November 2012 Trip planners #4~almost Disney time! Everyone welcome!

You know I have just decided to start a new thread. I want everyone to know how unfair it is that my Ohana ressie isn't at 6:30 (my perfect time) instead of 5:00. IT IS SO UNFAIR!!!! Why oh why can't I have a 6:30 ressie. :scared1: :rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

Was that whiney enough. :rotfl:

I have lots of great ADR's and I got all of them on my 180+10 day which is apparantly a very selfish thing to do according to that other thread. I should not have 6 Pre Rope Drop breakfasts, which includes 2 meals at CRT, an Ohana and Tusker House. It's insanity.
You get what you can when you call and people that really like you and really want you to have a good time will say Yay!!!:cool1: even if BOG isn't open for me, I'm happy for every single person in this group (and the FB group) that got an ADR today! As my daddy would say, "More power to you!"
Have a good day and sleep good tonight!:goodvibes

YAY! On yourCRT's!!!!!! I hope you go and enjoy every one of them!:yay:

Why is Ohana so hard to get? Is it still the character breakfast w/Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, & Pluto?

We did it a few years back when the boys were younger. It's very cool decor, great food, etc. I just don't remember anything being as hard to get as CRT. CRT took me 5 trips before I could get it before online registration. Ah, the good ole days...lol NOT.

Just using examples of other hard to get ressies.... thats all:hug:

I hope you enjoy your meals. I picked up my ADRs at the 180+10 mark as well. That is an advantage to staying on property. I even scored a 8am BBB appointment for DD for pre-rope drop. I am excited as it is still a suprise.

It is dinner that seems to be hard to get. I am drooling thinking about it.

Exactly... I got the ADRs I wanted because I planned in Advance... It's crazy to get all bent out of shape over a lunch or dinner reservation. And to be so jealous that you get mad at a complete stranger on the Internet? Seriously..... People need to get over it... And keep trying! It's 3 months away - lots of things can happen between now and then!

Is it the same set up though? I am just curious, I feel out of the loop:). As my kids have gotten older (13 & 11), I don't do every character meal under the sun like I did in the past:). My boys both have autism, and in the past the only way we could get photos of my younger son with characters was to do character dining. He couldn't tolerate the lines. My 13 year old has Aspergers or high functioning autism. He is a character hunting FIEND. I scrapbook all our trips, so he likes to have photo layouts of all the characters he can find! This did not sit well with younger son, who would get quite upset if there was a scrapbook layout without him in it. Character dining was CRUCIAL for us & we LOVED EACH & EVERY ONE:)))

My family has sooo many wonderful memories from character dining experiences. I think we have done them all over the years (seriously). I hope all of you with younger kids enjoy it just as much as we do!

Best Wishes!

So true!!:thumbsup2

PS. We still do character dining! CRT for dinner this trip:). My youngest FINALLY started waiting in character lines in 2010, but we still love characters! MICKEY'S BBQ, Chef Mickeys & CRT are some of our favorites. We miss Liberty Tree Tavern colonial characters!

It always has amazed me at how rude some folks can get when it comes to Disney stuff. Years ago I went to MK and saw people literally fighting to get on a tram and in line to see Mickey. For this trip and my last a couple of years ago I did 180 day reservations for dining. Last time we had two CRT meals as a result. This year we are going thanksgiving week so I knew that ADRs would be a must. As it is I wanted to change part of my schedule and couldn't even 90 days out get a reservation where I wanted to eat, so we kept the schedule the way it is. Even for our BBB reservation I was lucky to get a time slot 180 days out.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

That was my whole point it was just crazy that those people, actually more than 1 but the one really ticked me off, attacked Erin just b/c she managed to get 2 ressie's for BOG from 2 different phone calls. And the guy used having 2 ADR's for the same place as being nasty to others somehow... I have 2 CRT's b/c we want to see what breakfast is like and dinner...how is that rude if it was available to me?:confused3
We also have an 8am BBB that my DD3.5 is Thrilled about! I wasn't trying to be braggy about our ADR's, it's just the point that I should somehow feel guilty b/c I managed to make them...gimme a break.

And I want to add that I absolutley LOVE this thread and EVERYONE on it. Why do we seem so reasonable and lovely compared to all those other wackadoo's out there?:rotfl:

Hmmm maybe its the water over here.....all the adding days as well...:rotfl2:

I remember getting frustrated when I couldn't get a ressie, but I realized I had to play the game if I wanted certain things. I never got mad at more experienced Mouseheads, instead I learned from their knowledge. If I want a ressie, I start 1st thing 180 plus travel days out, just like if I want a certain spot for a parade, I get there 1 hour before & plop down. If I don't plan ahead, I take what I can get & be happy about it.

With all the info on the web, travel agents, google, Disboards, there is more than enough info to prepare & preplan the trip of your dreams. And do so within budget.

Whenever I can't get a ressie it just doubles my determination and I try that much harder. I don't get upset at the ones that are getting them.

It always gave me an excuse to go back;)

Good Evening ALL!!

Whew what a emotionally draining and physically exhausting day!! After nearly and hour and 45 min. on phone and finally getting my ADR for BOG- went to work- saw my patient, then drove 2 hours to this mall in Newark DE to take Rachel school shopping----she heard me talking about it and just had to go. Just got home and I am sooooooooo tired!! its been such a long day. Congrats to all those who were fortunate enough to perervere and get those ressies and for those who didn't I truly understand how frustrated you all must be. But don't give up as said before, I am sure there will be cancellations...keep trying.

All our plans are now finally set in place and all I need now is to finish paying off trip and get our airfare---oh and I heard today that I was approved for the extra 3 days at end of trip. Yay!! So all in all, we added a total of 4 days!! So excited :)
