November 4th, 2007 Disney Wonder Roll Call

Hi CometMom - we are also in Central Jersey (Monmouth County). Just the hubby and myself on this trip; granddaughters 12 and 8 were at WDW in July. We hope some day to share a Disney trip with them - they go every year!! (lucky them).:thumbsup2
WE LIVE IN MIDDLESEX COUNTY. MY PARENTS ARE ALSO CRUISING WITH MY DD AND I.:cheer2:

Hi ChrisLei - We are staying at Beach Club before the cruise. Doing MNSSHP on Halloween (arrival day- we plan to get a catnap before heading to MK). Where are you staying? We may be "stacked-up" next to each other on the runway; I'll look for a JetBlue and give a wave!

We are staying at Port Orleans French Quarters. I will definitely give a wave when I see a Continental flight!

Right now my 2 boys say they don't plan on going to the clubs or in their case the lab. At least this time they'll both be in the same age group if they do go. So far their only request is to order something from room service.

Hi Stephanie...
I went out onto the Comfort Suites website and it clearly states that there are only 4 guests allowed per room... So I'm guessing there would be no point in even calling to ask... I even tried entering 2 adults and 3 kids and it said "no availability" when I did that.
Not the news I wanted either! We were really hoping to find someone to share the room with...
Thanks anyway....:sad1:

Thanks for checking on it. I checked myself and only 4 people in a room. We might just do it on our own or do something else.

Good morning everyone. It is another beautiful day in central Pennsylvania. :sunny:
Blue skies, warm sun. Hopefully it will be the same on November 4th.
DH just informed me he only has 27 days of work till we start our trip on Nov 2. I think he's looking forward to this trip.

I believe I am going to plan on doing the Martini tasting and the Tequila tasting on the Wonder. Anyone want to join me?? DH doesn't drink the hard stuff (he just does beer), so he won't be joining me.

Have a great rest of the week.

I will join you Henlady for the Tequila tasting. I heard that the Martini tasting is not very good.
My DH has not even mentioned it. He says it's to soon to get excited.

Sunny and beautiful here on Long Island, NY. Let's hope the weather is good for the week we are away. :cool1:

BEAUTIFUL DAY IN NJ ALSO TODAY! WHAT IS THE MARTINI AND TEQUILA TASTING? :ccat:

Hi Cometmom...
Haven't done either one yet, but from what I've read they offer both a Martini and a Tequila tasting session. The Martini one has 5 different types of martini's - small 3-4oz portions ranging from the regular one with gin and vermouth to the chocolate martini. The cost is $15 and the different types are explained by someone in the know.
The Tequila tasting consists of 3 shots of different types of tequila - Cuervo, 1800 and Patron Silver, then a 3-4oz regular margarita and one of strawberry margarita. The history and such of tequila is explained. This one is also $15.
I believe the tastings with explainations is conducted on Sea day, but I know you can get an individual Martini tasting most any time at diversions for the $15 if you can't make the full themed one.
Hopefully you can join Steph and I.
Anyone else want to join us???

That sounds fun....my Husband and I will try to join in the Tequila tasting! Hopefully it's in the afternoon, since our big splurge for the couples massage then our Palo's Brunch is scheduled that afternoon!:cloud9:

Let's see if we can get a good size crowd to all do it together. That would be so much fun.
My DH says he will just watch and cheer us on.

Here is what I copied from someone else's post regarding the "tasting" sessions.

"You need to get (buy) a ticket to whatever tasting you are interested in asap after boarding at Guest Services. It is on the same floor as you enter the ship, just around the corner to your right. When you go to the designated bar area for your tasting later, there is someone to tear off your ticket stub and seat you - they seat based on how many people in your party, etc. There were plenty of people by themselves, myself included. On the tables in front of you are the glasses and any information you need. They may already be fillled, or not. On the wine tasting there wasn't any extra room for someone to hang out (it was in Sessions), but the tequila tasting was held in the Promenade Lounge I think there may have been a very few tables off to the side for someone to go to, near the Internet Cafe. He wouldn't be able to sit right next to you while you are doing a tasting."

I'll post and see if I can get a definite answer as to what day the Tequila tasting is on the Wonder.
Can't wait.... I love tequila.

While were on the subject....there is also beer tasting! Plus, I sure plan to go to the 70's Disco Party! :dancer: I heard the music and entertainment is great for the 70's night! Gererally, my Husband and I are too pooped and still on our "home" schedule to make the "adult" entertainment stuff, but were gonna really shoot for taking it all in this time! I hope my DD, 3 1/2 year old, will meet some good friends and also feel comfortable enough sleeping in her lab. I guess she'll be so worn out from the day that she will fall asleeep any where!princess:

STEPHANIE,
I THINK WE WILL BE JOINING YOU. I PASSED IT ALONG TO MY FRIENDS THAT ARE CRUISING WITH US.:tinker:

Answering role call. Three more from Jersey on board the Wonder 11/4.

Can't wait. Love these boards. All the information has been REALLY helpful in preparing for this trip.

I checked out the navigators for the 4 day cruises on the castaway website and there is no margarita/tequila tasting listed. There is the martini and beer tasting there though. We'll just have to hope they'll do the margarita/tequila. Hey, maybe if there are enough of us, we can talk them into it if it's not a scheduled thing on the Wonder. We could threaten a Mutany.:goodvibes

Good morning kids......it's just another wonderful day in the neighborhood here in central PA.
I haven't gotten any answers to my Margarita/Tequila tasting post, so can't post any news on that.
Did anyone else here read the post from someone on the 9/23 cruise?
They had a "Double Dip" at Castaway Cay, and evidently starting in January 08 all 4 day cruises will be Double Dips. Maybe with a little luck they'll do a Double Dip on our cruise. DH would just love that. It would make his trip a total success. We shall see.
