I just got off the phone and the CM said H and V is only participating in the Fantasmic package for dinner in November. I was trying for November 11th.

Should I try again? Online I can only get dinner times to come up too.

I am sorry! I just reread this and we are doing Mama Melrose. I didn't even notice the H and V. I would love to go to H and V!

With a 3 yr old, seeing Manny and Oso is a must. We're doing lunch there anyway, so I figured if I could add on Fantasmic seating I might as well. Wishful thinking!

Honestly, I'm not even entirely sure we will do Fantasmic.

Speaking of strollers, American Airlines lost our Maclaren Volo that we gate checked on our way to Turks and Caicos. I had it in a bright red gate check bag with our info on it too. We were there for 10 days and it showed up at our hotel room on the last night. I was glad to get it back but it really didn't help for that particular trip. Stupid airlines!

Our best lost luggage story is the time Airtran lost our pack n play. They NEVER found it. Weeks later, I was on the phone with their lost luggage center, and they guy was looking sround the warehouse for it. He says, "You said it was green?" "Yep," I said. "Well, I've got a brown one here. Do you want IT?" "NO!!! I want my OWN pack n play!!!" CRAZY!!!

Good news regarding flight prices....we fly Continental out of Houston--we have been looking at $444 RT each person, well, this morning they have dropped a wee bit to $404!! I know that's still ridiculous, but at least it's dropping and not rising--It hasn't budged since Feb/March, so I am excited to see that! So, for all of you who wait till the 12 week mark like we do--there is hope!!

I'm hoping they'll go down to at least $350! I'm not sure what part of twon you live in, but flights from Austin (especially SW) are MUCH cheaper (like $120 each way!). If you're on the west or northwest side of town, it mgiht be worth the drive. We live in Friendswood, SE of town, so it's over a 3 hour drive to get to Austin from here .

We're booked for F! lunch @ Mama Melrose for the 16th. I'd call and ask for a different CM.

H & V usually gets a pretty bad rap for food. We've never eaten there b/c of all the bad reviews. Also, remember, they do not have Characters for the F! package, if that's why you wanted to eat there.

I looked at the Nov dates for the dessert party and according to the calendar it is not available on MVMCP nights? Is this new this year. I've read numerous posts about people doing the DP during MVMCP and MNSSHP. DH and I really enjoyed this in May 2011. We would need to do this before the rest of the family arrives since DGS (7) and DSIL are not big on desserts. Honestly wouldn't be worth the $$ as there is nothing that those two would eat. Planning on attending MVMCP but can't decide if I want to use all that party time eating.

That was the toughest reservation for me to make - not because of availability, but because it meant giving up my previously scheduled Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare for a Disney Junior character meal - all for the sake of my boys. Ugh - so unfair!!

I was hoping to book the Fantasmic package for that day, until I realized they didn't offer it for lunch. We do have a fantasmic package for Mama Melrose later in the week, so I figure if for any reason we can't get seats on the 11th, they are guaranteed on the 15th. If we do happen to see it on the 11th, I will cancel my Fantasmic package, and try to get the Cinderella dinner on the 15th!!

We agreed to do half adult meals and half kids meals this trip. I wish time would have allowed to do it this trip but it didn't. I am excited about MM's though. I have heard great things about it. It is one of our "adult" meals. Is it correct that you also get an appetizer with the F! package?

You are a good Mamma! Did you tell them yet? I just loved watching the little boys all shy when the stepsisters and Cindy came around to the tables lol. Aww, I hope it works out and you can get it on the 15 but if not you will have the joy of seeing them enjoying themselves at H and V .

BTW...anyone booking the Fantasmic package...online the earliest bookings are usually showing around 1:30pm. If you call in they are earlier. We were able to get a 12pm. by calling in.

Is anyone else NOT making reservations for a Fantasmic! package? We want to see Fantasmic!, but it's my understanding that the reserved seats aren't that great. Can anyone confirm?

I decided not to book the Fantasmic! package since we don't like H&V and no one wants to eat at MM. But we will be there the first week of November which shouldn't be too bad. Last year at the end of August we were able to just walk in and got really good seats in the center towards the top so we could see everything and also get out quickly when it was over.

The castle is lit up every night and let me tell you it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Yay!!!! I'm so happy to hear that! My dd7 saw a pic of the castle with all the lights and said 'maybe we should go when the castle looks like that'...she has no idea that is exactly my plan. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't just for the party since we aren't going.

We are a little under 2 hours from the airport in Houston-northeast of it...we are closer to Louisiana,...I am reaaaaaally hoping to see airfare drop to the low 3s or maybe the 2s by July...I heard they should be coming down now that fuel is dropping around here. I have a little time to wait it out, so that's good! And that $40ish drop this morning was a great sign!!
I sure hope that Be Our Guest is open for our trip in November!! I will just hate if it opens after Tday right after we all leave
