Thanks for the info Jan!!

We are a group of 8. We have 5 adults going and 3 kids. The kids are all girls 5,9,14. I have been on a few cruises but my husband adn our girls haven't. They are so excited as am I!

Don't forget to login tonight to start booking everything for the cruise! Woohoo! I'm so excited!

We just booked over the weekend. My daughter will be 16 on the 24th and we thought a Disney Cruise is a perfect way to celebrate her "Sweet 16." It will be myself, my DH and my 2 DDs (7) and (16). My mother and her friend will also be joining us. Very excited!!!

Yes, we have all port adventures booked. Although, my husband and DD wanted to try Snuba but it was only available at 7:30 in the morning.

Do you know if anyone is going to do fish extenders? We have always wanted to do an exchange.

We're all booked for everything too! Despite my 10 month old baby waking up 1 minute before the booking window opened. Lol! I let her cry while I booked our Palo dinner on Formal night.

What is the fish extender anyway? What's involved in a swap?

Hi. We'll be joining you on the 24th - myself and my 3 nieces age 10, 11 and 12. They will be flying down from St. Louis. (i live in Houston). Am interested as well in the preparations -door magnets and fish extenders. Also, we are scheduled for late dinner -do you think that will be too late for the girls? I'd be interested in the exchange. We're on the 2nd deck.

Hi. We are the Rice family. This will be our first Disney cruise (& 1st ever cruise for the kids!). We lived within 10 miles of Disneyland when the kids were small, and, boy, do we miss those after-school afternoons @ the park! Needless to say, we are unbelievably excited!
Will be traveling with DD & her BFF-both 14, DS-17, Hubby, my dad & both in-laws! My son is autistic. Glad 1st 2 days are at sea, so he can get acclimated to new environment. Disney has always treated him so well, that I am sure he will feel comfortable.
This is an important trip for my dad & me, as we lost my beloved Mom in March. The holidays will be difficult, but what better way to ease the pain than a little injection of
Disney?
We would love to do Fish Extenders, too. How do we figure out who is participating? Let me know how this works, please. Thanks so much!

HI everyone,
we are a party of 5... Me (trish) hubby Roger, Alli 21(1st time cruiser) Sophia,12 and lastly Gma Pat.. 70 something :) 1st time cruiser)

This will be our 2nd cruise on the Magic, 3 of us sailed out of Florida last October.

We are driving down.. sigh.. Yes DD 21 and myself would love to fly.. but sadly the airfare is more than our cruise:scared1: yea go figure.. thank's STL for crappy air fares.. :sad2:

we have not booked any of our port excursions yet, yes I know get a move on..
Alli who's in college in KC has asked to see the ruins, and wants to snorkel too.. we have our own snorkel gear.. my self.. i am happy to sit in the sun and enjoy the beach.. Sophia will be happy no matter where we are.. she will be out of school for a week :teacher:

As for mom.. well she will most likely be content to stay on the ship while we are at ports, tho she has mentioned she would like to do the bus Tour on the Cayman's. we have always traveled as a family.. Dad(who passed away in 96) retired from the Military so traveling is in our blood

as for the Fish Extenders we did see a few on our deck (2) the DH who's sometimes scrooge said" what is that ? and how much did they charge for that! lol I explained that they were made by the cruisers them selves and you put surprises in them.. I got this look :rolleyes2 I need to consult with my :artist: Ali but i think we are in for the fish extenders....

last year Alli made villian magnets for us, so this trip I'm not sure what she has in store for us. most likely Christmas theme. I saw on another thread where they were over the stateroom numbers, I am not sure if they were for the Dream? they were mickey heads with the middle cut out

we are counting the days' & hoping everyone stays healthy :littleangel:
and we will See ya real soon!

we are late dinner too! We loved eating late, gave us a full day at the ports on our last cruise so we could take a nice nap.. before dinner

Hi....my cousin (Diana) and I will be joining all of you on our third Disney cruise. The third on the Magic for me and the second on the Magic for her (she sailed on the Wonder once).

If any of you have ever been on the Magic or the Wonder you probably know the "Disney Dreams" show. My daughter is Anne Marie in that show. She is also Drizella in "Twice Charmed" and in the ensembles of the other shows.

This, her second contract with DCL, is over on December 8th so this was kind of the last chance to cruise again with her, besides we couldn't pass up the price we got for a "space available" room. My cousin and I have always wanted to take a vacation together and this is our chance, we are soooooo excited!!!!

This seems like a very small quiet group for this cruise. I know from my daughter that the Galveston cruises have not been selling too good.

When my husband and I cruised in June out of NYC, our daughter came to the "Meet and Greet" to meet everyone from the DISboards. It was exciting for some of the kids to meet her and know they would see her on stage. If you're having a "Meet and Greet" please let me know. Also, has there been a Facebook page set up for this group?

Love cruising on the Magic,

Janet

We have never even participated in a FE so I'm not sure I'm the right person but if no one else wants to organize an FE, I will. I think it would just organizing a master list of everyone who is participating right?

I'm so happy to meet all the other people joining us on the cruise! And so cool to meet someone who knows someone working on the ship! We'd be in for the FE stuff too.

Welcome LynneH, dmzhrice, allisophie, and jczosack and families!!! :wave2:

Welcome aboard!

Our DIS meet will be on Saturday at the Promenade Lounge, deck 3 midship, at 3pm. We'd love to have the chance to meet "Anne Marie". Hope all can stop by and say hi.

Janet, Disney Dreams is my all time favorite play! I saw the comparable Believe on the Dream this past June, but Dreams is my favorite.

We have four staterooms worth of family and friends with us (12 in all). The kids in our group are 6, 8 and 10 (all girls) and a 14 year old teenage boy. We have early seating, booked Palo brunch and dinner, and just looking forward to getting on that beautiful ship again. Several in our group have not yet cruised with DCL. What a great experience they will have!

At Costa Maya, we are booked at the Tropicante, a beach side restaurant not too far from port. As for Cozumel and Grand Cayman, as of today, we have no plans. My DH and I may stay on the ship and count it as a "sea day".

Janet, I started this thread after booking in late June 2012 while on the Dream. Starting a DIS meet thread so close to sailing gave me the impression that Galveston isn't selling well.

There is no Facebook page for this cruise.

As for an FE exchange, whoever decides to organize the list, I can offer some help. I organized the FE exchange for the June 2012 Dream cruise we were on. Just let me know if you need some help. My DH and I will not be participating this time.

Have a great rest of the weekend.

Jan

This will be our 2nd cruise on the Magic, 3 of us sailed out of Florida last October.

Which October 2011 Magic cruise were you on? We (DH, cruise buddy Carla (who will be with us on this cruise) and myself) were on the 10/1/11 Magic.

What a great way for you, your dad and family to get through the holidays this year. It's a great way to celebrate your mom's life, as well.

Janet,
Alli our oldest did the disney college program.. sadly it did not work out for her, looking forward to meeting everyone.. oh and by the way Alli loves the theater :) she is so excited .. she loves Disney just as much as me.. She attends Kansas City Art Institute .. where Walt Disney took classes. It's really neat to go and see his "studio" and we are able to visit Marceline his boy hood home several times.. hmmm this might be an spoiler idea for FE exchange :)
