question post last night but was too tired to post. My favorite character is Jiminy Cricket. I don't have one single item with him on it but he reminds me of my childhood (he narrated several educational shows that we watched in school) and I love his voice. DH likes Goofy, DS likes Mickey, and DD likes Tinkerbell. That was hard to narrow down a favorite because DS likes Jack Sparrow (even though he's not animated) and Stitch really good as well. And of course, I have Mickey everywhere in my home and office at work! :mickeyjum

I'm trying to think of a question to post. May leave that up to you Gma Kathy, I'm sure you can pick out better ones than I. :thumbsup2

Kristi

Kristi,
I use to have a tiny ceramic toothpick holder when I was a little kid that was Jiminy Cricket. I have no idea where he came from, but I still had him up to 5 years ago, I may still have him packed away or he could be lost with all the moves over the years.
I think If i still had him and if he was in good condition he would probably be worth something to a collector.
Guess i should look for him sometime.

Kathy

Ok here are a couple more photos I promised. The ones with the full length gown hasnt been sent to me yet so here are a couple others.

This is the wedding cake. It certainly looks nicer than the Hillbilly cake I posted last week:lmao: The top has the 2 dog statues which doesnt show up too well.

Here are the dogs that were on the cake.

My two sons at the reception. This was casual in a city park. Peter is on the left and will be on this cruise with us. Randy on the right is the groom.

Quiet afternoon here today.
I am trying to get 10 or more posts per day so i make my goal of 20,000 posts by cruise time. I have a week less due to leaving for Florida on Oct 28th.
So I will be posting a lot the next few days.

Who has a question of the day for today???

Kathy

WOO HOO!!

YIPPEE!!

Greg just called and he said we have a large envelope from Disney cruise line in our P.O. Box today.
Must be our cruise documents already:cool1:

They usually dont send them out this soon but thats all I can think it would be..:confused3

Anybody else get something from DCL today???

I will post tonight what it is.
He is saving it for me to open up and he wont be home for 4 more hours:headache:

Thats so long to wait AAHHGGG!!

Kathy

Ok, here is a question of the day:

What is your favorite classic Disney movie, and non-classic Disney movie (more recent movie)?

For me, there are so many, but for the classic, I am a sap, and I just love the movie Lady and the Tramp... :)

For the more recent, there are several I love, but I really love the National Treasure movies. I love the more "mystery/action" type.

There are SO many more I love, but I'd say those are the ones I could watch over again and not be bored.

What about you all???

We had the same weather forecast... was supposed to be cold and rain, but it's blue sky and probably high 60's! So, the rain got sent somewhere other than Seattle! :) Eric and I always joke about the weather forecast here in Seattle... they never get it right, but in the winter, they just always say, "chance of rain"... .... I could be a weather forecaster because I know in the winter here, there is always a chance of rain. :) But, then we joke and say that IF the weather forecasters always got the weather 100% correct all the time, that they would not be forecasting weather, but they'd be retired spending their millions they make on their ability to tell the future. :) :rotfl:

I read this post, and ran out to our mailbox to see if we got our cruise docs, but no cruise docs for us yet. I bet they'll come soon!!!

Great question.
Boy I have a list a mile long of Disney movies I love, so to pick a favorite is hard. But I will try.

Classic movie: Pete's Dragon

More modern movie:
Well I will break this into 2 categories. Animated and non animated, that makes it easier.

Animated: Toy Story series
Non animated: Its a tie between National Treasure movies or Pirates of the Caribbean. I just cant decide between the 2 of them.

Thanks for checking. I know they send them out in groups so when they do arrive everyone will have them within a couple days of each other.

Most of you are too young to remember, but I used to love the Hayley Mills movies based on the Mary Stewart books-Moonspinners was one of them. I remember feeling so grown up going to movies with my friends to see them. I think my favorite classic movie would be Snow White-loved those dwarves! :)

Sandy

I didn't read the post carefully, did, I? A more recent film would be the first Pirates movie. A perfect summer movie.
Ketwinn, your wedding plans sound wonderful! All the best to you!
And now I'm going out to the mailbox to check for documents! If I have them I will post again!

Oh, that is a good idea to say both animated & non-animated. I think my favorite animated Disney movie is Monster's Inc! When my boys were little when that movie came out, we bought the DVD and I think my boys saw that movie well over 50 times when they were preschool age. :D So, maybe that is why I like it... Because it played all the time in our house! :D

But, recently, I really liked the movie, "Tangled". :) That was a good animated movie.

Kathy

I'd have to say my favorite classic movie is Dumbo, in fact, I need to get a copy of that one of these days . . .

For the recent movies, probably a tie between POTC and Enchanted.

Scott

My favorite Disney classic would also have to be Dumbo, my fav non-classic would have to be The Lion King (since they just re-released this, I was hoping this counted:thumbsup2)

Boy what a day it has been! We went to pick our minivan up today, it has been in the bodyshop for the last 2 months! Glad to have it back, no more paying for a rental car :yay:
