November 26, 2005/ 7 day Eastern Magic

REAS in the Romantic Package. I booked it and already booked my Palo Reservation, and Spa Treatments. I haven't chosen my excurisons yet.

I'm so excited about the REAS (romantic Escape at Sea). I'm booking it as a suprise for my hubby. Glad so many others are taking advantage of it as well.

Especially before the new REAS package change that is taking place in 2006, that ALOT of people don't feel it is worth it...I am glad I got to take advantage of it now! :teeth:

And sorry Dis mama (Lisa), I hope I didn't scare you! The REAS makes it so we can book 105 days in advance. If you do not have the REAS, you are still ok, not time to book yet! But soon! :goodvibes

I am so EXCITED! :Pinkbounc We just paid our cruise balance off and I made our Palo and Spa reservations online. I was also able to register my daughter for Oceaneers Club. We are doing all three meals at Palo (brunch, high tea and dinner). Booked our couple massage for REAS package. Also booked an Exotic Rasual for both of us on Monday and a Cabana Massage for myself on Friday at CC. We haven't booked any shore excursions yet. Last cruise we did all the excursions ourselves without and trouble, so we will probably try to do that this time. Can't wait to see you all at the cruise meet.

Is anyone going to try and go to St. John's on their own? AND is booking excursions and Palo On-Line easy to do? I saw a thread where it begins at 3:01 Eastern time so I think I'll be making my reservations at midnight??? I normally wouldn't worry, but there are a lot of us.

Lisa

Hey Dis_mom --

I'm hoping to do St. Johns with a non-disney excursion. Still waiting for dh to give me the nod :)

Thanks for the heads up about the time to start reservations. Guess I have to get up at 3 AM . . .LOL.

Can you believe we're almost down to 90 days!!??? This is going to be great!

Does anyone know when they send us our papers?

Have a happy day!

HI Fellow cruisers --

Did any other Castaway members attempt to make your reservations for PALOs etc. online this morning? It wouldn't let me in  I thought I'd see what 90 days from our departure date would be. It was Sunday. Please let me know if you made it into reservations as my castaway club number doesn't want to take on the website.

Going back to bed .. .

Dialady, tell me you didn't get up at 3:00 am to book your reservation.... :earseek:

Booking reservations was easy, I booked the REAS package so I was able to book them already. You click on reservations, then the tab for Palo. You will then see dates and times. You click on the ones you want. Same thing for spa treatments. Don't forget to register your kids as well.

I'm on vacation all next week. Wish me good weather....

Good luck to all in getting your reservations.....

Okay, I won't tell you . . .LOL

Actually I got up about 6:30 AM after hubby left. I still have to make the REAS ($$). Dh was so cute this morning and asked if we could book a couple massage . . . he's going to blow my suprise :)

Had to wait until I could call Disney reservations b/c they didn't have my Castaway number connected with my reservation. She also confirmed that 90 days would be Sunday, August 28th. Guess I'll have an early morning then as well.. . LOL

Have a terrific day!

Do you register your kids for every day or just a one time registry????? Last time, my kids didn't want to go in the kids clubs ( stayed with us); they're a little older now.

You just register the kids to have access to the clubs, and also give them the ability to sign themselves in/out. On board each day they can chose to participate in an activity. Its a one time registration for the cruise.

Yeah! I just made my reservations!
I could get into my mom & dad's reservations, but not my sisters. We "rebooked" my parents on board even though they were not there, so I guess they were linked to my CC number. Dissappointing since I made all our palo reservations, but could not make the baby's reservations at Flounders. :sad2: Guess we'll have to hope for the right times at the 75 day mark. I was excited to get the regatta excursion in St. Martin. :cool1:

Anyone else up at this crazy hour?

Hi. My DH, DDs 7 & 4, DS 9 months and I will also be on the cruise. I figured I better post a Hello! We just returned from a 5 night stay at the Coranado Springs resort and can't wiat for the cruise.

Question - Is there any way to print this entire thread without having to go from page to page?

Also - What excursions are good for November?

Thanks!

kimlam1, Welcome, sorry I dont know about printing out the thread. I'm not too computer savvy.

We have been really busy here.

Did get online to get all our Palo/Spa Ressies done. We are doing Palo on Thursday night for dinner and Sunday morning for brunch. I love Palo.

Didnt book any excursions other than banana boating for the bigger dds and dh. We do all the islands on our own and it has worked out great. A little beach time, a little shopping, and we are happy.

I also booked the 2.75 year old twins for two nights in Flounders in case they dont have room for them in the club. Of course I am hopeful that the club has room for them. They have been potty trained for almost a year and do preschool twice a week. I would just much rather them go there for two hours while we are at Palo then to the Nursery. I LOVED flounders when they were little but not fond of it for the over 2 set. Our dd4 has been in the club since she was 2.5 so we will see if they let the twinkies join ranks with the preschoolers.

Still priority waitlisted for early dining and DO NOT want to do late dining again with our crew. Had to do it in January and it was not great for us. Ever hopeful that once final payment date has passed some early dining slots will open up.

Got our airfare today on Southwest via DING from Baltimore for 43.00 each way non stop. Couldnt get any better than that. Baltimore is almost a four hour drive for us, but my parents live there so it works out great.

Happy weekend to everyone.

Sounds like PALOs on Thursday night is the place to be! Hope the kids will be prepared . . .LOL Last time we had trouble getting the boys out of the clubs. This time they are asking if they can stay out until 1 AM (we just aren't morning people!).

Wow! $38 each way! Way to go! I was pleased with $135, but it's from the airport 10 minutes from my house.

Is anyone else going to high tea at PALOs? That is one of the things I am looking forward to the most, but the look on dh's face when I told him he was going was, well, horrifying! We did my bridal shower at a high tea at the Ritz Carlton in DC. It was a tradition among my group of friends. Oh the looks on the old ladies as we pulled at the slinky stuff . . .LOL. Anyway, is anyone else planning to go?

Counting the days in sunny Virginia . . .

Dialady,

Tea is my favorite at palo, the scones and cream, yummy. Just the information they provide on the types of tea is so interesting to me. Very relaxing. Dh liked it but wont do it again (doesnt want to dress up during the day) so I wont get to do it this time, unless I can talk my mom into going, which is highly unlikely.

You got great airfare for an airport close to home. I have gotten really CHEAP since we have begun flying with all seven of the kiddos so frequently.

Thursday is our absolute favorite night for Palos on the eastern. Great prelude to castaway cay, and dont have to get up really early the next a.m.. On the western our favorite is Sunday brunch at Palo as the ship pulls into Key West. Beautiful view.

Can you tell I'm getting excited. We too cant pull our kids out of the club. They dont even want to eat with us (although most evenings we force them).

Hi, I know i am planning to go to high tea. I really enjoyed the high tea at the Ritz in London. Hey, I thought Thurs nite was the captain's Gala? Isn't that suppose to be a good nite in one of the other restuarants?
Oh, i just changed my reservations from Cat 10 to Cat 9 guaranteed for $200 a cabin, hope that was a good idea? Any thoughts?
CJ :earsgirl:

Oh, I just changed a total of 15 seats to late seating today. I would call DC or your TA right away. They wee thrilled we took late seating instead. Hope you guys get the early one. My group of 15 is primarily coming from the west coast 8:30 will still be 5:30 to them. CJ ::MinnieMo
