Haven't told our son yet!! He will be thrilled!! I'm doing the giddy happy dance so here are some dancing guys!!

I am new to Disney cruises and was looking at FE (Fish extender, correct???). I have an almost 3 yr old boy that we might enjoy being a part of. We are also part of a group of 2 other families... 3 boys and 1 boy... if I tell them they might want to do this too. Can someone give me more info on how it works and what to bring (gifts, etc...) and how much are we spending on these gifts? If just spending a small amount we will totally be on board!

I don't see why not, but kmcford is the organizer for the FE. Private message them your names, ages, fave Disney character, and cabin number.

I must say: hooray for giddy people! I have so stinking excited about all this that I'm making the rest of my family annoyed! (-:

We want a little more info about the FE... might be interested in this!

Here is what I have received:

(as of right now all the kids are girls)


There are a few others that have mentioned it in posts but did not pm me to join. So I am not sure if they are still wanting to join or not.

So I am open to doing whatever you all want to do. We could do individual gifts for the kids and then just one for the adults in each cabin, we could do one for each member, we could do just one gift for each room,etc.

I think for the kids sake it might be nice if they each got one but as for the adults I am totally open.

I'm not sure if I am reply to post correctly. We are interested in the FE. Can you give me more info?

Hi!! Looks like I am with you- just hoping to join in the FE exchange. I sent a PM to kmcford, but haven't heard back yet. It's only been like a day, but when you are as excited as I am, it seems like a week!!

On our last Disney cruise (our first cruise) we participated in the FE exchange. It was close to spring break time, so we had a lot of families! I had a carry on devoted to the FE gifts! I gave small items for the adults that I made (little shrinky dink charm earrings and key chains that I thought were cute). Then I found little innexpensive unique toy things for the kids. Some of the the favorite gifts we recieved were hand made or from home town areas! Our sons' favorite gift was a mini basketball hoop and ball (from a dollar store type) but he hung it up in the room and entertained him quite a bit!! It was so cute!

The FE hangers ranged from elaborate hand stitched gorgeous art, to plastic pockets with stickers. ALL were unique and fun to look at!!

The FE is a really fun thing. I would love to do it again!!

It is important that if you please let me know if you were signed up and no longer choose to participate. It is only fair that if you receive gifts you should be giving as well. If your cabin is only adults it is fine to only give the cabin gift as that is what you will be receiving. If you choose to do the kid gifts that is wonderful but not required.



Mqbowen I will be glad to add you if you would like to participate.


There are still people (like me) who do not have a cabin # yet. I am also guessing there might be some who will possibly do cabin upgrades at the port. It will be important to give this information out so that people deliver to the right cabin. I am thinking about making a card I can put in FE to state our new stateroom number. Great idea about the card to put in the FE's. The FE that we did on our last cruise used one known cabin number to post any changes for all to see. That was a good idea too.

Will you be at the meet that is set up on facebook? If so, anyone who makes changes can tell you there. Also, can we call each other from the wave phones? If so, we can call yours and leave a message of what our room number is...assuming it works that way, and assuming you have a room number before then!

I am not sure if I will be at the meetup or not. I am going to try but we are traveling with a big group and I know that best laid plans never seem to work out with a group.

We are going to look into a stateroom upgrade so I will quite possibly not know my number until we are actually on so I probably should not be the go to number.
