Is there a count of how many kids are in our group? I was going to try to get some NASA stuff to bring with me, but I wasn't sure how many kids there would be.

Thanks,
LisaRae
LisaRae,

If you look at the list, I have broken the kids down by ages. The numbers are near the top. Just add them up and you should get the number. There may be a few that I am missing.

What are eBags?

Uggg, afraid office will not let me go. HELP!

http://www.ebags.com

Won't let you go? As in not make the cruise? :headache: Tell them they either let you go or they owe you 3x the cost of the cruise!

LisaRae - That is so nice of you! I'm sure the kids would love items from Nasa. BTW - Do you have any info on space camp? Maybe a web site link?

Thanks,
Kim

Unfortunately I would never approve a budget request like that. :rotfl: I am way to cheap!

Seriously, the office won't keep me from going, I think everyone is looking forward to me being gone and out of their hair. :rotfl2: I am just looking at everything I need to do and feeling overwhelmed.

Good news, I just hired a new office manager to start Monday.

Hmmmm, is it wise to have someone else train your assistant? :teeth:

Lisa:

I can relate to that one. I have my own business, http://www.redleafinfo.com
and one of my clients who is a big electronics retailer is NOT happy I will be gone. She called me today for "contact" info on the ship. I have a feeling I am going to be packing to the wee hours of the morning before I leave! :earsgirl:

The should be willing and able to charge the US$6.95/minute connection fee to a major credit card.

Yowza!!! I think maybe I'll have a colleage ship me an Iridium phone for, uh, testing purposes, yeah, that's it, I can test the uplink ;)

I know what you mean about getting away from work. My challenge is that I work from home . . .LOL . . .and I own the company . . mean boss . . .LOL

Gave the boys their list of what they need to accomplish for school by the time we leave. My youngest son, age 8 was so excited he finished all of his grammar yesterday . . .:cool1:

Speaking of workaholics and kids doing homework on vacation :headache: How many people are bringing a laptop? I mean since they have wi-fi on board now, it's a good chance to upload those photos to the poor souls left on dry land

I was debating about it, but then I would probably want to check e-mail. However, since I plan on taking a lot of pictures, I got myself a FlashTrax XT (Courtesy of work) www.smartdisk.com. It holds 40 GB of data and also has a viewer so I can see the pictures. Then I can hook it up to computer when I get home and download the pictures from there. I have 1.5 gb of Memory Stick space, but I think I will take more pictures than that. Also, anyone else that may need to clear up their Memory Cards, please let me know. I can copy your pictures and then send you a cd with your pictures.

RE the mem cards. My BIL was in cambodia when his mem card glitched. I was able to recover some photos but... most were lost. All was groovy on the camera but when he started the download, that is when trouble hit.

We have 5 cards, a 4 gb, 2 of the 1gb and 2 of the 512's. I rotate my cards each day now. This way the most I will lose is a few days.

I will be working, but it is on a project that I find enjoyable. I have wanted to get to it but fires keep happening. My DD is doing her homework (hopefully) prior to boarding the ship. DH is off.

No laptop, that would allow me to be hypnotized. Haven't decided if I will give my biggest client the phone number. They will find it if they really need it (they are a concierge). We will see.

This thing will play mpg, wmv files, also has an FM tuner, it can play MP3 files. It will show the photos in a slideshow. I got the link earlier from a different thread.

Can it cook supper? Sounds sweet, I may have to take a look and endulge in a new toy. :rotfl:

Can you believe we are almost cruising.

I just check it out. The 20 gig is not in stock, but they can ship the 40 gig in time to travel. Must remember, DH said no more money may be spent prior to boarding the ship. He is a little concerned about some of the extra things I got DD on MOM for their B-days. I am a little concerned he may keel over when we get to the room. He thought $500 on clothes was bad.

I actually got mine from newegg.com. It had a $30 Rebate. You just need to make sure that if you do not have an SD card that you need to get the adapter. If you get it before the cruise, I could let you borrow my adapter. Also, Amazon had it cheaper then smartdisk.com did.

No email checking for me! The lag time of the VPN tunnel into the secured network switch would be murder!!! :crazy2: It's bad enough trying to reach the servers in HI while using the direct link!

I have a few memory cards for my digital camera but DW wants to bring her Nikon and not my "crappy Olympus" :snooty: She has a 1GB CF card, I thought about a second as a backup. I still need to get a 512 or 1gb SD chip for my new camcorder...it burns straight to DVD-RAM so no worries there. Besides, taking the laptop lets me test out the GPS tracking while we're at sea, IN 10 DAYS!!!! :goodvibes

Just wanted to let you guys know that Disney has an interdenominational church service on Sunday morning, and a Sabbath service on Friday evening. We went to the church service on our last Disney cruise, and it was very enjoyable, contemporary music and good teaching. We have not seen church services on any other cruise line.

Please don't get the wrong idea about us. We won't be hitting you over the head with Bibles. We are Christians, but we love all people. We love to dance and hang out with everybody. We always meet such great people on cruises, and we usually end up staying in touch at least by email.

Thanks for the info, LisaRae. I was wondering about this. Do you know what time the service usually starts?

We are doing the single digit dance . . .
:banana::banana::banana: 9 days until we leave!! :banana::banana::banana:

See you folks soon!
