Hi I am so excited to announce that my family and I will be visiting Disney World on 11/26 - 12/2..... Our first EVER Christmas season in DISNEY WORLD!!!

May I be added to the list? Who should I ask?

SOOOO EXCITEDDDD!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

So after reading the blog post and the comments that follow, is BOG QS for LUNCH..and would that mean no lunch ressies?!? If so, I bet it will be a MAD HOUSE when it opens. I want to go!!

yes its for lunch. They said you will order and they will bring it to your table on China. I think the lunch menu looks oh so good! I think I will schedule it! The dinner one doesnt look bad and will still try to get a ressie just in case:)

Too much coffee :yay: and barely skimmed the article the first time looking for dates. This QS lunch has thrown me for a loop! I'm so excited!! Do you think it will be availaible with the QS Dining plan? That would be so fabulous. :cheer2:

Your enthusiasm has found a true home on this thread! We are all pretty much in the state of excitement at all times.:yay::yay: That is when we're not stressing over ressies and such.;) You will absolutely LOVE the Christmas decorations! Hope you have time to get to a few of the resorts to see what they have. WL is a great one as are the Epcot resorts. But the one you shouldn't miss is GF. They construct a gingerbread house in their lobby that is amazing. If I knew how to post pics, I would share one with you. You are also going to love the Osborne lights at HS! There's so much to see and do. Now I'm all in a dither just remembering!:rotfl:

Now Im affraid that we booked the 'walmart' of cruises! :sad1:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I agree! I can't wait to go!!

EXCEPT, I wish they wouldn't just put BOG will be open for the "holidays." So...which holiday?!?!

*crosses fingers it'll be open in November*

I have a feeling they mean Thanksgiving, but of course that's just my thoughts. Nothing to base it on. At any rate, even if it opens officially on a certain date, there will no doubt be a "soft" opening prior to that where you can't make ressies, but it's just walk in for those in the know. Not knowing for sure is making me crazy!:crazy2:

No not at all! Carnival puts out a good product- its just that I prefer the decor, layout, and overall experience of Royal Caribbean better- that's all. I would try and stick to their newer ships though. I hear the Dream is very decent as our some of their other newer ships. The older ones just lack the space and overall feel I think. I don't think you will be too disappointed- but again its all in the perception. We're not fancy people by any means pretty simple in fact, so given that we don't expect alot I guess. I would be interested in hearing all about your trip and how you liked it when you get back. Go and have a great time!! :)

Just went and read the blog...the menu at BOG looks amazing both for lunch and dinner. I can't wait to book, I just hope its open when we are there.

 thanks you made me feel better. :cloud9: Im excited again! WOOHOO! Come on November! I just read the blog and am ready to make an ADR! :santa:

Ok I KNOW I have to start fixing the front page, and I really want to right now but have a head ache and dont feel good. I do know I left off on page 7 so I promise I will get to it soon! I am trying my best:) dont give up on me:)

I guess I'm totally in the minority on this one, but I really don't like to cruise. I feel like I should, but by the end of the cruise I CAN'T WAIT to get OFF THE BOAT. Maybe we've just had some bad experiences.

I cruised Sitmar back in the day with my mom and dad, and as an adult I've cruised Norwegian and Carnival. I do want to try a Disney cruise. I feel like maybe that's the element I'm missing?

If I hang around with cruise-lovers maybe it will rub off on me.

I'm right there with you. I love boats & ships and I've done day cruises but I've never been able to convince myself to try a regular cruise b/c I'm not a rest & relax sort of vacation person. I like to be super busy on a vacation and I just don't see that as possible on a cruise. But maybe all the excitement will rub off on me.
Heck, before this group I never added a day to an already set vacation!:rotfl:So anything is possible!!

Take a rest and feel better, everyone will still be here!:flower3:
Seriously, you are doing such a good job, there's been so much info the past 2 days, it's hard to keep up just reading it all! We've got a new thread, CLP, an engagement, cruises, BOG news, added days and ADR changes, OH MY!!! I think I need a nap too!!:lmao:

NO, Not at all! We have sailed Carnival twice and really enjoyed it! And I've pretty much made up my mind we will take the girls on Carnival for their first cruise instead of DCL....For the price of DCL, we can do a week on carnival and a week at wdw! Hopefully, one day DCL will come out with promos (like wdw with fd) that will make it financially do-able for everyone! I just can't justify the expense yet!

Keep us posted on your cruise plans!!

Big OT.............................................................................

I have a future daughter daughter in law. My oldest proposed to his girlfriend tonight. And we are so, so happy. She just fits.:love::love:

Can you tell I'm thrilled!!

Congrats!!

I don't think I have requested to be added to the front page :confused3

We will be stay at AOA 11/24 - 12/01 LM room

Going with Hubby and DD6 DD3

Thanks,

Marlene

I'm just going to tattoo "New to this" on my forehead, but here's my question, completely off topic.

When I booked this trip I just did the whole package through the Disney site. I think there may have been some promotion going on at the time but I don't remember (this was pre-obsession to all Disney details:rotfl:)

I had the trip completely paid off back in Feb but now I added a day and I have to pay a bit more. My question is this, if I somehow end up with a mythical pin code or discount code and I'm already all paid off do they do some kind of refund? Would they even offer me a discount if it's already paid off? And do they really give discounts if you call and just ask if there is a code associated to my name? Also, we already have DxDP, if they offered free dining would they just give me a discount on the DxDP? My head is spinning and I know this topic really belongs somewhere else but you guys are so super helpful that I really trust your answers/advice. Thanks!!:)

yes you get a refund. YOu can call to ask if you have a PIN attached to your name. If you dont, there may a General Public discount offered. If Free dining is offered, you will get the regular plan free and then pay the up grade. My upgrade was about $500 for the week. Its like $33 per adult and $9 or $12 per child. Its not too bad! yes we could save alot more doing just the FDing...but I wanted more meals! Now we have this cruise booked...I dont want to think about going back to reg dining so Im trying to talk myself out of it:rotfl:

Interesting, thank you, those were all my questions I felt were too silly to ask. :upsidedow

And don't you even think about going back to the regular plan, you have perfect ADR's, you can't mess with them. You can't take away from this trip for the next trip, live in the moment and all that stuff!:)
