If they offer FD and that week is excluded due to the W&D Half Marathon, will there be another offer available for that week? We just moved our reservation to POR in hopes of a deal of some kind coming up. Now I'm hearing that W&D weekend doesn't usually have any specials at all. My head hurts from all the anticipation.

I am running all of the numbers on resort/discounts options that could "might" come up right now. Planning on going 11/15-11/23(the week before thanksgiving) which I feel will have a decent chance of good discounts. We are hoping for a split stay with 4 night in a moderate(CBR or POR) with free dining and 4 night in a delux(CR or WL) with a good % off. If we can not get at least 30% off of the delux rooms we will most likely do the whole trip in a moderate with free dining. If no free dining then I'm not sure what plan C is going to be, probably moving to a value resort (AoA maybe) for the week. Do you think both room discounts and free dining will be announced together?

If you scroll up, you'll see a link posted by dansdad to historical info on discounts from Mousesavers. It shows the dates the discount was valid, when it was released, etc. for the past few years. Very handy info.

Staying at a value , you'll save much more with FD. At the deluxe level, room discounts can work out better than FD, depending in the number and ages of the people in the reservation.

We got 30% off POR for Nov 7 -12. This was offered right around Wine and Dine Registration for runners only, not sure if still available.

So glad to find a place to watch for November discounts. Have booked at Beach Club Resort for late November/early December to celebrate our 35th Anniversary. Really hoping for a free dining or room discount offer. Has this resort been included in offers in past years?

I am following this thread. We set our dates for 11/22 - 11/30 however I would seriously consider moving them up if there was a discount offered. It's our first time ever going and everyone keeps saying they can't believe I picked a holiday week & how crowded it will be...blah, blah, blah..

Staying at Pop Century Nov 12-18th!!! Waiting for the general public free dining on the 7th!! My TA will be on the phone for us as soon as the lines open! So relieved that I don't have to worry about being on hold all morning. I'll just be waiting for an email from her when its done. Good luck everyone! We missed FD last year because we went during Jersey Week.. not this year!

We're booked at the GF, 11/16-11/21. When I called, I asked the CM about possible discounts and she mentioned that August 1 is usually when anything is offered for this time frame. That agrees with the info noted above, about looking at the past discounts.

If this is a rookie question, but I haven't been to WDW in several years and am not as well versed in the discounts.

I'm looking at a trip for mid November and am starting to get antsy about setting some concrete plans so I'm tempted to book the room now. But, I also obviously want to wait and see if a discount becomes available soon. If I were to book a package now, could I apply the discount later if it becomes available? Or because I would have already booked the room and tickets it wouldn't apply?

You can apply the discount as long as that specific room type and resort is included in the promotion and still has spots available. I've done it on several occasions.
