Bought my return flights home last night. They had gone up $5 each, but were still $126 a ticket and since I got flights down with points it ended up costing just over $500 for 4 of us. Maybe could have gotten $99 if I waited but I was worried. Peace of mind is worth $100.
Also decided to do MVMCP on the 12 th, but waiting to be able to buy discounted DVC tickets.

:thumbsup2

When you book, they give you a time. Ours was 815 or 830 I cant remember. Then you wait in a line, you are seated and you are free to get dessert. Then you sit and talk and wait for wishes to start Wishes on the party night was 930 and we sat at 830 then the castle lighting ceremony started we watched that then we sat for a bit and watched the castle change colors.... it was magical. I cant wait!

SOLD!! :rotfl2: Now to wait for reservations times to be released.

They are going to be so exicted when I just casually tell them...well we kind of have plans tonight to do something really special then head over to the Magic Kingdom-- they will think that the Disney part of their trip is over when in fact, there will be one last special surprise!! I can't wait. This is shaping up far better than I ever imagined it would!! Come on November!!!

Thought you might like to see these. Absolut_Mandy makes them. This is what I'm giving the kids to surprise them.

Thanks for letting me see these! Awesome!!! I can't wait to surprise my girls, they are going to be so shocked I think and I am so happy I can do this for them....its been awhile since our last disney trip- Me and my oldest daughter Sarah last went in 2006 when we were down visiting colleges and for my youngest it was way back in 2004, so we are all so overdue and have had major Disneyitis!! I can't wait and the time can't come soon enough!!

Which night are you doing it? It seems its only held 2 nights while we are there and NOT on an MVMCP niht which Im mad about! :headache:

Me too! When are you going?

We are going to try for Wednesday the 14th our backup is Saturday the 17th. Might be best to do it Saturday, since that is our last night.

I've been thinking and thinking of ways to surprise the kids on the day we leave for Disney! We are leaving November 10th....so I have time, but I would love ideas! DS is turning 8 in early December and DD will have just had a birthday (Nov.6th) by the time we leave...so we are thinking something that centers around going to Disney for their birthdays :goodvibes
I would love any ideas from you guys :)

I'm going to surprise my kids, too but not quite sure how. We are going to DW for a week and then a 4 night cruise. I am pretty sure I am going to do a scavenger hunt for Disney or travel related items (t-shirts, travel games, etc.). I was also thinking of using popcorn (I have the buckets) and root beer floats in the scavenger hunt. DS6 had a giant root beer float at Sunshine Tree Terrace and still talks about it a year and a half later! DCL has an option to have a character call your house. I think they announce the cruise but not sure. I will probably try to include that in it.

DS6's birthday is on June 21st and since we will be celebrating DS9 and DD4's winter birthdays while we are in Disney, I thought we'd tell them on DS6's birthday so he doesn't feel left out. June 21st is quickly approaching. I'd better get going!

regarding fantasmic package :) Not to scare anyone but we went in September back in 2010 it was towards the end of the month which was supposed to be lowest crowds of the year almost and they had 2 Fantasmic shows and both the lines for waiting were crazy and like and hour + before show time, I was so so so :sad1: because I was so looking foward to it but couldn't wait in a line that long with my 2 yr old........

I've heard they have the same pictures on all 3 sides , so I would think the seating couldn't be that bad???? :confused3 I've only been once and we sat in the first rows right in the middle and that was awesome(this was a September trip too-still dumbfounded why our last sept. trip was so crowded, but all the parks were crowded that week)

Last year the castle lighting show WAS done on nights that MVMCP was held. Thats when we saw it. IT was a 9 and the wishes were 930 because our ADR was 830 for the DP and we were already seated

Yes, castle lighting is every night, regaular Wishes is what i was saying isn't on party nights:thumbsup2

The castle lights are the best!!! I have a picture of that from our last trip as my background on both my home and work computers.

Glad everything went well! I've sat in the waiting room through a few heart surgeries, and it isn't something I'd wish on anyone. Too stressful!

Not sure yet. But, yes, I noticed that right now it looks like only 2 nights during our week.

My hubby got $200 Disney rewards $$ when he applied for his Disney Visa. I also have a nice little chunk of rewards $$ from mine. Now, I could be frugal/responsible and apply his $200 to our trip bill or I could put that toward a TS lunch or character breakfast somewhere. Since I'm leaning in the direction on the meal, tell me your fave TS lunch or character meal & why. We've only done RF and Crystal Palace in the past. TIA!!

Tusker House Character breakfast in AK! The best I have ever done! The jungle juice is soooooo good! We have a pre RD one planned for this trip!

Okay...the castle lighting ceremony is at 6 only on non party nights?

I was planning on going on a party night, but not going to the party.
