I would think that would be alot of party time wasted when you can view the fireworks from other areas. PLUS after paying the almost $60 p/p for the party you are going to be paying another $25+p/p for the DP. JMHO

I agree. I wouldn't want to waste precious MVMCP time with another party. It's just too much, IMO.

Well last year it was just DH and I and I HAD too. They didnt offer it any other night. It wasnt that bad. I just mentioned it because I would have to re-arrange my schedule which after I did isnt so bad after all. I can fit other hings in even a pr RD ADR for CP :) so it was a good switch

It's definitely worth an early ADR to walk down an empty Main St. I'd book CP again just for that.

I was thinking the same thing about our ADR for CP at 8:15 the morning we leave. The park opens at 9 AM, and we figure we will be allowed in about 10 minutes before the ADR to make our way to CP and the view down Main Street should be amazing, weather permitting

Ill keep looking for an earlier ressie but with 11ppl Im lucky to get the 8:40 2 weeks after my 180 mark :goodvibes

I talked my grandparents into staying a night outside orlando before driving home so we can go either Mon 11/26 or Wed 11/28! YAY!!!! I know we will get one of them! Id rather go the Wed that way I can keep the schedule I love already!

I asked this on the FB board, but I don't think anyone answered me.. LOL BUT, when you get into the park early like that.. as in my case - 8am for an 8:30am reservation... is there music playing and stuff or is it all quiet and ghost town like? ;)

We are going Nov 23-30, staying at POR and I have a few questions.

First, we are considering the MVMCP. What do you think the least crowded night to visit would be Sunday 25th, or Tuesday 27th? Also, if you could let me know what kind of crowds to expect, good parade spots, and do you think it is worth the cost (there are 5 of us: myself, dh, ds 9, ds 7, and dd 5).

Also, we got free dining for the week. Is there a way to arrange a split stay using the free dining without buying 2 sets of tickets, or would I have to do a room only and pay for dining for one of the resorts? I would love to stay at the Poly for 2 of the 7 nights, but don't want to buy 2 sets of tickets. If I can't do it, that's fine, we will be more than happy at POR. But 2 nights at the Poly would be awesome.

Thank you for any help, advice, tips, etc ...:yay:

Id go the Tuesday though. Tues and Wed seem to be the less crowded days

You could do a split stay but the cost of a 2day ticket might out weigh alot of the FDing costs. I was thinking that too if I didnt get FDing our whole stay. Which we did. If it were me, Id just do FDIng the whole time at POR

I remember music every time we have gone in early. We've always done an early ADR on every trip just to be alone and enjoy it.

We had before park reservations at the castle. We were lined up before they started to let people in. If I remember correctly, the music started right when the CM came out to let us in the park.

I just got off the phone with my grandma and now have a descision to make. They will stay at a hotel outside of Disney if we get the Wednesday night Dessert Party. It would fit better into our plans but if I do it on Monday, I have to worry about the 8 and 9 crowd levels, but I would get the pre RD Crystal Palace and Ohana breakfast. If we do Wednesday, would just keep what we have which meant MK on arrival day and MK on Departure day with CP as our last meal. I am not sure if walking up an empty Main st is worth crowd levels at a 9! any thoughts???

My grandson saw the pictures and videos of the new Art of Animation resort..couldn't stop talking about it..:love::love:

Goodbye POFQ...Hello Little Mermaid... :grouphug::banana::banana:

I must admit...kinda excited about it myself. :woohoo:

What is the crowd level of your other day? How long do you plan on staying in the MK that day (all day?)

I was thinking that we could go back and have a swim or something. I looked at TP Sunday(DHS) would be 9.9 and Monday(MK) would be a 7.9

Would the other days be much lighter if you switched back though? If its only a difference of 1 or something I would keep it but if you are jumping from a 5 to an 8 I wouldn't.

I think I may hang on to the MK Monday-to do the pre RD CP then I will switch our DHS to another day.... we will stick with DTD/Disneyquest our arrival day-I checked out TGM and no way am I doing a 9.9 day!

I spent the better part of the afternoon trying to figure out how I could fit everything in. I think I have it figured out. WITH keeping the Pre-RD CP and Ohanas for breakfast onour departure day...and F! package. The only thing I have to give up to keep F! is Chef Mickeys and put a pre RD H&V breakfast in its place. That will make the whole day DHS for us. Which is ok. PHEW now Im telling myself 'back away from the ADR"S!' Which I have to anyway becaus as I was switching things around and cancelling not needed ADR's I noticed alot of times not available and its gonna be harder to switch things after this....which is ok:) Now I can book the Dessert party on which ever night I can get it:)

Where do I find peak season vs reg. season for dining?

I'm just trying to guestimate my costs for a TS meal. Today both my oldest ds and my hubby told me they would like to do an early ADR at Crystal Palace again. Hmmm... Now I'll have to check that with my parents to see if they want to go, and I'll have to see if my sis & her SO want to go. I guess I'll run it by my dd, too, since she tends to be my partner in crime for Disney planning.
