Jon,

She's a can DC girl. Not bottles, not machines, its the cans (quote from "The Jerk"). Thanks anyway.

How's things in NM?

I understand now. Just thought I would let you know. I do not care as long as they have stuff to mix with Vodka in the machines, I will be just fine.

I am in NC, not NM. jonesing is in NM. However, NC is great. Still too warm. I want it to get colder, so I feel better and warmer when I head to the Caribbean.

Has anyone done the Exotic Rasul spa treatment before? I wanted to try this our last cruise but chickened out. We have it booked this time. I have a feeling my husband will spend the hour laughing when we start smearing mud all over each other.

mgtx - DH and I are doing the Rasul. I am afraid I will be the one laughing. I figured whichever way it goes, it will be f.u.n., which we could use more of. DH and I work together, which means we have very little to talk about in the evening since we both know about the others day. Actually, we are both managers, and are frequently at odds at work, which means work is also a taboo subject.

ljt064 - I have Shirley providing the booze for DH and Mom in their baskets. That way I don't have to worry about toting it on board. It is Crown Royal for DH and Cuervo 1800 plus mag mix for Mom. I am stopping for Bacardi for me.

I just e-mailed Shirley earlier about a basket. Hopefully she will get back to me soon. I am trying to have her stock up some beer for me. I will bring some of the alcohol and may have to buy some more on the Islands. However, I do not plan on drinking too much, I want to remember the cruise. So please come share mine with me.

Jon, I just called her. I cannot wait to see the baskets that we designed together. She had incredible ideas. She couldn't get me the cost immediately because of the alcohol, but when I asked her today, she came in a good 20% under what I expected. She wouldn't let me pay her more.

She is soooo sweet and it seems as if she goes out of her way. I haven't seen any of her work, but she has been talked of highly on the boards so I have no concerns.

halestrm .. I figure a late breakfast with Mimosas should knock out my giggles. However it goes, I agree, it will be fun. My DH works days and I work nights (only part time), I'm not sure which would be worse, being together 24/7 or not seeing each other for days at a time. Cruising is always such a good time for us to reconnect

Hi RoseGarden, I have a 15 y/o son and a 10 y/o girl. They both LOVE ping pong...we all can't wait. My son can't stop talking about the "free" food and soda. Hope to see you at the cruise meet

Must be nice to have the problem of being carded when you go to a bar :earboy2:

Joanne

:goodvibes Well the last time it happened, I noticed the teeny bopper waitress started calling me "sir" after she saw my birthdate!

Lisa, thanks for the info! I hope we can get everything we'll need at Publix. I've mentioned before that I'm kind of a bag freak and I think I'll just have to go ahead and get that extra suitcase. For the baby, yeah, for the baby :rolleyes1

We did the Rasul on our last DCL. We couldn't get the mud off! We scrubbed and scrubbed, rinsed and our towels still turned brown! We've got a couples massage that I'm looking forward to (I'm hoping to be able to convince them to put us in one of the new "Spa Suites" for it ;)

Booze, hmmm. Well we're taking on two 6-packs of wine from my cousin's winery (family discount and much cheaper even after paying corkage!) Plus we've got "orders" from various family members left behind on what we're going to purchase in the islands; Jamisons Irish Whiskey and Tortuga Rum so far.

We leave in just 77.5hrs! WAHHOOO!

Lisa

p.s. Maybe we should have a wine tasting party....

I was planning on bringing on several bottles of wine and a case of Beer. I can't wait to be sitting on the Verandah sipping a corona.... :smooth:

I'm not a beer fan but I'm all about recreating those Corona commercials!!! :drinking:

Something to add to your to do list... I just found a website called Discoveryschool.com that makes custom designed word searches, mazes and lots of other puzzles. (Go to the puzzlemaker section on the first page). So I've already made my kids a DCL word search to do on the plane. :teacher: See, there is educational value in a vacation ::yes:: (for all of you who have cranky teachers that are angry about the kids missing school). Of course, I should be packing but instead I'm making puzzles! :rolleyes1

Welcome Rosegarden,

We are all getting excited. Its getting so close,. I have a DD 8 and DS 4, and 12 year old niece traveling with us.

The kids just finished thier door signs, and my wife thought they looked awesome. She was wondering how I thought of it. Thank goodness for DIS. :Pinkbounc

10 sleeps til we take off.

A wine tasting sounds good. We have tons of bottles and will try in fit about 6 or so it our suitcases. Wine, Beer, Vodka and Free Food sounds like a recipe for success. :earboy2:

Thank you Boo Mc. I have been making word searches for the kids and the DH. Excellent idea :wave2:

I have been reading but not commenting lately. Lots of energy in the group right now. It is getting exciting. I am taking off tomorrow to complete our packing and finish the last minute shopping. We are leaving a week from tomorrow.

Have a great evening. Thanks for the tip. Very useful.
