Hello!
We will be staying at BC resort from 11/12 - 11/19.
We had picked these dates for the lower crowds and temps, as our last few yearly trips in May were semi busy/hot.
However after the crowds this weekend, I am wondering if we should be preparing ourselves for high crowd levels. Any local or experienced input on this?
We will enjoy our trip either way (only 16 days left!!)
Thanks in advance!! :flower1:

No way to predict it. easywdw stopped doing crowd calendars due to lack of info from WDW and Touring Plans and Kenny the Pirate are just making educated guesses, at best.

I would prepare for higher than average. We'll be there at the same time and were not planning on doing commando touring and virtually no rope drops. We did make the FP+ choices and a few ADRs.

Agreed, but keep in mind that this week's average is typically very low. I don't think it will be too bad overall. But going in with low expectations and being pleasantly surprised is always better than going in with high expectations and being disappointed. We are going the same week, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that it's not crazy!

all depends too on which parks you are at which day of the week. we are there the same week as you and set our park days last Spring using Easy WDW estimated November crowd calendar. Bought a subscription to Touring Plans in August and for our days TP has the crowds for 13th-19th as:

5, 4,4,3, 2, 4,9

so still hoping for the best. we always rope drop and have FP+ for the headliners beginning around 10:35-11AM and hope to get a lot done early.
MK closing early 4 nights that week make it more complicated which is why we have Park Hoppers.

We did that week in 2014 and it was so much more crowded than we were expecting. Not sure if it was Veteran's Day or the free dining promotion, but we switched back to December after that week. The good news was that the weather was perfect.

FD does not start up again until the 15th, expecting more crowds then.

We have park hoppers too, it just makes it more convenient and flexible!
I like your plan!
Our schedule is:
13th- MK (for MVMCP)
14th- EP
15th- AK
16th- MK
17th- Resort day/ Disney Springs
18th- HS/ EP
19th- MK in the morning before flying out.
We will be doing rope drop too and heading back in the middle of the day for a rest (learned that the hard way!)
I'll look at some of the crowd calendars again and compare the dates.

Keep in mind that when we did the same week in 2012 the crowds were not too bad but wait times were still fairly long. Some of the rides were not running at full capacity due to "low" crowd levels.

It sounds like quite a few folks have picked that week to visit, including us. Conventional wisdom hasn't worked the best this year when it comes to crowd predictions, so I'm expecting it to be moderately heavy.

I think this year could be different with Food and Wine going through 11/14. 11/12 is also Dapper Day at Epcot. I know they had a room block at the Beach Club and had to move some reservations to Boardwalk so the resorts seem pretty full. We'll be there 11/10-11/16 at Beach Club!

We will be there that week as well. If it is any help - there is a large conference in town that week (Sunday - Wednesday - why we are going) that is taking up a lot of the deluxe resort rooms but the conference itself is not on Disney property (it's at the Orange County Convention Center). So the resorts might seem more crowded, but it doesn't mean the parks will be extra crowded as well (at least that's what I'm hoping for). I'm also hoping that because the week prior is Veterans day (and I think Jersey Week, but don't quote me on that) and the very next week is Thanksgiving, this particular week won't be terrible. Fingers crossed!

For years we have gone Vet's day to TG.

Crowds were always low. This year , I think will be very very different.

1. Unseasonally high crowds Sept and Oct.
2. FD promo
3. All park hours being increased all month, last increase just yesterday at MK open later, opening earlier.
4. Lots of RO promos's for locals.
5. Reduced capacity alway a threat.
6. Many high end refurbs.

Touring plans threw in the towel on Novemebr due to WDW complete lack of infomation on shows, hours and closure through summer.

The other crowd calander sites basically ripped his off anyway....so they are going off a calander he scrapped...

I would predict the 3-4, will be more like 7-8.

Here's hoping I am wrong!

We are also going the 12-17 on a spur of the moment trip. We are preparing for high crowds but staying positive no matter what it is like. We went two weeks after Easter earlier this year and although crowds were projected low, they were much more than anyone anticipated. I will say that I made our fastpass selections today and got everything we wanted, at the times we want. Only ones not available were 7DMT and Frozen ride. I've got my fingers crossed for bearable crowds this trip!

We are heading down too. Arriving the 11th and leaving the 21st. 5 Disney days 3 Universal days, and 1 down day and I'm stressing -- LOL.

I'm not relying on the crowd calendars as much this trip, but where did you see that Touring Plans threw in the towel for November? I just started planning this trip in August. I've been tracking their predicted vs. actual crowds for the last week and they are way off for many of the parks. My expectations now are for larger crowds, but was curious where this came from.

Count me in for this week, too. I am hoping for the best, but I've got my touring plans ready to go. The first year we went during this week - 2011 - it was amazing! The touring plans were left behind and we probably didn't wait more than 20 minutes for any ride. I'm not expecting that again. And, I am a little nervous about the fact that they've extended park hours. But my attitude is that it won't be the worst crowds by far and the weather will be nice...oh! And, we'll be at Disney!!! :goodvibes

That's one thing I've noticed, too, as I have been tweaking our schedule: there is still a lot of FP availability.

Except for Frozen, I've seen there are plenty of FPs available. It actually surprised me.

I guess Frozen is still the one ride that everyone wants to ride.....

there is still a lot of FP availability.

that is a positive sign maybe as we are less than 30 days out so offsite people would have been able to book FP+ by now.

we have all our FP+ for the headliners starting around 10:30-11 each day and will be at the parks at Rope Drop to try and get as much done before we start using our FPs. We are at MK on days they close early, hoping it will be less crowded until 4PM.

I have noticed that there is a fair bit of ADR and FP availability for the week I am going, so maybe that is a sign that things might not be as crowded as I expect.

I'm pretty sure that poster was referring to Josh at easywdw, not touring plans. Josh actually said recently that he is going to revisit crowd calendars again very soon with a different model.
