November 2016 crowds?

NJ teachers convention is the 10th/11th, plus lots have off on the 8th for Election Day. Veterans Day is on the 10th.

We will be there that week as well. If it is any help - there is a large conference in town that week (Sunday - Wednesday - why we are going) that is taking up a lot of the deluxe resort rooms but the conference itself is not on Disney property (it's at the Orange County Convention Center). So the resorts might seem more crowded, but it doesn't mean the parks will be extra crowded as well (at least that's what I'm hoping for). I'm also hoping that because the week prior is Veterans day (and I think Jersey Week, but don't quote me on that) and the very next week is Thanksgiving, this particular week won't be terrible. Fingers crossed!

Are you at the IFEBP? I'm in benefits but not attending this year - even though I'll be there that week :)

Yes - the IFEBP. Bringing the whole family along (there's no way I'd ever get to stay at the poly without a conference rate) - they'll enjoy the parks while I attend the conference. I'm really excited - as are my 3 kids!

Sounds fun! I thought about attending since I'll be there, but this is a trip with extended family and it didn't work out. Still a good week to be out of the office though!

I don't think it is going to be too bad considering the abundance of FP availability that is out there for every day of that week. It won't be "slow" but I highly doubt 7-8s.

I was wondering about that - there's so many still available, maybe the typical conference go'ers aren't as hip to the system and do less planning in advance? Just a theory.

We are heading down too. Arriving the 11th and leaving the 21st. 5 Disney days 3 Universal days, and 1 down day and I'm stressing -- LOL.

I'm not relying on the crowd calendars as much this trip, but where did you see that Touring Plans threw in the towel for November? I just started planning this trip in August. I've been tracking their predicted vs. actual crowds for the last week and they are way off for many of the parks. My expectations now are for larger crowds, but was curious where this came from.

I have noticed that there is a fair bit of ADR and FP availability for the week I am going, so maybe that is a sign that things might not be as crowded as I expect.

I'm pretty sure that poster was referring to Josh at easywdw, not touring plans. Josh actually said recently that he is going to revisit crowd calendars again very soon with a different model.
yeah sorry , I mean Josh...

Feel sorry for him, crowd prediction is a thankless job.

Lines looking better this week.

We went during that week in 2015. It was busier than expected. The days at MK without the Christmas tickets were 7-8 I think. It was maybe around a 5-7/10 most days for the other parks. There was FD. It was all manageable with rope drop and a plan. There was a day at HS that was only from 9-4 for a staff party. If you don't care about Fantasmic or want a short park day it was a great day with several walk ons.

There is no way to know. Disney has made it almost impossible to predict. Normal high times have been low and low times have been high. there are so many different promos, discounts, feee dining, parties etc. that bump up crowds. Throw in school breaks, holidays (one week last year was unexpectedly crowded, turned out due to the way some Jewish holidays fell, many schools had a 3 day week. What did everyone do? Go to Disney. Impossible to have predicted that), a hurricane that forced many to re-schedule to different dates and well.....you just won't know until you get there.

Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

+ 1 for that week (actually +6!) 11th thru 21st.

We have always went right after labour day, and it has never been crowded - I am hoping this week will be the same, but I am not counting on it! Judging by the difficulty in getting ADR's - compared to September! Planning for this November trip has certainly been my most challenging!

I'm doing MK on the 14th hoping things aunt to crazy but they do have extra magic hours that day at MK.

was looking at my FP+ last night and was surprised how many options were still available. Last trip (2013) they were testing FP+ so don't know what the norm is for FP+ availability 2 weeks out

There were a bunch of FPs in MK available this morning. We easily got the ones we wanted.

Yes there are so many available! We had no problems with ADRS either, but we do not eat breakfast in the parks and we also don't do buffets or characters. There are even availabe slots for dessert parties, EMM and Club Villian. I'm staying optimistic but realistic. Either way I'm going to have fun!

Add +2 here (maybe 3, fingers crossed). It has to be a little lighter than October, don't you think? My fastpasses and ADRs were super easy to get. In hopes that there will be three, I had to change everything to 3 instead of 2 and was able to do that for all except 1 ADR. I don't care, I'll be there and not a work! :D

IMHO expect heavy crowds--not spring break level, but closer than what you'd think, especially Epcot on weekends. MY experience has been that headliners have wait times of 55-70 minutes by 11:00 am--and it doesn't get any better. Rope drop is still your best friends.

We will be there then too. November 12-20th. We were hoping for lighter crowds too. With Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam premiering, Pizza Rizzo opening and potentially Rivers of Light opening, I'm a little scared of this week. We keep having to change our schedule to accomodate these changes.
